If he can control the vector of air why doesn't he just redirect wind to push him anywhere he wants?
why does uiharu wear clothes?
she could be butt naked in the middle of a blizzard or skinny dip in lava with her power
>redirect wind to push him anywhere he wants
Wind? Why be so complicated? He could just fuck with gravity.
Anyway, the thing with Accelerator is that he's not really interested in his powers. Sure, he enjoys ripping people to shreds every once in a while, but he'd be totally okay with a 100% normal life. Flying everywhere would be out of character for him.
Because he looks badass with a crutch
Also flying in raildex is not that good of an idea
That's not much of an argument, considering, he can calculate all of the air of academic city to create plasma and then said, it's not even that hard.
Seriously, his calculation abilities are so fucking insane, bet it's probably impossible for anyone in real life to reach him.
He's gimped to half his calculation ability now, though that still wouldn't stop him.
What stops him is that he never really got creative with his powers until the Touma fight, and shortly after that he got stuck with a time limit that he can't afford to waste on trips to the convenience store.
The story behind the spell says that a man levitating with the help of a demon was made to fall and break his neck when he lost the demon's protection. It shouldn't be impossible to make it work on espers since they are basically people who got powers thanks to science, something some magicians consider a devilish force, and we have seen magicians messing with esper powers before.
Remember that Accel fight in Hawaii. It is not hard to imagine that if that had happened while he was flying at high speeds he would have fallen to his death.
Flying is an stupid power anyways.
Pray for Index III and you we may get a dogfight between angels
I don't think you guys get it. It's by divine providence that accelerator cannot beat Touma. EVER.
he can probably tell apart but he never does it.
> Why does Kuroko bathe if she can teleport the dirt, sweat and dead skins cells away from her body?
it doesn't work that way
because pooping and peeing feel good man, the same reason we dont all go and get catheters and colostomy bags for kicks
and yes, childbirth for kuroko should be considerably easier than a non teleporter
But my autism blocks me from even glancing at New Testament before reading the Old Testament.
Just like in catholic school, I used to rage whenever the priest-teacher skipped from verse to verse.
if I were to tell you to skip to a chapter right now I would say go read the New Testament volume 9 right now.
just do it
you get to see some Touma suffering some Touma dying a lot. hand some sexy sexy magic God
because he currently doesn't have enough calculation power to do that.
he needed a 100 percent of his brain just a mess with last orders
now with the clothes they can't even put out half
so maybe some stem cell injections can fix that
He needed damn near 100% of his calculation ability to rewrite LO's brain. Performing brain surgery on himself without making things worse would probably take more than the 50% he gets from the network.
That has never been stated in the novels, yes there is an increase on his calculation ability but that doesn't mean he can manifest other people's power. If things worked like that Kazakiri should be a multi-skill, and she isn't
I just realized there is a little heart in her crotch
He controls the vectors below his feet to move faster in battle
Moving fast behind someone is a very common thing in anime, you don't need to teleport to do it
> that has never been stated
yes it has actually. in the epilogue after he first got the angel powers Alastair said to aiwass " the AIM field has now been downloaded into the vector control device"
but that doesn't mean he can manifest other people's power. If things worked like that Kazakiri should be a multi-skill, and she isn't
He was talking about the ceremony to make science angels and how his actions advanced the keikaku
I wonder if you have multiple personalities you get multiple skills
less than half actually
and he can't going to Angel no just whenever he wants only when he wants to protect someone.
He usually has better things to do when he goes angel mode, like being edgy or protecting the people he loves
>priest teacher fucking up like that
reading new testament before finishing old is not only being a filthy secondary, but an apostate and heretic to boot
It has more to do with the fact that he doesn't need to for the most part, even less now that he is living his happy ending
His wound is both a punishment for his sins and his bond with LO. He has to reason to fix it now that he is in a path to redemption
Nah, that's just what I think.
In the latest Index LN volume it was revealed that
Aleister Crowley has a power called Archetype Controller, which allows him to control jungian archeytpe. With it he could do shit like changing people views of science from the pseudo-religion that exists in the Raildexverse so something heretic like in the Middle Ages, causing anyone from the Science Side who disobeys Crowley to get persecuted. Some people brought up the posibility that he is using Archetype Controller to make people who fight Touma lose by forcing into them the conception of "Those who oppose the Hero always lose".
