Fantastic, just when i was going to upload the template so you can create more awesome memes about this scene.
It's down for maintenance. Should be back up in 45-60 minutes.
Next time there's scheduled maintenance I really should just make a thread about it, because if I don't then inevitably someone else clearly will.
That's like saying you're too dependent on a debit card. It's fast, easy, and gets you almost everything you need. There's no reason not to use nyaa as much as you can.
Knowing alternative sources is a good idea obviously, but there's no reason not to use nyaa while it's up.
I know you said debit card but you reminded me of a colleague that invited me and a few others to a diner and then freaked out when he found out they don't accept credit cards.
It was weird, there were signs practically everywhere, how did we miss them. Moral of the story, put some emergency fund in your fucking wallet.
>I've been lurking here for at least a year
Not very long, and not very effectively. Last time nyaa went down for a while, people were spoonfeeding left and right.
>the monopoly that Daiz set up
He only has a monopoly because you are such a newfag. The sites exist.
I don't carry cash in case I get mugged. I can always have the card remotely cancelled, not that they could use it since I scratched off the security code on the back.
Simple solution: don't eat at restaurants that don't accept cards.
>Simple solution: don't eat at restaurants that don't accept cards.
That works, also it was not like they didn't accept debit. They do, just specifically credit card was a no no. Weird diner but has the most fucking delicious milkshake holyshit.
>I don't carry cash in case I get mugged
I don't mean to bring a lot of money but just like $60-80 or so.
What's your favourite show this season
No, you're missing the point. TT just uses magnet links for Nyaa, without Nyaa they have nothing to link to. TT is useful only for short term situations like this, it solves nothing for long term downtime like we experienced during labor day weekend. Because if nothing is being uploaded to Nyaa, TT can't link to it.
More likely he either filtered a fake or lost his settings, I've used this trip since 2008.
There's pretty much no point to having magnets when you're hosting the torrents for everything on the site.
Too bad HS and other groups only upload to Nyaa and no other trackers.
That's one of the reasons Nyaa is so trusted by the anime community, because the people submitting torrents are the subgroups themselves.
It's also why I switched to XDCC rather than using other trackers, because I don't trust trackers where shit is uploaded by random people.
Oh fuck, does that mean I'm my own father?
Do you know what your torrent client does with magnets links? It downloads the actual torrent file as the first thing. You're still getting torrent files one way or another. If it bothers you that much, just delete them afterwards.
That's what I was saying I should do the next time.
Wrong. A torrent magnet link basically contains the info hash of a torrent file, and then your client uses DHT/PEX and such to find and download the matching torrent file for the info hash, after which it starts downloading the torrent as usual.
>implying they say thanks in such a non-autistic fashion
It might be a meme now since it's gained a lot more visibility, but I've seen him post that for months on various gundam releases.
CR's G-reco is fine. What I really want Sage to do is to keep up with GBF. I can't stand those shitty sunrise rips.
It's really retarded to rely on Nyaa as your top priority site for torrents. You should lurk and see the names of the group tag's to some of your favorite downloads and visit those sites as well. Don't just sit there and expect for Nyaa to be around all the time.
Is 10bit still useful for anime when you can just filter on the fly with f3kdb these days?
A lot of the group sites are hosted on the same servers as Nyaa is, so that wouldn't do you any good.
Plus most of the torrent download links on those sites are effectively just a download link directly from the Nyaa site.
Honestly, I actually kind of like j-list ads. I know I'm never going to buy anything from them and the otaku pandering is kind of cute.
>My first catgirl onahole™
I don't know man, I think he should install gentoo on his toaster or something.
Generally speaking actually decent encodes will always trump poor encodes + postprocessing, not to mention that encoders usually have a better clue and control over the processing (not to mention it doesn't have to be realtime) than a random end user.
Suppose you had a decent encode in 10bit and then you do another encode with everything the same except it was in 8bit. How much of a difference would there be between the two if you apply the f3kdb filter over both videos during playback?
It doesn't, a single episode is more like 2-4 hours (depending on the filter chain). If you're referring to tonight's Parasyte, the problem was that I made a mistake when adjusting my filter chain and ended up encoding useless garbage for about 4 hours before realizing I made a mistake and restarted the encode.
Well, for one the video would effectively get debanded twice with 8bit + postprocessing in your suggested scenario, which obviously has more room for theoretical detail loss.
