What. The. Fuck.
Oh shit nigger what are you doing
So wait, Takahiro wrote this? Seriously? Are we talking the AgK/Majikoi Takahiro?
Why didn't you protect their smiles, /a/?
I'm sure everything will be fine and Christmas won't be ruined.
>inb4 Yuuna goes full yuushas on Togo and convinced her that the hero club isn't about to pussy out against the face of annihilator of the world and is out to win
>mfw Symphogear Season 2-tier final battle with Sonoko joining in
>mfw the club struck a blow so hard it wiped entire virus outside the field
>during the battle Yuuna mankai'd so many time she literally become the new Shinju-sama herself
Can tougou save mado, i mean, yuki yuna?
Yes, basically. Life as a cripple who must forever continue to fight and give up more and more of her own bodily functions each time is ultimate suffering. Might as well just let it all end. It's sure as hell not sustainable anyway; Yuuki Yuuna is the strongest Yuusha, everyone else failed to even kill anything.
Is everything going to daijoubu?
Also what the fuck is with the new 4chan? It broke my quick reply for 4chanx. what a pain in the ass.
Yup. And I wouldn't say she's entirely wrong, even if the Hero Club completes their entire stint as heroes without letting the world explode, someone will fail eventually just by the fact that the Vertex have limitless forces to hurl into the fight and one of these days the limited human population will randomly end up with a competent hero shortage.
Of course, this boils down to "a meteor will destroy earth in 100 years, so let's just blow it all the fuck up now to save everyone the trouble of dying later", which is pretty shaky logic, but I can see how she reached the conclusion.
I think it's sooner than that. Yuuki Yuuna is their strongest Yuusha, so who knows if they can even come up with someone new who even compared within the next 10 or 15 years.
Yuuna's sure as hell not going to give them a Yuusha daughter either. No time for love in a constant war.
And also Togo of course.
Actually, not really. It seems situation is rapidly worsening.
1) Shinju-sama was protecting the earth for 298 years but couldn't do it "globally" any longer and had to invent a specialized Yuusha system which is more efficient.
2) Vertex started getting more fierce recently.
Might be both. The fact is, their near future looks terrible and there's nothing to make you think it would get better. See, there was two years break between Washio and Yuuna. Vertex were only chased off back then. Now they were utterly destroyed. Despite that, they have already mostly regenerated and there are billions of the mouth ones. Even if they continued to fight as Yuush it's likely they would be getting Forrestize warnings in decreasing time spans, to the point where they have no time to rest and it looks like such crisis might happen in a matter of days, weeks at best.
Watching the first scene again, I can't shake the feeling humans actually did something to make the gods mad at them.
Wait a minute, this isn't really a slice of life, is it?
This is all Sonoko's plan, isn't it?
This is all reminding me of Diebuster. The 'enemies' were actually gunbuster that they put in their solar system to protect earth from the true space monsters, but something went wrong.
>Expecting the world outside the barrier to be ruined cities or something
>It's actually Hell
>Also there's limitless Vertexes so they'll never be stopped
I really don't see how we can get a happy ending out of this or how they'll save the world. The only thing I can come up with is that the Hero Club combine their powers and life force to become the new Shinju-sama and cleanse the outside world so that Earth may start anew. Or something. Of course, that means our heroes will die, but hey, at least humanity wouldn't be living in the center of Hell anymore and the remaining heroes won't have to suffer.
Quite likely. Notice that while she was speaking positively of Taisha, she has never tried to correct Tougou even though it was clear that Tougou feels very negative about them. I'm starting to think she fully agrees with Tougou but doesn't want to make Taisha notice this.
I think it was more "I know what you are planning to do and I want you to do it" but don't want to reval my true intentions so openly.
what 20 things she could have lost? she can hear, she can see with one eye, speak, has one hand that I've seen.
so...memories, one eye, one ear, part of the face(?), mobility in one hand, leg, other leg, other hand, hair, one kidney, one lung, ovaries, ...?