I still think that the reason why Hamazura sticks in Crowley's craw so much is that, unlike Touma and Accelerator, his heroics defy the neat categories of archetypes. He was intended as a minor character who would be BTFO by Touma and Accelerator in a sidestory novel, and then according to the oh-so-reliable sources in the Dark Side, he was supposed to have died against Mugino. But then he saves Takitsubo and Mugino and gains Takitsubo as a lover in direct defiance of the medium's unwritten rules which state that the male hero must be as pure as snow.
>I wonder if you have multiple personalities you get multiple skills
Nope. Powers are tied to the physical brain/body, not personality. Another personality might use the power differently but that's it.
He isn't a Hero like Touma but neither is he an Anti-Hero like Accelerator.
He is just a normal guy protecting his waifu and his friends who is as likely to risk his life to protect a little kid as he is to torture someone to death to get what he wants.
Hamazura is too much of a normalfag and that makes Crowley mad.
personal reality it's based on how they view the world. and their powers evolve the more they understand it.
so yes a person with multiple personality disorder would have multiple powers depending on each personality.
the whole thing between magic and science in this series is based on views.
accelerator actually is capable of going to Angel mode at any point in time.
why is limited to only when he's trying to protect someone?
is because those are his views and those that what he believe he should do. he believes that with an angel does.
so this is also possible that if someone had amnesia they could gain a new power based on their new views.
Like aiwass said
" do with it what you will with the whole of the law"
it's basically the key to the aeon of Horus.
>so yes a person with multiple personality disorder would have multiple powers depending on each personality.
No, they wouldn't. They're not normal cases of MPD but we have multiple examples (Misakas, Kakine, Rensa) showing that the same body will have the same power even when the personality is completely different.
basically magic and personal really work on how you view the world.
magic based on miss stories and legends.
personally reality based on science and world views
still both are trapped within the aeon of Osiris
and until they free themselves from God's religions emotional things from the world they will never answer the
aeon of Horus
basically saying do what the hell you want not what others want you to do and if you do believe in what you want. Shall be the law that govern you
it's basically saying
" you run the world the world doesn't run you"
Maybe it has to do with the way the brain is programmatically set up. After all, we've seen that people can manifest powers they don't in Level Upper and Rensa, kind of like "running someone's program."
That seems most likely, Dark Matter has shown the ability to produce specific esper powers by creating brains customized for those purposes, but the brains involved in that experiment didn't seem to have their own personalities.
NT4 or so, the massacre in Baggage City.
Kihara Byouri grew brains on her fingers using borrowed Dark Matter, which apparently was starting to turn her into Kakine near the end due to overuse.
Kakine himself confirmed accelerators wings were made of dark matter.
I'm not putting things in my ass.
his wings are made of fucking dark matter.
what do you think they're made of them vectors?
> Seeing the black wings, Teitoku deemed to be made from Dark Matter. Impressed by its power, Teitoku that Dark Matter is only suitable as a spare plan, though he says that it doesn't meant it's all decided. With that his wings spread out and glowed, Accelerator and Dark Matter, black wings and white wings, the organic and inorganic, the One Who Wields the Power of God and the One Who has Touched the Territory of God, face to face
anon that same section used this to describe them
>the One Who Wields the Power of God and the One Who has Touched the Territory of God
that line as well as what kakine thinks is pure bullshit.
It's a fundamentally different kind of magic from that utilized by traditional magicians, though, so St. Paul's nofun spell isn't likely to work the same given that it doesn't work on mundane methods of flight. Actually, given what happened with the Roman pope in NT10, it's possible that the person flying has to consider the method of flight magical for it to work.
why is the science left strong after their illusions get broken, some of them have even gotten stronger. but every magician gets his op spell broken or his magic abilities removed.
>olly lost his magic and then his arms
>all of gods right seat lost there abilities
Because the Science side has a super genius uber OP dude who used to be the strongest wizard in the world pulling the strings and manipullating everyone while the Magic Side only has Laura.
