Are you ready?
Him? Once he gets his ass kicked by Yuuma.
>Tfw you will never prove yourself to him
Edgy hick-boy confirmed for great taste.
>Tetrodotoxin finally getting on the Gyanko train
Post yfw Lady, Smugmao, and QUALITY Builder are the Ultimate Rival Team
They're being built up as the most significant rivals of the three main team members outside of the King Edgelord that traumatized Yuuma, but I'm betting he's a higher tier of boss. Lady could be a higher tier, but I can't think of anyone else in the opening that'd take the Fumina Rival spot on the RIVARU team other than Lady.
Did China's cat pin emulate her expressions, too?
Julian straight up admits he can't stay away from this toward the end of the fight, though. If anything, that battle would bring him back.
I don't think we'll be seeing him, though.
So for shielded girls we have China > Gyanko > Caroline, with Aila, Not Allenby, and Mihoshi being unshielded goods.
Do we know what Squid Girl pilots yet? And I forget whether or not Gyanko's flunkies and their ugly suits even have shields.
Fellini is a gentleman and a scholar. He's no purityfag. He'd suavely declare that he'll make her forget anyone else that's touched her.
Before getting kicked out of bed for uttering Fenice instead of Mihoshi or even Kirara. Bad form.
Oh, duh. Leading girl. I think Caroline might beat her, her shield had a polished metallic sheen.
Squid Girl is the Ever Snacking >>116804402
Mirai probably gets the Beargguy Family thing eventually. Doubt it has stuffing. No shield, no surprise there.
Little brother belongs to older sister.
Come and get it!
Why is Fumina so perfect? Whenever I see her I just get an urge to fap, I've lost count of how many times. Sunrise really out did themselves.
>Awesome action scenes
>Great custom mecha designs
What is there not to love?
Well duh. Question is: Will it have any practical use in Gunpla battle?
As we've already seen in BF1: in-universe powers (e.g. Moonlight Butterfly) mean absolutely nothing compared to build quality/modelling skill.
>dat slight cheek peek
It's the small details, man.
So how many hot girls, generic "martial arts", boring fights, and Ramba Ral's does it take to justify watching this show?
I'm on episode 4 and I'm already exhausted of this. Sure, Fumi is hot, but I don't know how much of the protag's 1 dimensional screaming about karate I can endure.
I hope there's something in store for us in the future here.
Sei was a great character in S1 because we saw how his Gunpla transfored to the end and becoming Star Build Strike.
I hope we see Build Cosmos in action.
so these are the bitches that took over my pixiv feed.
what the fuck is this shit?
because it's lewder that way.
Childrens fighting game. It's fun. Try it anon:
>GBF is no where near the top of the popularity lists this season
Good reason for that too, Try has been a bore compared to the original. It's just been almost a boring retread of the same material.
>what the fuck is this shit?
Your new fap material
Episode 6 of the original proved itself with Build Strike vs Zaku Amazing. Here...it's a pretty bland battle that had an interesting start, but then gimmicks happened and made it a lazy curbstomp instead of a proper battle. It basically has the problems that S1 had in its later half.
>SHIELD! SHIELD! SHIELD! SHIELD!!!
> "We realized we overused the Build Knuckle too much in S1, we want to mix things up!"
> proceed to give a broken as fuck dedicated melee unit a cheap Reiji knock-off
It's just so bland and boring. Yuuma always snipes shit in the end, Fumina is fapbait with a shitty SD Gundam and Sekai is just a punching 1-trick pony.
Besides, considering Sekai can't even fix the Burning Build Gundam himself, they can't even afford to damage until much later.
It does lack the magic of S1. I liked the tactical gimmicks in this episode (reminded me of the Renado brothers), but Fumina's team again won due to HURR DURR.
She's so hyper all the time and isn't afraid of showing her feelings
Oh shit I just realized.