I only concentrated on the writer. I didn't think Takahiro would produce results especially after the Mankai fight.
I forgot who was directing YuYuYu.
Last year a certain series about cgi battle ships turned from somewhat serious into nothing but suffering and death in it's 10th episode.
This episode aired on the 11.12.2013 and Arpeggio ended on the 23th of december that year.
Screw you Seiji Kishi and your all-fucking-hell-goes-down-in-the-last-3-episodes policy. I should have seen this coming.
This has the same director as Arpeggio?
What a terrifying combination.
I don't like how this is looking
I'm only going to declare it as Anime of the Anything if the ending delivers. Currently its seeming to set up for something pretty good instead of your usual bad-guys-were-good-guys reversal climax and then a bullshit-everything's-fine-again ending.
Yes. All shit goes down in the last 3 episodes with him, every fucking time. He also did the series composition for School Days.
The funny thing is it has been exactly one year since Arpeggio turned depressing with just one day difference for the final episode.
Just search the archives for yuuki, yuuna, yuusha or any combination. Typically YYY threads have Yuuki Yuuna in the subject.
We need episodes 11 and 12 to be 3000 replies worthy.
>not punch them into UNDERSTANDING
>I have it as 10/10 since day one.
Okay, even bigger what the fuck? This is literal shit taste. The show didn't even start getting good until about half way through.
If you had it as 10/10 from the first episode, you have objectively shit taste.
>mfw Christmas is ruined by multiple shows this year
This fucking episode.
No, show was perfect since the very beginning. There was no flow. Just the worry it will go to shit soon, thankfully it didn't and kept delivering. Please tell me what was wrong with earlier episodes.
Eps 1+2 were fuckign amazing.
It was absolutely masterful how they handled Karin's tsun. So was the battle in ep5 and the foundation in 6-8 for what's been happening now.
You are the one with shit taste. Dirty pleb who only cares about suffering.
Being an original the ending could fuck it up to no end. However really, if you ignore everything after episode 7 and pretend they recovered after it this is at least a good cute girls doing cute things
There is literally no point in posting what I think is AOTS, since no matter what I say will get 'lol shit taste' or something like that.
But there are multiple shows better than this one this season, that's for sure. I don't see how anyone could have this as their AOTS unless they are watching like 3 shows. Sure, 'opinions', but this is far from AOTS worthy, it's barely better than the average shit show that airs every season.
Okada's going to help ruin Christmas somehow, either by giving the damn show a BRS ending or something.
I can feel it in my bones.
>There is literally no point in posting what I think is AOTS, since no matter what I say will get 'lol shit taste' or something like that.
>But there are multiple shows better than this one this season, that's for sure.
Alright, you've had your fun.
>'lol shit taste'
that's pretty ironic because that's essentially what you're doing right now. Pretty much just "this show is shit and you have shit taste", so basically the posts you are trying to avoid are about as worthless as the posts you are making.
It archives when the thread dies, posts are irrelevant.
They're not evil, they're just assholes. Can you really blame people for hating them? They're not exactly the most honest people around. And yes omission is pretty much just lying.
See >>118212591 for speculation. Maybe gods needed time to notice Shinju is getting weaker. Or maybe they wanted to prepare better after they were chased of at first. It's quite possible that their technology of producing Vertex advanced just like the Yuusha System.
They had the courage to become an hero.
To take that shot and leave us all behind.
They said explicitly in the episode that they stopped being able to sustain the Yuusha system with just the Taisha family, and that's why they started giving people aptitude tests. Pay attention.
I like it when anime has morally conflicting choices, it's a rare sight. Usually you just have that bad guy who is responsible for everything bad
>not IS fire
Seriously though, someone make a new image with itsuki holding up a sign saying EVERYTHING IS FIRE with the ether world as a backdrop
>not worshipping Karin
Amagi Brilliant Park
Garo: Honoo no Kokuin
Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works (TV)
Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso
Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis
Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu
literally all these shows are better than this shit. not to say they are all aots worthy, because they aren't. but they're definitely better than this.