That isn't what it means at all. Do what thou wilt means following your True Will (destiny, true purpose in the universe etc) and moving beyond unrelated thoughts and desires, not just doing whatever you want.
The aeon of Osiris is a period where mankind's spiritual views were dominated by self-sacrifice, dying/resurrecting deities, and favoring the spiritual over the material. Accel's wings were stuck there because of his self-hating villain mindset and hero worship.
The aeon of Horus is a period where mankind's spiritual views become dominated by self-realization. The power curriculum uses it as the basis for a new form of magic, Touma is basically punching it into people, and Accel's wings moved up and started working properly once he admitted that he just wants to be with his loli.
what if you have two bodies?
You can probably get away with it if your power is BS or you're just suicidal. I bet Saten would have enough guts to get in one good spell before she died.
Nothing's stopping her.
Your esper power would be shit anyway, otherwise AC would have wasted money on developing your skills.
It's funny to think about all those ignorant lvl 0s thinking they have an amazing potential that hasn't bloomed yet when the reality is that they don't have powers because their powers are shit,
Gunha could probably cast spells just fine even though he's an expert. his guts will overcome the pain.
that's assuming he even gets pain
same thing with dark matter. he could probably make disposable clones to cast spells.
an Academy city could just make some non Esper clones and have them cast spells.
Mosaki could probably mind control people to do magic. or mind control magicians. for get some people to see in the Gregorian choir like izzard did.
basically the experts have to find a workaround in order for them to do magic or find a way for it to not hurt their body
It's not even about the keikaku.
You need to be useful to the keikaku to get past Lvl 4 but up to that point as long as your power isn't shit AC will spend some resources in developing you.
If Misaki were to read indexes mind could she possibly handle the grimoires?
they both have perfect photo graphic memory?
and it's been shown that even spells could be saved on the Clones network.
because Saints have souls
imagine breaker in the gates what is not considered normal in this world
imagine breaker does not negate souls
Saints have souls therefore imagine breaker does not negate them
this is also the reason y Toma doesn't kill anyone with a single touch
They move at supersonic speeds and have superstrenght so he either can't move fast enough to negate their attacks or the moment he enters in contact with the attack the strenght of the impact fucks him up anyway.
That's why he developed the "Use the goody two shoes Saint to block the other more assholish Saints" countermeasure.
You could have a fucking great power but if you Parameter Out at level one there's no point. Electromastery is a good skill but if you're level one all you'll ever be able to do is make sparks.
I don't know, powers like Telekinesis sound cool even if you are a level 1 who can only levitate a paper sheet for a few seconds.
Not as cool as being a Level 5 with a Gravity Control power or something like that, but Telekinesis is cool anyway.
Which has been the shittiest Esper power introduced in Raildex so far?
I'm pretty sure one of those Level Upper girls introduced in Railgun had a completely shitty power but I forgot about it.
because they are born that way. that level of strength and speed is from their natural in born "normal" physical capabilities. they can't be nerfed to human limitations because they were always above humans. This is without magic, too.
>Which has been the shittiest Esper power introduced in Raildex so far?
Uiharu. Either she has turned into a bunch of flowers and got stuck mind-controlling a loli body OR she just grow a bunch of flowers on her head.
There weren't any that were particularly bad. Level Upper introduces girls with Aero Hand, Dummy Check, Flux Coat, and Synchotron, but all of those are more impressive than Uiharu's (unless you're talking about her power).
Magicians and Espers use completely different magic systems.
Espers originated because the strongest magician of all times suddenly went " Fuck your shitty magic for plebs, I will create my own magic with science and robots".
Everyone's always talking about how amazing Accelerator's powers are and all the things he can reflect or whatever. However, what if someone decided to simply nuke the entire planet?
The blast wouldn't kill him, but it's possible that he might asphyxiate, shut down for lack of computational power or electricity, or starve to death after such a blast.
Of course, Accelerator would never Last Order's home be destroyed, so this would never happen.
amount of time she did it is actually unknown.
basically resetting Tomo sentire suffering cycle killing him and then sending him back to beginning of his life
>But who the fuck cares about some shitty lv 0s?