>G-fighter in the opening
>Sleggar just appeared and is going to join the team
>Sleggar was the original pilot for G-fighter
>tfw he's gonna be fighting with it
Indeed. We haven't had anyone like Fellini to be a fun side character, Edgy Mao and Yuuma are boring, we still don't know anything about the Mega-Shiki team side from the fact that they're probably the big 1st cour rivals, and Sekai manages to be even blander than Reiji, since Reiji had a legitimate desire to get better at battling and trained to get there.
Unlikely. They have to win to make it to the nationals so they won't lose anytime soon, even to Snapfag or the team with 5head and Sleggar.
Like others said, the lack of Yuuki and Fellini leaves absolutely no obstacle in their path. And Fumina is way too competent as a team leader, her Gunpla is basically fucking training wheels for the other two because they suck so bad at anything other than their specialty.
The crush Yuuma has on Sekai's sister is pointless and doesn't make for any kind of good comedy or real development. EdgeMao's vendetta against battling has no fucking basis in anything since Mao is a battler, and Chinan presumably fights on the same level as Ral. Also, it goes against that urge to prove that the Gunpla you made is the strongest, which was a pretty good motivation for Sei.
Won't matter, Renato brothers are over 19 years old they won't fight Try Fighters. Honestly I found that rule kind of amusing because right now their goal is the Nationals aka being the best in Japan. By episode 6 Sei and Reiji were aiming to qualify for the WORLD championships.
The difference in scope already proves just how much better the S1 players were.
>Keep imagining what the line would sound like in the original voice.
The new VA isn't bad, he just doesn't have Rals gruff voice and it doesn't fit well.
so are we going to just ignore the 2007 Hi-nu?
It's because he's sexually frustrated as fuck. First he wanted Yuuma to ravage his boypussy, and now he wants Fumina. The guy is desperate and it shows in his behavior.
Obviously. Neither GBF or Try are aimed at the same demographics or age groups (late teens to young adults) most evening time-slotted anime are.
And funnily enough one of the latter volumes for GBF still did better then the entirety of AGE did. These shows make their success from followings in Newtype, Gundam Ace magazine, and toys.
You aren't going to see a huge following for it on twitter with their official ones but that's how it works when your anime is aimed at 6 to 10 year old boys.
Rinko and Mira/Kirara were literally fanservice characters. Which is why Fumina is basically a Rinko expy so they can justify having a female character in the sequel running around in spats and sports bras without cutting back to momma reactions.
Of course there's probably a few adults watching GBF, which is why it had such an amazing turnout in doujins at Comiket.
i looked up "Majin bone milf" and found this. is this the one?
We have Lady and oneesan.
>that child-like personality with that mature body
Sunrise though. Pic related also 15 years old
How he met Mirai while she was shopping?
Why he was so late to the match, what he did this night? Why Mirai wasn't watching her brother's important match?
Mirai doesn't have much good fan art
Fumina in the other hand..
Agree, this is the only fanart I've saved of her, the rest is Fumina and Gyanko.
What happens if she wins
That's a team battle, you know.
Don't hate her or Fumina for having actually interesting design and personality.
People aren't as interested in Mirai because her character is pretty much "she's a beauty" and that's every other girl in anime. Also imoutos are still superior.
You forgot tomboy, genki, Gundam fan.
She's not a beauty in same way as Mirai because no one is making a huge deal out of it. You're free to like Mirai but she's pretty boring to me.
>Was he just trying to analyze the situation or just too cautious, or both?
Both probably, he didnt know where or any or the enemy was or what his allies were doing, so he'd be unlikely to rush in and possibly make things worse
Honestly, I was rooting for the college team to win. Their tactics were pretty great. Ambushing and hit and run tactics in Gundam are fucking awesome.
They need a team of tryhard American war veterans to enter the world tournament this season.
>He wants the Hoshino
This guy isn't so bad after all.
I swear this anime might as well just be called Gundam Best Waifus
God the writing in this episode was painful.
