609 - he dies just like a Black!
Or not, because the Black is Almighty
This was pure BS on Kubo's part, every character of his explains their power, so Nazi jesus is unbeatable until we see another ridiculous asspull?
At Least Togashi in HxH uses narrator rather than everyone explaining their powers...
>His Majesty knows everything and every power therefore he can't lose to anyone
Oh my sweet merciful God, please let this shit end already so I can finally be free from this curse every damn week.
Who even am I supposed to be rooting for? I dont like either of these characters. The Monk guy was only somewhat recently introduced, but im supposed to care about him? Yawatcha is the main antagonist of this arc, but am I supposed to be hoping he beats the Monk? I dont know where Kubo is going with any of this.
I couldn't help but laugh at how shit this chapter was. Like, wow. It was so fucking bad. And it ended with the classic 'I'm behind you kid and now I use some attack that hurts you badly that for some reason you couldn't dodge. NUTHING PERSONEL KID"
I don't think he even cares anymore, he might be just as fed up with this series as we do.
>ywacth is the almighty which allows him to nullify any ability that is explained to him
>everyone does that shit in bleach
>kubo is fully aware of this and is laughing at all of us
>Because I know what your power is I can tank it all like nothing happened, because...err...quincy magic!
Yeaaaaah. Kubo could at least think of some gimmick that 'THE A' could use to counter since he knew beforehand what the power was. Instead we got this 'LOL it didn't work because"
What the fuck am I reading, I don't even oh shit my sides hurt
I think I'm gonna vomit
He just wanted to write a manga about Zombies and world building, but no one liked it. He saw the easiest way to make the manga money is by selling power level bullshit. Its just gone on so long that even Kubo is tired of it. He wants to keep eating, so hes padding this shit out, but...
>I've now defeated the quincy lord
>I can now calmly turn around and walk back
>Oh no, he's still alive
There's a limit to how many times this should be used and Bleach is way above it. Kubo just threw everything away, he did the last couple of chapters, fuck you.
And Yhwach is the allmächtig, of course.
Actually... Every shonen protagonist explains his powers, all the time.
Yhwach isn't a bleach antagonist, he the ultimate shonen antagonist. he cannot loose against anyone.
well, to be fair, most attacks are eithe not that hard to figure out without an explenation or it is so conplicated that it would waste time to show how everyone is trying to figure out the special power of the oppenent.
>Named himself as YHWH
>Gives angel forms to all his minions
>Associated with Light and Darkness. Alpha and Omega
>Not having a power that suits one who pretends to be God
I don't get what's so surprising.
Why in the fuck would he even do that? If youre some big bad, why would you give some OP power to some new guy?
Maybe he was weaker, maybe Young Yama was even more OP than Monk and BTFO'd him
Because Ishida can't do shit to him now that he has drunk Ywach's blood. Him, and all the SR for that matter, are completely Ywach's bitches and he can decide at will if they live or die.
The worst part about this fight is he isn't using a single one of the powers he stole.
Kubo what was the fucking point of him being overpowered if it isn't because he can utilize multiple powers at once?
> automatically counters all abilities he is aware of what they do
GIN CONFIRMED ALIVE
;_; He was saved by the soul king
So this is just confirming that aizen is going to be on the "good" side at least for a short while and bach won't be able to recognize his abilities since he is already under the hypnosis
> Uryuu also has 'A' and he knows aizens abilities so he nullifies them and makes the save for Bach ( by his own accord or not )
>Yfw Aizen predicted that Bach can see through everything and countered accordingly
In fact, he already has. Since Aizen's illusions worked on him before, I'm assuming that Bach only reaches "God mode" when he activates his letter power. Ichibei was kicking his ass, after all.
That's something of a mistranslation, Panda are horrible at translating explanations so that they make sense.
Yhwach's power is being immune to all powers he "sees" (understands). So long as he knows what's happening, he is immune to it.
Kubo is being self-aware and going all meta about the verbal incontinence of characters when it comes to explaining their own powers.
Explaining your power to Yhwach explicitly makes him immune to it.
>monk jobbed for 5 whole chapters
Luders Friegen, are you perhaps a prophet?
Unless...it's against those who don't have any special magic abilities with their powers and are all about hand-to-hand combat.