Parameter List wasn't made for shits and giggles. AC doesn't have unlimited resources, and shitty espers consume far more than they give back. There would be less available for other projects like superplanes and mechs, the espers with high potential would never reach it, and the projects based on esper powers like fiveover, equ.darkmatter, and dark may would never get started in the first place.
You can't even blame them for hiding it. Nothing would change if was public except for shitty espers incessantly demanding the city waste billions to give them parlor tricks, because getting the best education in the world and having "mech pilot" as a viable career choice just isn't enough.
Misaka can breathe in hydrocarbons so she can probably breathe in water if she puts her mind towards electrolysis. I don't think Accelerator has ever demonstrated control over individual molecules, though (the closest is probably his brain surgery).
not while Alistair has anything to say about it. and the nuke is the last thing these guys are scared of.
you're quite several characters I could tank nukes as if nothing happened
I don't mean that nobody would ever try, I mean that if somebody did try Accelerator would fly up and stop them (and Raildex is a world where anybody with enough power to beat Accelerator has better things to do than destroy the world).
he also negate synergy. heat energy, kinetic energy, light energy all types of energy.
and while in Angel mode accelerator doesn't really need to breathe and can actually create OXYGEN
When I say "nuke the planet" I mean blowing the entire planet itself up.
He might be able to stop them, but the point is that he'd have to stop them in the first place or else he'd die in space.
And he could always fail to stop them in time, especially if they fly off faster than he can catch them, or just destroy the planet from an entirely separate location without him even being aware until it's too late.
Accelerator's got awesome powers, but he's anything but broken.
Accelerator is about one step down from as strong as you can be before things like "material existence" become irrelevant, he's pretty top class.
At the really really high ends of the power spectrum, anybody who would try to destroy the whole earth would find themselves shut down by people just as strong who would prefer that the earth continue to exist.
even if the world with a blowup Alistair or some other magic god would ever so effortlessly recreate it. and I don't think the world blowing up with even affect balusters house. its called the calculat fortress for a reason.
even magic God can't just walk in there.
sure did disappear along with everything else. crowleys real hideout is in another phase/dimension given how his staff was described and since he was apparently in the tube and beating fiamma at the same time.
This is actually one of the things that bothers me the most. I guess vector mode probably takes a fucking shit ton of power and he can't spare the calculations when fighting. Or maybe it's one of those stupid psychological feedback block things.
The collar has the little machine that connects him to the Misaka Network, which allows him to do basic human task and not shit himself, also allows him to use his esper powers.
This might have been asked before, but I recently remembered reading a section in Index where it was talking about how the Saints got their powers, and it said that it was more or less based on luck but that it was you had to be "lucky" enough to have your body in a certain way, like bones, muscles or whatever other qualities it was. If it's based on your physical body though why has no one ever tried to clone Saints if it would work way better than the Sisters series ever would.
She would have been the perfect mother for Touma's children.
>the whole series looks like a poorly put together timeline.
What? Just watch it in production order.
Index I -> Railgun -> Index II -> Railgun S 1-16 -> Railgun manga
Or read the LN and Railgun manga.
You mean like forcing it all out violently? Probably not that long, if he could turn a sister inside out in relatively no time at all the same is probably true for blood. Although it may be a bit longer because its ALL the blood, though not much.
>baka-tsuki fags purged the Index novels from their shit site
Yen Press has licensed the first series, and in accordance with their guidelines they just removed the series. NT is still there.
She's the least interesting, least expanded-upon character who basically serves as nothing but a human punctuation mark on which to end a scene with Touma, usually by biting him.
What little she contributes to an episode usually boils down to her going into autism-mode and google-searching her library of magic books to do something incredibly minor like fuck with someone's spellcasting - something Touma would do were it not for the writers occasionally remembering Index exists and feeling guilty that she's not done anything in a while.
She's nothing but comic relief, and i use the word 'relief' very, very tentatively here.
>yfw magic god index will bear her legs
>implying this won't end with a cataclysmic battle of Laura Stewart and Magic God Index versus Aleister Crowley and Level 6 Railgun while Touma rallies all the friends he made over the years to set things right
Mikoto and Headcrab deserve to be shitposted and hated. Never seen a character so uninteresting being forced and stealing screentime in a series full of interesting and varied characters and girls.
