What they kept are very general ideas, like Gaz getting revived, or Gillette coming back, or Toru making a contract. They also more or less kept the same character names (except for Black Chaika). They kept the location (Hartgen's Principality, Goeranson castle).

I really wish we got more time with season 2. Season 1 was so promising and struck a decent balance with world building, character moments, and plot development. I really hope the LN gets a proper translation cuz I got a fever, and the only prescription is more Chaika.

I know that, but 90% of them was filler. And even the events that happened like Red and Viivi's encounter with Guy were altered a bit. So nope, no secondary here.

Can't wait for those Vol XI illustrations when Chaika and Niva defeat Gaz and also with the white dress later in the epilogue
