Why do people hate him again?
>only wants to find his father and have fun adventures with all his tomodachis
>is a filial son
>smooth as fuck
>innocent and pure
Don't know. Ok he was mean to Killua and selfish but so what? Nobody is perfect.
>innocent and pure
>transforms to hyper Shadow the Edgelord mode.
This is why I dislike this character.
He really is the youngest, most innocent and pure child out of all Shōnen characters until he goes MAN MODE Kenshiro on your ass.
That transition is too stark. It makes no sense.
He LITERALLY is 3edgy5me! I can't take it seriously... If this was One Piece I could go with the grimdark transform but really?
Look at the fucking pic, it screams;
>CRAWLING IN MY SKIN.
>THESE WOUNDS THEY WILL NOT HEAL.
He also threatened an innocent, almost dead blind girl because of muh revenge, even though he though he kite was still alive at the time. He wanted to kill Pitou even though that would mean a completely unrelated innocent would die and kite would would remain in his current state forever (in theory). He is a fucking prick.
Except he was bluffing there and he didn't wanted to kill Pitou until he told him that Kite was dead.
>fucked up childhood
>still manages to change into one of most caring and loyal people in the series
>orphaned at the age of 12, basically lost everything
>had to get adjusted to completely new culture and language in racist environment
>sees his life as worthless at the age of 20
>unstable but somehow manages to keep his shit together
>lost good friend as a child, feels guilty about it
>completely stable person with caring heart
>normal childhood, dad is somewhere but that's not a serious issue
>goes batshit insane after losing a mentor that he didn't even know that well
He's a little bit dangerous.
The fact that this pushed him to be innocent the whole way threw then something he didn't like happen and he became a bitch. For real threw out the manga he should of made gon turn into a man not into a little faggot ass prick.
>tells Killua that it has nothing to do with him
>KILL GON! IT'S TIME WE MURDER HIM WITH OUR OWN BARE HANDS!! I SIMOLY CANNOT TOLERATE ANY NONSENSE TOWARDS KILLUA!!!!
Really? It's not like Gon tried to murder him or something, but most of you Killuafags are ungrateful as fuck.
What else could he do to make Pitou take him seriously? He wouldn't have threatened to murder her if she/he would be willing to listen to him
It was only because Pitou killed Kite, not because he "didn't like it". Did you even watch the show?
Exatly and when gon lost him it should of taugth gon how to grow up and deal with life but instead he goes bat shit insane like a little bitch.
Yes i know pitou killed kite and he had the whole mind break thing when he saw kites body. The point being is you don't snap after one death. That kid wanted to be a professional hunter he should be ready for death on the job.
>gains an invincible powerup by going SSJ upon rage
>will it cost him his life/nen?
>no, there's a deus ex machina reality warping deity that just happens to be his best friend's sister/trapbrother
Gon blamed himself for Kite's death, and even said that the time that he would hurt himself when he could no longer forgive himself. He was very suicidal during that arc.
Look at this way if someone close to you died, and you thought that it was your fault how would you feel?
Except that it wasn't an empty threat, he almost actually did it. Given the situation, it was pretty clear that Pitou would do what he wanted, heck, even after he/she told him this he was still going at it and Killua had to stop him.
I wouldn't snap I would feel bad and want revenge but what the little shit dose is not right. He forsake everything that arc just cause one of his friends died. My friends have died before I know the feeling but you tough it out and stick with your friends. If you are going to pull what he did he should of just killed himself. The thing that pisses me off the most after he smashed the bitches head in like a watermelon and was healed him and his friends acted like nothing happened. After the whole election arc at the end when they say go meet kite cause the faggot didn't even die is when I dropped HxH. so i don't know if he got punished but he better have been.
yea and killua did the right thing. By nothing happend I mean some one should of beat some sense back into him since words weren't working. Gon was in the wrong 100% that arc.
He's 12-13 years old, and like I said before he blames himself for Kite's death, and thinks that if he wasn't around then Kite wouldn't have died.
Also what? One of the first things that Gon did when he woke up was ask to see Killua because he wanted to apologize. He realized that what he did was wrong and wanted to make amends, whether he did or not is unknown.
I know that that is apparent in the manga, but in the anime Gon's obsession with Kite is kind of bs. The anime makes it seem like he was with kite for a couple of weeks and then suddenly he likes him as much as Killua
Its weird Madhouse didn't just erase Gon's relationship with Kite but also the character Kon all together, they also took out how Gon found out about his father, and Gon realizing that Mito was lying to him, and admitting it to her
Dude just saying it's because he is a kid isn't good enough. By that then every kid who losses a love one has the right to go psychotic and murder people?? No just because he was a kid doesn't mean fucking shit.
Again a traumatized kid, in an extraordianry position where they not only lost their loved one but that believed that they were at fault for said loved ones death. Death by a psychotic killer monster no less.