It could be good, if the art ever improves and the artist gets rid of his black face issue, and thinks for two seconds about how some of the powers he's making up on the spot would work (No friction will not stop a giant mech no matter how high if it's just the air you idiot). Yeah I dunno, it still has that potential, just isn't living up to it so far
Because he only gets thirty minutes of battery for his choker while in esper mode.
It's an inefficient use of energy he might need later on when he can just walk to where he wants to go.
Because he does. And it's more efficient to just accelerate his own body around (which is what he does most of the time) instead of using something else to push him. He only uses wind for levitating or legit flight,
No, the white wings are not Telesma. Telesma doesn't mix with AIM/Dark Matter or other esper-related stuff, and is the "matter/energy" of heaven which is in the realm of magic. Aiwass is not made of Telesma either. Whtie Wings are still Dark Matter.
No, they are not. Wields the Power of God is literally being able to calculate the laws of the world. Touch the Territory of God is getting one of God's defining abilities (a creator). It also serves to show the difference between the strength and significance of their powers. It's the same as Othinus (power of god) and Ollerus (territory of god).
Except it IS true. Kakine confirmed them, and Kakine is an expert on the subject. Doubting him is the same as doubting everything.
Maybe that will change.I want to see these two in the novels so badly
The expert bullshit again? don't you get bored of being proved wrong
Brawling it out or fighting together?
Gunha has already acknowledged that Touma has balls of steel so it would work.
Though I want to see more Thor and Touma wrecking stuff together.
>Just like his white wings, that power truly was not a normal power.
Accelerator didn't say anything. The narration didn't compare the two powers, and merely said that they were "not normal". It wouldn't even make sense for the wings to be Telesma since Aleister has no need for Telesma, but is creating a world where AIM and Dark Matter replace it.
It would be an interesting fight. Gunha may be stronger than a saint but he is still just an esper, Touma should be able to negate his powers. Not only that, he was born with his powers and has depended on them his whole life so in theory he should be even weaker than Accel without them
You're the one spewing bullshit. You might as well not believe any and all explanations if you just randomly and unreasonably pick and choose what you want to believe. You might as well not believe that Touma is even male despite the narration repeatedly mentioning him as a healthy high school boy.
>Negating what even Gunha doesn't know
If the power is just making him stronger, there's about zero chance Touma can win, hell, Gunha picks up a bat, bam, Touma is completely fucked because the bat is mundane and just being sped up by Gunha. It's like that but with his fist, I doubt it's some kind of cloak draped over him, it's innate.
Saints have naturally high strength. You can't negate that. Plus their body fortification magic works inside their body (muscles), so you can't IB that reliably. It's the same way for someone like Ladylee (Touma would have to touch all her body parts simultaneously).
No, he didn't. Kanazki blocked Acqua's movement while Touma blocked his magic.
>You might as well not believe any and all explanations
It is healthy not to believe everything you read, specially in a series where characters are systematically proven wrong the whole time. Unless there is evidence I don't trust what Kamachi's characters say.
On that note >>118715442
You're obviously just an idiot then, in a medium where the only information you get is from characters in that universe you usually trust until proven wrong unless the character is a known liar. Otherwise you have literally zero information you can believe, none.
No, it's not. You're just being an idiot with bad reading comprehension. There are characters who talk about things they know nothing about, there are those who purposely say wrong or misleading things, and there are those who are experts whose words reflect the reality of their field of expertise. Doubting everything means you don't know any of the characters and don't have enough understanding of the lore and narrative.
It was an example to point out how if the power isn't draped over him like some cloak Touma can't reach the power to negate it and is shit out of luck. He might be able to negate the amazing punches shockwave and stuff, but the actual punch or Gunha himself I doubt he can affect
Characters are not the only source of info and most of them has been proven wrong, those with expertise in a field more often than not
Kakine himself realized he was full of shit the second Accel went black wings on his ass
It amazes how little critical reading some people has
You would need to spend more energy cranking it than the charger would be able to generate. At best the input and output would be equal.