The comm jamming tactic made no sense since everyone was standing a meter away from each other well within talking distance. Even if it did work it would hurt the science team far more than it would team Try, since the former relied on team communication far more than the latter which just did whatever the fuck they wanted independent of each other.
The science team's tactics were... above average, but considering they were tripped up by a single mobile suit have a single feature they didn't anticipate, I find it hard to believe their tactics worked that well previously considering how often everybody else in this show upgrades their gunpla with super special secret powers as well.
And it's getting annoying how much of Team Try's tactics end up being "Burning Gundam, do everything!" because of Sekai's martial arts + plavsky particles being a whole bag of asspull techniques. Barrage of missiles flying at you? Blow them away by turning into a tornado! Remote drones jamming the area? Just punch the ground so hard they all get blown away!
And the show trying to force "Fumina managed to bring the whole team together!" this episode just didn't fucking work because she did fuck-all to try to coordinate them this episode. Ironically her leadership skills were actually relevant in previous fights so if anything they should've shoved that hamfisted message in earlier but in this one all she did was buff Sekai and Yuuma's Gundams and let them have at it. She didn't even issue any fucking commands. Putting a bigger fist on Burning and a rifle extension on Lightning and then going off on your own and somehow defeating a mobile suit alone with a piddly little core fighter stripped of 90% of its armaments isn't "great teamwork".
Also I find it extremely hard to believe that the Science team managed to get outside of Yuuma's expected range given how ridiculous his sniping was in previous episodes.
I REALLY want to see her lose a match, get
reassured by the leader of the team that beat her and proceed to lovingly fuck each other while spewing insults at each other.
>The vulcans on the winning gundam demolishing that guy was bullshit though.
SD heads are huge but yeah.
>isn't "great teamwork"
Obviously. Yuuma camped his ass and didn't even bother to support his teammates and Sekai rushed like an idiot leaving Fumina trying to save his ass again is not a teamwork. This episode just showcased Winning's gimmicks.
>This episode just showcased Winning's gimmicks.
If they had finished the episode off with "that girl, what an ingenious builder" it would've been fine, but no, she had to have "cleverly built a gunpla that made everybody work together". Yeah, no, it didn't make them work together for shit.
Since their team will not lose during the elimination. What they need is to battle someone or some group outside of the tournament and lose badly making them realize that they need to gel together to win shit.
>it didn't make them work together for shit
This. All it did was upgrade her comrade's individual skills.
It's not like there was some form of advanced teamwork other than the dispersal of the jamming nodes. But even then, I'm pretty sure that was only because Sekai missed his initial attack.
Fumina is just a child at play you monster
>You finished my SD for me? Thanks, you're my best
>punching doesn't work
>punch a bigger fist
Fucking muscle wizards
>wrecked by a mopy dick, a muscle brain and a shameless sex slut
Gyanko should be MC of this "Shield Hero" LN (or it's manga?).
Yeah, you'd think after techniques became well know (like Bearguy's stuffing, and that gangster who put deflection coating on his gunpla) that everyone would do them if they could.
>Straight Assembly Shimon
Minato's gonna get pissy next week, I can already tell.
Deflection coating has popped up multiple times since then. Plus something about it seems to limit it to what it can be coated with. Seeing as it blocks or weakens palavski particles, and gunpla requires those to move, it seems o be mostly limited to big mobile armors and carriers and such that don't have a ton of moving parts to begin with.
I got a little pissy just looking at the close up of it.
>Bad seam lines
>Nubs here and there
Sunrise did a good job of animating what a beginner built gunpla looks like.
Obviously the actual contestant holo cubicles have some sort of sound insulation to simulate being in gundams (think about how easily it would be for the crowd or coaches to easily shout out the position of enemy fighters otherwise)
As for in the Gunpla realm, didn't you see Team Science shoot wires at each other for wired communication. In canon Minovsky Particles jam most forms of radar and communication anyway and wired comms are one of the ways to get around it (Laser comms wouldn't work as well due to the foliage of the jungle)
>Pulls him to the side
>Spends a full afternoon giving him a lecture on proper building, what tools to get, etc
>Powered up for the fight against team try
I want to see either that or Simon bumping into Sei wearing a fake beard and have him help teach him.
