Besides, considering Sekai can't even fix the Burning Build Gundam himself, they can't even afford to damage until much later.

It does lack the magic of S1. I liked the tactical gimmicks in this episode (reminded me of the Renado brothers), but Fumina's team again won due to HURR DURR.

Why are foreheads so attractive?

God the writing in this episode was painful.

The comm jamming tactic made no sense since everyone was standing a meter away from each other well within talking distance. Even if it did work it would hurt the science team far more than it would team Try, since the former relied on team communication far more than the latter which just did whatever the fuck they wanted independent of each other.

The science team's tactics were... above average, but considering they were tripped up by a single mobile suit have a single feature they didn't anticipate, I find it hard to believe their tactics worked that well previously considering how often everybody else in this show upgrades their gunpla with super special secret powers as well.

And it's getting annoying how much of Team Try's tactics end up being "Burning Gundam, do everything!" because of Sekai's martial arts + plavsky particles being a whole bag of asspull techniques. Barrage of missiles flying at you? Blow them away by turning into a tornado! Remote drones jamming the area? Just punch the ground so hard they all get blown away!

And the show trying to force "Fumina managed to bring the whole team together!" this episode just didn't fucking work because she did fuck-all to try to coordinate them this episode. Ironically her leadership skills were actually relevant in previous fights so if anything they should've shoved that hamfisted message in earlier but in this one all she did was buff Sekai and Yuuma's Gundams and let them have at it. She didn't even issue any fucking commands. Putting a bigger fist on Burning and a rifle extension on Lightning and then going off on your own and somehow defeating a mobile suit alone with a piddly little core fighter stripped of 90% of its armaments isn't "great teamwork".

Also I find it extremely hard to believe that the Science team managed to get outside of Yuuma's expected range given how ridiculous his sniping was in previous episodes.