He might not actually, there's a certain amount of energy needed to make calculations, and of those calculations it's the same amount of energy no matter how big the number involved is more or less. You could have a very simple equation output a large force on a crank if you wanted to be convoluted enough.
It would look stupid as fuck and Worst would never stop laughing at his little spinning crank but it could work.
She's always in super-human mode. Vol 4 is talking about getting on the level of an Angel and actually manage to damage one. Remember that Christian spells can't damage Christian angels.
Kakine didn't realize he was full of shit. Stop writing fanfiction and actually pay attention to what you read.
>most of them has been proven wrong, those with expertise in a field more often than not
Name them. Volume and circumstances.
>You will never spend Christmas with your magic cabal boss imouto
He doesn't do the calculations, he offloads them to the network. The choker handles the data transmission, and that's what eats up power. We don't know how much power the battery actually has and how much is needed to supply the choker. Accelerator was once charging directly from high voltage lines with a makeshift transformer but that only got him a few seconds of additional battery life at most.
I don't think the character limit in 4chan would allow me to make a synopsis of every major event involving a magician or scientist that has appeared in the more than 40 volumes that make this franchise
And that's only for fighting against Angels. All Saints get their bodies strained when fighting at high speeds. That's the reason why Acqua with his DMM is the only one who can realize the full potential of a Saint.
Still, it is likely that the amount of power needed for calculations is smaller than the maximum output of power he could make, I doubt it's even close to the maximum.
How much is the character limit anyways, I've never reached it.
The burden of proof is on the guy who makes the claim that everyone is full of shit actually, see you in two months once you've finished analyzing every battle and narration ever in Index
Again, calculations don't need power. What needs power is the data transmission (which includes translation, etc), which is what the choker is for. The Sisters do the calculations for him.
Also, you don't have to wait for me to reply as I will reply and explain what's wrong in all your posts over the course of the thread, until the archive, and up to the next few years. Go ahead and be as exhaustive as you want.
Wait, I don't think we're reaching an understanding here. What I'm saying is that a simple calculation (eg 100*-1) needs to be translated from brain language to machine language, then sent to the Sisters. After the Sisters do the calculations, the data (results) is sent back to the choker, which then does the translation again (now from machine to brain language). Now the problem comes when the calculation is repetitive/looping. That single command will keep generating results that need to be received and translated for a certain amount of time. This isn't even counting the type and size of data generated by each calculation. That is what drains the battery.
It doesn't matter if it's repetitive, you don't seem to understand the idea that the loop itself will be generating some energy. I'm saying if sending the command costs 5 units of energy, and he can get even just 8 units from the action then it would work in theory. Additionally that the amount of energy required to make the calculation of "push 100g of force in x direction" Shouldn't be much more complicated or require much less energy than "push 100 tons of force in x direction" the only time limits have come up for Accel are large amounts of time or very large amounts of objects to manipulate like LO's brain cells. One single action repeated shouldn't be an issue.
Because he never thought about doing that.
It's that simple. Everyone will miss the simplest ideas a few times.
E.g. the classic problem of how do you detect a loop in a linked list took PhDs in computer science TWELVE FUCKING YEARS to come up with the solution.
eh? Where is this said?
I think I haven't gone that far in the story line to see that mentioned. At the very least I haven't seen this being shown in all the Raildex anime and Railgun manga.
Where not talking about simple pushes here. When you're charging something, you're effectively pushing electrons continuously for a certain period of time. When you're cranking something, you're continuously applying acceleration to the crank to make it spin in a circle. It's not a simple force in one direction. Then, the process involved here would be calculating the vector for the crank every once per 'x' amount of time.
And you're just inventing the cost/reward units. here. You're saying it costs 5 to generate 8, I'm saying, very generously, that it costs 5 to generate 4. The novel implies that this ratio is greater by some orders of magnitude,
That's the thing where you have two pointers starting at the beginning of the list, and then move one two steps while the other is moved one each iteration and if the first ever ends up at a position in the list before the second you have a loop, right?