WHICH IS WHY KENPACHI AND ICHIGO ARE SPECIAL WAR POTENTIALS BECAUSE THAT IS ALL THEY FUCKING DO! (and Aizen since if we cut away the hypnosis, he still has insane physical strength)
I'm probably not even that far off from the truth.
So does this mean Ishida can do the same since he's also A? Wait, can Ishida literally break Aizen's hypnosis because of this? IS ISHIDA > AIZEN!?!?
He can't decide with Ishida, he survived Auswahlen already. Ywach says that's why he's the successor, because he has a power beyond Ywach's. Haschwald believes it's so Ishida is visible to all the Quincy, so he's pretty much in a viper pit. It's probably a bit of both, and Ywach wants Ishida to become indoctrinated or some shit like that.
>Yhwach's power is being immune to all powers he "sees" (understands). So long as he knows what's happening, he is immune to it.
So what the fuck, why can't everyone in this series just not tell him their fucking powers? Why does every, fucking, shinigami need to explain their zanpakuto instead of just killing niggas? How can Ichigo win this fight if his power is literally just stabby stabby Getsuga tenshou? Will Stabby stabby Getsuga Tenshou + Quincy Juice be too much for Yhwach to "see"?
>yhwh's inner monologue throughout the fight
>'ho boy he better explain his powers soon or I might be bon- oh there he goes I'll just stay quiet - ............... - oh shit wait he's stopping I have to prompt him to continue *cough* WHAT?! -- yeah that's it your pen does what?'
Names of things are their power
I'm going to take away ur name then give you a shitty one lel then crush u
Sorry ur powers don't work on me
Something to do with my other name which u didn't know about
So I win this fight
It all makes sense, I know it
That would redeem this shitfest.
Since we know Quincy are basically Jews (their leader being YHWH, which is literally name of the Jewish God), did anyone liken the Quincy massacre from 200 years ago to the massacre of Jews during the World War 2 yet?
>the power to rename everything
What would you rename anon ?
I would rename Naruto to Lee.
>So what the fuck, why can't everyone in this series just not tell him their fucking powers?
If Kubo wants to go Medaka Box-tier with this he could write a reason into the story.
Maybe the Soul King has a power that gives everyone in the world a nearly irresistible compulsion to explain their powers. Because of reasons.
Will there be a Yhwach Vs. Soul King fight? Will the Soul King be a TRUE BEAST? Or will Yhwach bullshit that battle too?
But then again, Ichigo should be able to win easy since he never explains his powers.
It was Aizen's Bankai. I don't think we've ever seen proof that Aizen's hypnosis can affect sense of time.
We've only seen 1:1 timescale so it makes sense that Bankai covers this weakness.
Explaining powers is just something writers do. Its just that japanese mangakas are quite bad at it, or think their audience has the intelligence of a potato.
The explanation is merely for the sake of us the readers. It's not that the characters are stupid, they explain it for us so that we understand what is going on. It's especially common in manga and anime. You know, the usual side character explaining what is going on.
It's just "bad writing". But with only barely 17 pages a week, i understand the mangakas trying to put in explanations in ways that dont take too much time.
Now it's easily understandable why Ichigo, Aizen and Kenpachi were dubbed as Special War Potentiais. They have very high potential (maybe even limitless in the case of Ichigo and Aizen), so Yhwach can't get full knowledge on their power and abilities, which would be trouble for him. They would be the only people able to affect him in any way.
That being said, I guess this would mean Ishida is a SWP too.
>manga where everyone explains their powers
>MC is the only one who doesnt and beats all the "trained for 1000 years" guys
>they are all shocked
>MC tries to tell them not to explain their powers
>they can't wrap their head around the concept
Last time someone didn't explain her bankai, we became absolutely and thoroughly confused. So no wonder he feels the need of explaining the powers of his characters.
The best way he did this was Shunsui vs Starkk and it's kinda baffling to me he hasn't done it again. That's one of the best fights because of how genuine it felt.
I actually think the way it works is that once he sees/understands the power. He can give himself a new power perfectly designed to counter it.