Sonoko had to mankai 21 times and she never killed a single vertex.
The yuusha-bu had to mankai 4 times to defeat 12.5 vertexes.
Now they are up against billions and billions of vertex, and one of their team members is the one who released them inside the barrier.
Even if these are weaker, they are rebuilding the strong ones outside. Assuming a rate of 1 mankai every 3 vertex approximately, they are utterly and absolutely fucked.
And even if they win, the reward they get is total locked-in syndrome they can never escape from and getting locked inside a creepy as hell chamber with no contact other than with spooky masked zealots.
TOUGOU DID NOTHING WRONG. The shinju needs to be taken down.
All the offering talk reminded me of this scene
It did great for having only 8 episodes, wish they would have given it at least 10.
Again, I liked it, I don't see whats's dumb about it, the whole show had the fighting emotions metaphor way before gay friendship cannon appeared.
>this is the madoka ripoff fanbase
4/10 I replied
Remember how they defeated the Vertex and took away their phones to let them vacation a bit? Same general idea. Togo was decommissioned for a while to deal with her new injuries but still placed next to the best Yuusha candidates.
>Amagi Brilliant Park
yeah, because i totally want to waste my time typing them all out just for you faggots
get over yourselves. if you want to talk about how amazing your show us, go to mal, i'm sure there is plenty of places there where you can jack each other off about how deep and epic togo was this episode
So, let me understand this.
The Taisha (Gaia) setup a force field (Reality Marble) trying to stop Vertex (ORT) from destroying the world.
Like that? But why Togo said something about a universe? The world the Taisha created is not Earth-sized?
>I hope this will be as good as KiniMosa
I feel sorry for him.
Just how bad did humanity fuck up that the Gods who sided with it are so few/weak?
When I see a crippled girl, something on my body is turning into a log too and I don't complain.
It's K. I got this.
Will Itsuki be able to sing again on Christmas?
>trolls are people who have different opinions than me
Yuuki Yuuna, my future wife, will save everyone.
Everything will be daijobu.
No, so far it appears to just be this island
They tried to roll away but they were eaten, thus delaying the now oversaturated Vertices for several years.
>the portrayal of the humanity of the sisters is almost perfect.
I want to hear your honest opinions
No, but that's because I'm a Fate-fag who'd gobble up pretty much anything from the franchise
This is slowly becoming #2 though, could have potential to surpass if the ending is really good
I have been watching this and thought it was extremely average, and in many respects it is. But these last few episodes have been really good, and the twist this episode was amazing. The subtle feelings this show gives like the anticipation of impending doom is great. If the ending pulls through I'll probably give it a 9/10
Is it just me or is this show surprisingly well written? If it wasn't for the suffering I wouldn't believe that Takahiro wrote this.
Keep going, this is too entertaining.
>I lost two years and my body in the blink of an eye, and the Taisha just fucking watched. Tomorrow there will be no shortage of sacrifices, no shortage of heroes. I know you understand.
What's so hard to understand about japan gods saving the most they could handle with the numbers they had? They explain it as in every single god except a few went against humanity and killed everyone except the little bit the "Good Gods" could protect with their barrier.
Its really oddly nicely written, I mean its not groundbreaking but it is good, which is impressive considering the mess that AgK was.
The twists though where predictable, the director and the writer are good on that aspect and know how to make us wait for more
The writing is really well done. But not only that. The direction, the VA work, the set up, even the multipronged, transmedia delivery via LN, VN game, 4-koma, etc.
I think it would be a shame if the last 2 episodes didn't knock it out of the park, because so far, this show has been top tier.
>Madoka was 10/10 from the start
Nobody gave a shit about Madoka until ep3 were "le epic suffering" started.
They only shit everybody cared about was Kajiura's shit OST and "urobuchi will eventually deliver". Madoka was the definition of hype, even if it wasn't that good.