Yeah nah, I doubt the amount of energy Accel outputs during a single fight nevermind the entire life of his battery is the same size or smaller than the charge of his battery. If you could get even half of that energy that ends up completely wrecking environments into that battery he'd be fine. He fucking picks up a building and throws it at the windowless building. What the hell makes you think that kind of energy isn't going to be able to charge a fucking battery, stop overcomplicating this shit, it isn't done because Accel hasn't thought of it, doesn't want to, and plot. But that doesn't mean it isn't at the very least plausible, stop pretending it's some fucking far fetched idea.
"Very generously" my ass
Yes. The tortoise and the hare algorithm is the simplest way (implementation-wise) to solve the problem.
Cycle detection in a linked list is a terrible coding interview question imo, you need to have seen the answer before - besides it took 12 years for someone to even come up with the generally accepted answer today.
Simply accelerating something in one direction (fire and forget) takes much less energy than continuously accelerating something.
He doesn't pick up a building, he buries his fist in a slab of concrete and accelerates it using the earth's rotational energy. That's three actions, both done only once. And the battery drains power in esper mode whether he's using it or not (probably because of auto-reflect). It drains at a more-or-less constant rate, and that rate is much more than what Accelerator can do to recharge it. That, or it cannot be recharged while using his power.
>Very generously" my ass
Read the novels:
>He quickly attached the transformer to the power cable and used a small cord to supply power to his electrode’s battery.
>(I can’t sit here recharging for very long. I’ll probably only get maybe a dozen seconds recharged.)
You can catch it yes, but besides that not really. I don't think many of the Level 5s besides Gunha could catch a ball flying at Mach 3 though regardless. One thing's for sure, Misaki's boned.
You haven't met Super Hamazura yet
>Insulting the Heaven-Sent Child Loved by Electrons
His taste is better than yours.
Birdway is the best girl and top tier character in general.
I don't understand the point anyways. In what situation will you be working with a linked list that may have loops in it? Any half decent programmer's linked list implementation would never allow for something like that to happen.
And their implementation would also probably track the number of items in the list so you don't have to recalculate it in log(n) time every time you want to know it. So you could just iterate through list items an amount of times equal to the length of the list and if you haven't yet reached the end then there's a loop.
Its funny how threads with accelerator goes directly to some high level science discussion, but if you put something like misaka or even Touman it diverges to waifu wars.
byouri kihara used darkmatter to turn into the nessie
"The proof is that you're increasingly unable to get rid of the #2. You continue to command the electric signals. However, the things created by the #2 still have his own presence. And then, this is just like a rejection in a transplant. Kihara Byouri's consciousness is being chased away by an artificial body. Is the limit 100 seconds? 500 seconds? I don't think it's that long. If I continue to kill you during this time, you still won't be able to do anything in the end even if you understand all sorts of danger, as you're still relying on the #2. As time goes by, you will wait on and crumble to a certain extent. After that, you will end up destroying yourself. Your so-called physical body may not be killed, but your spirit will be worn out."
"…Form change. Reference: Loch Ness."
She transformed. And,
Kihara Byouri's body was rumbling.
It looked like she was transforming into something big. As foreboding, all sorts of reassembly happened in her body.
Othinus is not an improvement. Birdway is already peak best.
Kamachi doesn't care about popularity. He just wanted to have a figure of his new waifu to complement the two arcs where she was a centric character.
> the one true best girl .
And you fucking know it.
she fits both past and present toumas strike zone.
We got to know more about Misaki's past, motivations and character, and she was the one who defeated Gensei. The arc was like, 60% about Misaki, 20% Mikoto and 20% of the other side characters. Even when she transformed with Exterior the fight with Gunha and Touma was mostly done off-screen.
>literally the only way Touma would pay attention to her
She still was the most prominent, explored and developed character in the arc, and also had the main fight against the end boss of the whole manga. Even Mitori was more centric to the story than Mikoto.
Most prominent in context just means she had more focus than Mikoto and Mikoto had the second most focus. It still is a shared arc between Mikoto and Misaki. Mikoto didn't fight the main big bad because she was the main subject of the experiment.
Misaki dealt with the big bad, which she had helped getting that far from Mikoto and the side characters, and Mikoto ultimately gets forced into becoming a Level 6, resulting in a fight with Gunha and Touma. The final part of the arc is Misaki getting her victory scene and Mikoto getting her heartwarming scene with Touma.