Like he understands "Ink of removing and giving names"
So he'll give himself "Name" - name can't be removed
it's weakness will be it can only work additively meaning if he would need to remove something to defeat the power he can't
In HxH the narrator is usually the only one that explains things, so the characters don't know shit til they figure it out themselves
The only time I can think of this not being the case are:
> Gon vs Clownfag
Gon was only told because clownfag has a boner for him and wants him to fight as well as he can against him
> Bomber in the vidyagaems arc
The guy was basically a parody of egotistical asswipes so this is kind of expected
>or think their audience has the intelligence of a potato
Or they write for the Weekly Shonen Jump. You know, the magazine aimed at boys 6-14.
The one adult men on /a/ also read and sperg out over problems with the works.
good god I'm no better than a brony I need a drink what have I done with my life
Because he can't. If he at least used some ceros or something he could explain he has hollow powers but other than that he just moves fast and hits hard, and has a blade beam. Not a lot of elaboration needed there
>soul king open-palm slams yhwach in the face
>his spine snaps and his head hangs down backwards
>he rips out yhwach's soul and devourers it while yhwach's body turns into a hollow
>the hollow is dragged into the Hell Gate
>Ichigo is like wow dude that's a bit much
>Ichigo is like wow dude that's a bit much
I'm imagining he's something like what the Elder God was in Soul Reaver. The entity that drives the cycle of death and rebirth to assure the continuation of history.
And then the Soul King turns out to be what the Elder God actually WAS. An eldritch abomination spitfuck that just loved to eat souls.
>immune to everything he understands, as long as someone explains it to him
>Ichigo has no fucking clue what the fuck he's doing most of the time or what his powers are
Gee, I wonder how it's gonna go down
>>immune to everything he understands, as long as someone explains it to him
It's probably enough for him to understand it on his own too.
It's just easier when someone explains it.
>til they figure it out themselves
So what you're saying is that there isn't one. Even in HxH with all its superior narration the characters still figure out each others powers before the fights are concluded. Therefore, "Almighty" is still broken af.
Yhwach didn't die. How surprising.
Consider this guys:
What exactly could disgust Aizen?
This is a guy who subjugated an entire realm, fucked with the rules of nature, flim-flammed his associates for centuries, turned himself into something just short of an elder god and was prepared to rack up a six figure body count get what he wanted.
Whatever the soul king is, it can't just be something as simple as an elder god. It has to be something that offends him and tramples upon his very existence.
are you forgetting the target audience? they don´t understand shit if they don´t have any in your face explenation. Kubo has to add them and he decided to do it this way instead of a narrator, I guess it seems more natural for him.
Hey it would have been fun if the monk DID kill him, but then Yhwach would revive by taking over Ishida's body and kill the monk.
This way you couldn't say the monk didn't achieve anything and up the stakes a bit.
if names are important and everyone says "Bankai" on release does this mean that everyone's gonna be getting another ability by saying "True Strike" on release instead?
kubo please you're making a mess
Sometimes they don't though
The only times that fights go on long enough to even START understanding is when you're dealing with a very even playing field which doesn't happen often
But yeah, his power is bullshit
>What exactly could disgust Aizen?
The Soul King sustains himself and the balance of the universe by eating souls WITH HIS ASSHOLE.
>Implying Uruyu won't just kill Yhwach and take his powers himself and solve the whole situation without wasting time before teaming up with Ichigo, Orihime and Chad to take on the Soul King.
>Implying at the very last moment Aizen won't show up after being freed by Hat-kun and kill the Soul King ultimately becoming Final Boss+.
>Implying Ichigo won't get a new Getsuga Tenshou will every Shinigami power combined into him using Yhwach's absorbtion special ability bullshit he gives to Ichigo as he dies on the floor.
It was all dream, I used to read word up Magazine
Jesus fuck I want to believe that isnt real but I know that somewhere on this planet there is someone exactly that fucked up.
>What exactly could disgust Aizen?
Something he knows that's objectively more relevant than him.
The only thing that can piss off someone with a God-complex is an actual God. And boy, he does not like the Soul King.
Perhaps its some along the lines of the Soul King actually being truly omnipotent and capable of making things better for everyone but does nothing but put everyone in their places to suffer. I mean he hates Urahara for pretty much the same thing and believes what he does is right in spite of the bodies.
No, because Saitama doesn't realize his power is to kill everything in one punch. Plus, that isn't really an ability or power, it's his raw strength. I doubt it works on that else Yhwach would have won everything by now.