On the other hand, YuYuYu didn't have any fucking hype, it was just there, nobody gave a fuck, so I'm glad it's doing well now on its own. Fuck the Aniplex merchandising machine.
Nope, I was saying it is inspired by Madoka but there's nothing wrong with it and I would rather focus on talking about YuYuYu instead of comparing it to other stuff. But yes, I was here since the very first thread.
I get really mixed feelings about it, I like it but can't stop wondering if it'd have been better if it was more spread out and not kept everything to the last episodes, like how we only got their backstory now, feels like it should have been earlier but at the same time I feel like it's perfect this way.
Google translate says conflict hype, so this is supposed to mean a show getting a lot more interest from fans because it took a dramatic or brutal turn? If such a word were invented on 4chan, it would take about two minutes for the trolls in here to append "shit" to it and start spamming threads with the term randomly.
Thank you. I've been waiting for this.
I only watch ep 3,10,11,12 and rebellion for the maximum enjoyment
I can see the ending.
I like the way they did it since it allowed the show to have more surprises. The strategy of aiming for the 3 episode test has been done, so this became more wide open and flexible after diverging from that path. There's a cost in that you have to watch the whole thing to appreciate it, but you can't have your mankai and keep your body parts too.
While we're at it why don't we all just learn Moon and type it in Japanese as it was intended. Fucking weeblords.
I think you mean Hero Kick™ them.
Just kidding, the Demon King is clearly Taisha. Which means we'll get a Genki Dama ending.
Indeed, I did feel like this show dropped the ball with the big fight since I barely cared for Yuuna or Tougou and their injuries almost felt predictable and the daijoubu vibe was there but these recent episode have shed new light on those previous episodes and it's obvious it was all just a ruse, a well done one.
I forget everytime Madoka was also advertised as a cute mahou shoujo show, heck, Yuyuyu and Madoka's PV are awfully similar but this show managed to get me to drop my guard.
NOW I'VE LOST IT
>Is this actually good?
THE TRUTH EXISTS BEYOND THE GATE
I know how this will end.
Need a version with Togo now.
How will Sonoko even fight? Summon a giant mecha to ride in?
Not only you have missed the threads but you have also missed the suffocating venom-like uncertainty of the early episodes, where we knew one day shit would hit, but we didn't knew how and when
>I hope this will be as good as KiniMosa
>Honestly you could make a poll like this in 70% of threads for shows airing this season and get similar results.
>implying I haven't already been doing that
>implying it's ever actually happened
One thing that sucks here is Fuu and Itsuki just had a really emotional moment here and they're immediately thrust into hell. Talk about shitty.
I'm going in fresh.
I know nothing about besides that everything will be fire.
Getting outta the thread right now.
Damn, I need to catch up with Chaika, too. I sure am late.
>hopefully they don't fuck up the ending.
Even if they do, it'll still easily be one of my favorites, considering how good the first 10 were.
godamn this whole episode. I'm still not over it.
the way they used silence, just fucking silence, and hearing her sister's voice when she knows she will never hear it again.
I didn't know feels came in jumbo size.
Levitation, beamspam, funnels.
We're going to need a Hero. We're going to need Yuki Yuna.
>instead of some asspull the size of the sun.
It's just Niva being bro and picking stuff for final shot.
Now that I think of it, Niva probably picked bad memories because they contained most magical fuel, Gaz did say that bad memories make most fuel.
Please tell me we have wallpapers for this show.
Sonoko is the true hero.
She knew about the truth and she still fought.
Maybe. This year hasn't been too strong and I think I'll count KimiUso as part of 2015 so depending on how Garo and Bahamut ends, this might be my AOTY if the last two episodes are good
How sick will your stomach feel when you watch Yuuki Yuuna kicking Vertex and God ass like there's no tomorrow and going through mankai after mankai after mankai?
And yet she also egged Tougou on, knowing what her reaction would be. What is she planning?