>Mitori was more centric to the story than Mikoto.
You're just trolling now.
Plebs all of you. The only girl Touma would choose as his gf.
Shiage was still a secondary character in vol.15. It wasn't until volume 19 that he was able to start becoming a protag. Accelerator and Shiage shared volume 19, and Accelerator was merely more prominent. Far as I know, Kamachi didn't say that only Accelerator was THE protagonist of volume 19. He said that the main story is Touma's story, but alludes that Accelerator and Shiage are the villain/hero of volume 19 by comparing them to how different they are to Touma.
Not really. Misaki is like a 2nd protag within Mikoto's story, just like Accelerator is in Touma's story. Daihaseisai arc had both the main protag and the 2nd protag (Misaki). It's a shared arc regardless.
>most badass girl
>barely high tier
>not best tier
Pre-fairy, post-NT9 Othinus was like Touma's soulmate.
>He will never smile and enjoy himself around a girl like this again
Laura is best magic girl.
Misaki is best science girl.
Presumably the same thing that would happen to anyone else who were suicidal.
I don't see it happening, though. The only who even remotely had the personality for it was WORST and she got over it.
>her power is to maintain constant temperature. that's why her insanely overclock PC never overheats.
Surprisingly practical. Now if only she could level that power up so that it doesn't have the prerequisite of touch. Then she could run her computers at absolute zero for perfect conductivity.
No, it was more than that. If I remember correctly 10031 was just something like, how many times he could remember, or how many itmes he actually fought Othinus as opposed to how many hopeless deaths.
>Indexfags still exist
It's like finding a dodo bird in New York or something
>>Othinus heard a noise come from her head that sounded like her very skeleton creaking.
It almost looked like small snakes were squirming on the inside of her face’s skin.
This was the pulse of her blood vessels.
(His rate of exhaustion should be greater.)
They had repeated this tens of thousands of times, hundreds of thousands of times, and even millions of times.
All so that puny boy would fail just once somewhere along the line.
And all that supposedly from the very beginning.
I'm curious about aging in Index.
How long time has passed by in Index world since the very first volume till the very recent one?
Do characters age? Was there any explicit reference of that?
i.e. birthday celebrations of characters, mentioning of character X being n+1 (or n+m) y.o. now, even maybe any loli characters growing up from being considerate loli anymore?
Series started in July and we're about to enter December.
As for characters growing up, maybe Index. She looks taller now than in the beginning.
Kamachi has even less sense of time than Othinus has of scale.
I bet it's because he decided to keep the girls in summer uniforms for the maximal possible number of books, and once he hit breakneck pace the series was stuck with it.
Does level 0 describe both people without any ability what so ever and those with very weak abilities?
If magicians would take the level test, would they be classified as level 0?
Does the very fact of having an ability (even extremely weak, such that it's classified as level 0) makes one magic-disabled?
What stops new people who just did the level test and found out that they don't have any ability (level 0) from learning magic, assuming they didn't take any Power Curriculum ( whatever >>118718435 meant by that)?
I can hardly differentiate between those 5 shades of red, except the "Railgun: Detailed one".
I started writing up an explanation, but then I figured it'd be easier to let Birdway do it.
Birday: "But magic is not that convenient. If you exclude certain exceptions, magic essentially exists to allow those without talent to catch up to those with talent. Simply put, the incompetent use it to supplement what they cannot do properly on their own."
Hamazura: (Then even someone as untalented as me me might - )
Index: "But you all mustn’t use magic."
Birdway: "Weren’t you listening? Magic is a technique created to allow those without talent to catch up to those with talent. It’s an issue of the format. It was not created for people who have talent in the first place. If you force yourself to use it, it would put a massive burden on your blood vessels and nerves."
Touma: "By the way, even if you’re a Level 0, you still had the inside of your head messed with by Academy City’s tech. Due to that, I can’t use magic either. …The same most likely goes for those in Skill-Out."
The thread is decent, but we have reached the bump limit and are at the very end of the 10th page already, so we will get purged very soon.
(I'm sorry if I'm pointing out very obvious things).
