Untrue. The Joshiraku anime sold more than 4,000 copies. Which isn't a huge hit but it isn't a flop by any means.

It had its share of troubles, but I'm sad we'll never see a S2 for Stellvia.

Yeah Shima was a cryingbaby, but I just enjoyed that it was an optimistic look at the future for humanity when facing an extinction-level event, rather than the usual misery and worst-of-humanity plots.

So seeing more of the universe fleshed out would have been nice IMHO.