You have that happen to a kid and watch how well adjusted afterwards.
No, Pitou explained to him that Kite was actually dead all along. The only reason i don't like Gon is because he was acting like a bitch when he though Kite was still alive and almost killed Komugi (an innocent) along with Pitou, the only one who could theoretically save kite at the time, thus putting Kite's life in risk indirectly.
Kite is just as unimportant in the manga as he is in the anime. He only ever shows up once in the manga until Gon meets him again, and Gon never gives a single shit about him until that point. He barely even cares about him when he meets him since he's more interested in his father and being a hunter than Kite. I don't know why and how people make comments like >>117716876 since Kite really isn't important at all until he shows up again.
That was after when Pitou actually fucking look at Kite, beforehand she wouldn't even look at him which is why Gon was pissed off at her.
And again you sound like an ass, cause you're expecting a grieving, suicidal, little kid to just "man up" and accept the fact that their friend was murdered.
Just watched episode 131, I really find it strange how much Gon was affected by Kite's death. They barelly knew each other, if it was Killua or that woman that raised him I would understand, but he only met Kite a few weeks ago.
>Its weird Madhouse didn't just erase Gon's relationship with Kite
What's the difference between the anime and the manga ?
Kite's the whole reason why Gon wanted to become a Hunter in the first place, and the reason why Ging sent Gon to Kite was because he knew that Kite was the one that Gon wanted to see.
To be fair, if we're talking about "maturity", then killing an innocent to get an edge over a superpowered species that threatens to kill all of humanity is perfectly alright.
Iirc, in the manga kite is introduced very early on but its still only for like 5 minutes. What >>117718069 said was basically right. Its blown out of proportion. Everyone tries really hard to justify it but Gon is basically being autismal, but thats normal for Gon.
Do you not get that he was just in denial over his death? He consciously denied it but still knew it, why else do you think that scene with him almost blowing up smoke-guy happen?
>Does not know the 4 stages of grief
>Expects grieving to be the same for everyone
Again it boggles the mind how you expect a grieving little kid who is at point suicidal to behave rationally.
No, he thought he was just being controlled, not dead
HE THOUGH HE WAS ALIVE, FOR THE LAST TIME
HE WOULDN'T GET PITOU TO FOLLOW HIM IF HE HONESTLY THOUGHT KITE WAS DEAD
Kite is not the reason Gon wanted to become a hunter, his father is. Gon wanted to find out why being a Hunter is so much more fun than actually raising him, which is the closest thing to a central plot point the series had. All Kite did was tell him about his father and Hunter's.
The foxbear that Gon raised after Kite killed its mother in order to protect Gon. Gon had to separate from Kon because he wanted to become a Hunter.
Just go find the first chapters of the manga, and then the equivalent chapters when Gon returns to Whale Island.
No, remember when he first woke up after Killua knocked him out and ran away? He was already in full denial mode and kept with that.
He knew Kite was dead when he saw him, he just chose not to believe it.
That has nothing to do with Gon actually wanting to become a hunter as Kite himself has no influence over Gon wanting to become a hunter. You might as well be saying Bulma is the whole reason Goku becomes a super saiyan.
Except it is because Kite is the one who ignited the interest in Gon, if Kite wasn't there then Gon wouldn't have been interested.
Goku became strong because it was always his desire to become stronger. Bulma only the vehicle that started his journey. She didn't ignite his interest to begin with.
>Why was Killua being manipulated by a nen needle?
Illumi has a crazy perversion of brotherly love crazy and wants to completely manipulate Killua
>Why does Kite have no problem with being a grill?
Togashi has a thing for traps, apparently.
ITT people who didn't understand HxH
Gon was never "innocent" and "pure", his fucked up nature was CONSTANTLY alluded to. Such as the part where he loses his fucking arm because he was too stubborn to follow a plan that was working perfectly, the entire Hanzo fight, etc.
Regardless of what you think about how close he was to Kite, it makes perfect sense how furious he was.
>Gon was never "innocent" and "pure", his fucked up nature was CONSTANTLY alluded to.
>Regardless of what you think about how close he was to Kite, it makes perfect sense how furious he was.
I just dislike Gonfags who still insist he did nothing wrong.
>He really is the youngest, most innocent and pure child out of all Shōnen characters until he goes MAN MODE Kenshiro on your ass.
>That transition is too stark. It makes no sense.
Only doesn't make sense if you don't know the character. Before the Greedy Island arc you should remember him talking with the auction guy. If I'm allowed to use my own words here out of lazyness to search for the chapter, he says something "Gon is really innocent, everything he does is pure and without any intention other than having fun, how... scary. Someone that can't discern the good and the evil and is equally interested in both." or something like that.
I recommend you searching the chapter, but you would be really stupid if you didn't see the edgelord mode coming.