What if it was built by the dead kid, you know Simon's brother? And Simon's just trying to win with it intentionally because of some dying wish or trying to prove his brother's love for gunpla wasn't misplaced. I dunno there could be a million explanations that doesn't involve him actually being retarded.
Oh boo fucking hoo. He's dead, let it go nerd
I'm well aware. It just hurts to see poorly built plamo all the same. Especially considering its easily fixable, and even mroe especially since it seems like he's trying to win with it and the more well built a gunpla is the higher its performance.
So Ral can just come in anywhere and anytime he wants huh?
And by then even though they would have more merit on their own, Iori Sei and Domon will power up Yuuma and Sekai so hard those two will be left in the dust once the World Tournament comes around.
Well, if they decide to do a World Tourney route and not just end it at Nationals.
He could in S1. Hell, he could even respond directly to peoples comments form another room or across a stadium, despite not being anywhere near close enough to have heard what they are saying. He's omnipotent and near-omnipresent within the BF world.
It means being a scrub in gunpla building
A straight build/snap fit kit is a kit without any sort of painting or modifications done. It's just been "snapped" together straight out of the box and maybe panel lined and nub removed.
No sanding, no paint, no customization. Final Destinyation.
Neither Sunrise nor Bandai sell a basic tool set. They don't sell hobby tools at all to my knowledge in fact. Even Gundam markers are licensed through a different company IIRC.
Who knows, the staff already said that they will most likely never go to it or focus on it in any real way because it would draw attention away from the gunpla which would miss teh point of the series.
Yep. I think most of us plamo/gunpla builders were guilty of it at some point. Here's oe of my childhood kits. The arm broke so I fixed it by mummying it in masking tape.
Maybe Reiji will explain it once he gets back from Guiana.
But basically, it's the same thing as every other Japanese "game" anime / manga: There's always a magical realm out there with people who are amazing at playing games. There must be some Japanese or East Asian myth it's all coming out of, but fuck if I know which one.
Plot device for where palavski came from and adds a bit of drive o the villain in place of an evil plot at the end. Seriously, there was no grand or evil scheme, so they had to add some sort of driving force and mystery to the antagonist.
i remember getting a shining gundam when G aired on toonami. i had such a blast snapping it together but it was probably shit in the end.
if i were smart like you and took pictures i would have a nice memory but unfortunately im dumb as rocks.
That (Shitty) pic is from when I was first getting back into gunpla and pulled a bunch of my childhood ones out of a box. Most are missing pieces. To his day I have no idea where freedoms head is.
better than me breaking the leg of my MG S-Gundam by sitting on it (was cleaning the shelf it was on so put it on my bed)
Can you hear it /a/? These gunplas are crying
We posting gunpla horror now?
I've improved since then! I swear! I'd fix up my old ones but I have a backlog to think of now.
Don't hate me childhood gunpla. I didn't know about removing nubs and thought painting was too hard to do well.
I can post worse stuff if you want.
Why not? They also got blog picking shit up on 4chan and translating them
Not him, but top 20 what? Was there a poll recently or something?
Varies. BAndai likes to switch to newer polycap runners every 5-10 years and even then the engineering and peg/connection type can differ even among kits in the same line. While there is plenty of stuff that can be swapped around without modding (and there are now parts specifically made for adapting certain pegs into other connection types and addon and part sets for customizing and detail upping with) I would suggest learning how to pin parts together. With that you can swap or make your own connections for easier kitbashing.
I hope you mean amazon sales numbers like >>116835958 as Bandai does not release sales numbers for individual kits or even lines (It all gets lumped together under "Gundam" on their yearly sales reports that they release).
I've never watched anything Gundam, but holy shit Fumina is the most fappable girl of the season. They just did everything so right when designing her.
Nee-Sans going to have to up her game
