Let's have a HxH thread.
And discuss why Gon is a shit friend.
I was just about to make one.
We can all agree that Gon is a shit friend, but a fascinating character, right? Even though he threatened an innocent woman(Komugi), and killed a child(Pitou).
Remember. Pitou could've revived Kite but she didn't because she received a call that they had Komugi back when it wasn't true. Even though Kite revived as a little girl, if Pitou didn't receive the call, Kite would be back as before
Pitou thought Gon was asking her to heal an injured person. She had no Kite was the person she killed and turned into a puppet. Her powers can't be used to bring back the dead.
I posted this yesterday and will keep posting till it becomes true:-
He is going to be a villain soon,
>Togashi will give him some hax power,
>he'll lose his mind because of the power
>Kill Alluka or some one close to him
>Behold the evil Gon.
And yes he was the biggest jerk in CA arc, but his selfishness is what makes him different from other shonen leads or even from characters in HxH
Also he perfectly contrasts Killua who despite being from a fucked up family was the light in CA arc, the best human and friend.
>but his selfishness is what makes him different from other shonen leads
But aren't characters like Luffy and Goku completely self-centered to the point they're incapable of empathy?
>Don't watch nerd shit
>On an anime image board
Not going to call you retarded, but thinking doesn't appear to come naturally to you.
>we will never know what his last weapon was
>we will never see his relationship with Ging and Gon
>we will never know his past
>we will never see his future
>all this was severed away
>because he was murdered by pitou
Nigga, an ant lifespan is, at best, 6 months. She's technically older than him.
I couldn't agree more.
Killua is gay for Gon, but I'm pretty sure he will marry a girl just to have children and keep his lineage. As for Gon, he seems straight, he has dated several girls.
Friendly reminder Gon was a good friend and people are just ass blasted about Killua's hurt feelings.
>saves friend from dangerous family despite barely even knowing him
>placed life on line just to meet Killua
>only became selfish when his decisions were clouded with his emotions during ant arc
>wanted to (and eventually did) apologize to Killua right after waking up
>B-but Killua's hurt feelings!!
I don't even understand why Killua was hurt over.
I mean Gon was kind of being a lone wolf and didn't really share his problems with Killua and acted like they weren't a team but that's no reason to act betrayed. Guy just needed some space.
Gon was a shit friend from the start.
Even during the Greed Island arc, you have Gon abusing him to hold the fucking ball, KNOWING that Killua is literally suffering because of it. He just didn't give a fuck and wanted to win.
I'm sorry did I miss some preachy life lesson about ants not needing to look like ants? Meruem looked like a freak so his sister has to at least look similar.
And nobody sensed special aura off of her as far as I remember feel free to post a page that contradicts me and I'll admit I'm wrong.
Because he wanted to defeat Pitou with his BFF 4ever but Gon wanted to take revenge on her alone so he got all emo. If they actually took her/him on together Killua would probably die and Killuafags would be whining about how Gon didn't protect him or some shit like that.
Also, Killua IS at fault because he doesn't openly express his feelings and he knows Gon is the type of person who takes his words on a surface level. Kek
>from the start
Did you sleep through the first few arcs with your eyes closed?
Just more Hisoka in general is enough for me.
Oh shit my bad for missing this minute detail who on the manga is probably even harder to see. Meanwhile this is supposed to be a twin sister to the fucking green frog man that is Meruem?
I guess right about now is the point you'd move the goalpost and say they're just regular siblings instead of twins?
Again there was no indication that she had some monster level aura.
I'm not even going to bring up the fact that it would make no sense for there to be more than a single king
She was literally born from the same womb as Mereum. You can pretend all you want but she's ant royalty.
She's a some trashy afterbirth, probably far weaker than a royal guard. All that nutrition went towards making Meruem to the point where the queen didn't even know she existed.
She literally gave birth to her and died without even having her register on her consciousness.
The only thing that makes her more 'royal' is that chronologically she was born later than other ants. She's just the youngest worker ant.
The Queen has a God given right to rule.
Maybe it secured his memories, rather than just a random chance that he'd keep them like the other ants.
I dunno, I'd really love an explanation as to what the mace did.
i would get all into it, and then it would close up on her face, and i have to look away, the king shoulod have done something about that he should have blown her nose for her romanticly
Yeah but it was entirely unnecessary, the queen eating Kite's brain was a perfectly fine explanation. Then Togashi came out of nowhere with this pointless power that had no foreshadowing whatsoever.
HxH, as a whole, takes a lot of elements from DBZ.
Everyone would be gay if Togashi was the one deciding what goes on in your brain.
Togashi, being so charmed by the male figure, can't possibly imagine why anyone else wouldn't.
In every HxH thread, someone always has to bring up Gon and Killua's sexuality. They are close friends, godammit.
>the things they say
>the stare they do to each other
They are friends, for god's sake. They care about each other like they are brothers. Jesus Christ... No wonder everyone on 4chan thinks /a/ is autistic....
You're right, they are friends.
Killua is pretty gay though, in the ways he acts and the things he says. It's obvious that he wants Gon to be more than a friend. Just look at how he acts when Palm is demanding a date from Gon.
Gon's totally oblivious though, and also totally straight.
who is alluka?
i dont read things because im not a virgin faggot like you
i havent watched any movies i just started the chimera ants season
That's the best part about Togashi's manga, Also his stories cater to everyone Shonen fans, Seinen fan, boys, girls, men, women and even fujoshi i.e. a huge manga reading audience.
His manga print money for jump.
then you aren't as close as you thought you were.
also Killua never had a friend until Gon came along.
nah, people nowadays think that anyone who looks at someone a certain way has to feel a certain way, which is not true at all and based solely on perception
>implying togashi doesn't bait the fujoshi dollars
Nope. He loves degeneracy I mean gay people.
His favorite character in YYH was an evil degenerate faggot that seduced and manipulated an innocent schoolboy to become his evil gay lover.
People with no friends shouldn't be calling others who do have friends to be shit friends.
Yes tumblr and/or /pol/ that's how it works.
killua decides only way to save gon is to make condition that he may never use nen again to completly heal gon, if he uses it then gon dies, parents want him to use nen but he says no, an heros for gon
Just like urmums vagina after I fucked her.
i can write fine twerp
yea i use the HxH wiki, so fricking what?
i know the granpa dies and piluea dies but no clue what sukima is lol
thankyou but your care isnt needed
epic fake spoilers /b/ros! xD
Togashi should stop HxH totally and work on to resurrect YuYu Hakusho.
>full-fledged yandere for gon
Palm became too. But she was already yandere to begin with. Also Pouf is yandere for the King and Machi is pretty yandere for Quwrof.
Illumi is a bro yandere for Killua.
And Kalluto might also be yandere for Killua.
Lot of yanderes in this series.
No. On pure writing ability, HxH is Togashi's best work. But the story arcs as whole suck. Because of his writing, Togashi can make a stupid idea like being in a "video game" and make it entertaining.
Even Gon is easier to sympathize with than with Killua. He only goes from edgy mode to sad mode and vice versa
Who would make such a silly mistake?
Everytike he "switches on" his shitty assassin mode his edge goes up by 20%
True, the only friend I've looked at like that I was 100% full homo for. They're super gay. And I do think it's mutual; just because Gon doesn't go full angst doesn't mean he doesn't feel it. Remember "The most important person to Gon is you"? And the Greed Island dodgeball thing, where Gon basically says Killua is the only person he can completely trust.
He was only happy because he wanted to kill the people who imprisoned him, you must understand his feelings.
Why is HxH the only long running battle manga adaptation that gets lighting right?
>And the Greed Island dodgeball thing, where Gon basically says Killua is the only person he can completely trust.
that was just some bullshit
gon was abusing killua and didn't give a shit
>the Gon-san form is one of the most absolute strongest nen (probably second only to Netero's 99th hand) to ever make it in the HxH universe
>Gon loses his arm
Gon was never edgy, only angry. Also, watching a super happy character is way more interesting than watching an edgy "assassin" kill off people whenever he switches his switch on. Every time I watched Killua defeat an enemy when he "switches on", it felt like an asspull.
Especially that one time he managed to pull out Illumi's needle and kill the enemy.
I'll be honest I liked that moment a lot but I might be biased because I way to flay Illumi Zoldyck and eat his organs. But I wouldn't qualify it as edgy.
Him refusing to tell Gon about it however...
Vs. the Ryodai it is. Also one question, can the ability be forgotten after he finishes his revenge and convert it into one which can be used against anyone? There was that ant whose ability was to train new abilities IIRC.
The show picks up as soon as the hunter exam starts, which is pretty early.
Series is certainly worth watching all the way, though.
If you don't mind watching Kurapika solo Spiders for an arc
I remember reading the manga and there were chapters of a Kurapika arc when he was still a kid and on the first chapter of the arc, if I remember correctly, it said the Kurapika arc was for a movie they did. But I checked on it and Phantom rough and the last mission are the only HxH movie listed. Could it be that it wasn't turned into anime movie?
I believe Gon loves Killua, he's just too naive and retarded to understand it.
>not a she
>ignores every single thing killua had endured up to that point
>"You have it easy. Also, can you go away? This is my fight"
>people don't say hurtful things when they're really angry
>people can't make ANY mistakes whatsoever in relationships
>these mistakes can NEVER be forgiven, everything is permanent
Gon was just plain cruel to someone that he's never shown real affection for. Appreciation, maybe a bit.
You can't just apologize after something like that and expect it to go away. Killua only stuck around after that because he's already attached and doesn't know anyone that treats him better.
Pretty sure Gon is the pitcher and Killua is the catcher.
Of course I have also seen /a/ spend 400 posts discussing who would be on top and bottom, and they had some convincing arguments.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure he suffered because he cried a few times over Gon. If anything, Gon has suffered way more than him (if you're not comparing their childhoods). If you think he's suffered in the chimera arc, you clearly have been mistaken. It's his own damn fault for suffering anyway.
I was considering childhood and upbringing as well.
Even if not, Gon puts Killua through all types of shit and rarely apologizes for it. So Killua keeps going, because he can take it.
Look at all the times Killua stopped Gon from doing something stupid, or cared for him while he was out cold because of how stubborn he is. How much appreciation did Killua get from that?
Gon didn't plan out Kite's death. Killua, on the other hand, was the one who wrapped up all his feelings under so many layers and didn't tell Gon anything that happened to him AND ass blasted fans like you get angry because Gon doesn't get any of his feelings despite the show having illustrated that Gon is a naive child who sees things on surface level. If Killua had even paused to share his feelings with Gon, he wouldn't be bawling every time Gon didn't stick to his side 24/7.
>Gon puts Killua through all types of shit and rarely apologizes for it
oh wow what a sissy
you realize the two are fucking child soldiers who see violence as part of everyday life?
do you need to apologize to a soldier when he gets a boo boo? it's just part of the adventures, they're chill about it.
This. It's part of why I can't see him as straight, I just have no idea why he'd even care.
It was, but Phantom Rogue a shit, so...
Fucking. This. Killua drives me nuts throughout the entirety of Chimera Ants because he just refuses to talk about anything that's bothering him. Like he knows Gon well enough to know that he's not going to just magically figure this shit out, and Gon actually asks him what's up after the fight where he got rid of Illumi's needle and he's just like "Nah everything's fine". NO. EVERYTHING IS NOT FINE.
>yes I'm mad
Did we both see the Greed Island Arc?
You remember that time where Gon knew Killua was suffering while holding the ball, and didn't care even a little bit?
Killua was even trying to hide it, but Gon already knew and STILL LET IT HAPPEN.
Yeah, I'm picking out one example, but it's a pretty big fucking example.
yeah yeah it might sting a bit to see they aren't reluctant to do it but in the end wouldn't you want to volunteer to do it? or would you rather put your feelings ahead of everyone's effort instead of sucking it up and getting shit done?
killua knew he had to do it and gon simply accepted his wishes.
I just want them to hold hands. They can fuck when they're older.
Why didn't they just drop one of those bombs that was inside netero on the ants from a plane or something?
The queen doesn't make more soldiers once she prepares for the king and it's guards, as far as we know. Based on the information given to us, Kite is most logically a royal guard type, as that's the only thing (that we know for a fact) to be born after a king.
Of course Togashi doesn't have to stick to this outline at all, Kite /could/ just be a drudge, but that conclusion doesn't match with what we know about the ants reproduction cycle.
