From what I can tell, Nasu doesn't really have much written for Prototype. Or rather, the majority of Prototype's story elements were inserted into Fate/stay night; the "trailer" just had all the main important bits from the original prototype that weren't already migrated into Fate/stay night.

Prototype was already an incomplete book to begin with, and then Nasu ended up cutting out entire chunks for the visual novel. So it's an incomplete novel that also has a ton of holes cut through most of its pages.

Come to think of it, once the remake's out, what are we gonna call the original Tsukihime?

Tsukihime really only had one route that really touched on the Church, and even that was more about Roa than anything. Arc's route was about Arc, Ciel's was about Roa, and the Far Side were all about various facets of the Tohno family.

How much of a loser do you have to be to get upset over stuff like that? It's a hobby. It takes time and energy to produce something like a translation project.
I got into anime when Type Moon Fes happened, so I'm late to the party on some of this stuff. But from what I've read in the past few weeks, the constant rage over shit like "the white man", it's a text file not burnt into the video. It can be fixed. I just don't get it. I just don't.

For visual novels, where a significant amount of text is needed, like Fate/Extra CCC or Witch on a Holy Night, they always leave the projects closed. Like a "It's ready when it's ready" when they don't have time to work on it. They could make it open-source and have moderation on what's translated and what's not. This is all in my head, idk how these things actually go. I imagine one guy translates, another guy makes sure it's readable, and another guy inserts it into the game.

That is how TLwiki is "supposed" to work. Making it so that anyone can edit scripts. However, if you do something without permission they undo your changes even if it's correct. And they never give permission.

Remember very few people even care about what they are translating, they just want to translate something popular or that might become popular.

Doki is a group that is CONSTANTLY getting shitted on by Moogy and friends in TL wiki and by Commie. But then Sekai project stole Doki's work from the Claanad translation and is now selling it.

I would say Doki is probably the best group in terms of not caring about epeen. Their translations are very average, but people like to shit on them because they will translate whatever they want and don't ask other groups permission to start a project which is apparently a standard thing to do if someone is already working on something.

Mahoyo Part 1 is pretty boring for the most part. It would work better as a movie or several extended OVAs than an anime series.

Tsukihime won't happen till the VN remake comes out in 2025 or something.

Extra could be fun if they were inventive with the material - I haven't played the sequel but they would need to mix things up and improve the pacing if they were to adapt the original.

Also, the choice between Nero and Archer for FeMC's servant would be challenging.
While Nero is fun, Archer has some great dialogue and the stuff on his backstory is really nice.


Haven't played H/A or read Apocrypha so I can't really comment on those. Apoc's MC doesn't really look very sellable though - Mordred would have to carry it.

That sounds like a Cool Club thing like all of the SECONDARIES on here.
The fact that they only want to translate what's hot is encouraging less of the good stuff to be worked on. I doubt Mirror Moon were translating Fate/Stay Night because they were going to get a false sense of accomplishment.
I always wonder how much good VNs or Manga we are missing because people aren't motivated to work on it because it isn't popular. If everyone had that attitude, there wouldn't be fansubs in the first place.

Doki sound awesome, even if they don't produce the best, they seem like cool guys in general.
UTW always seemed like cool guys, even though everybody is probably spamming their site with "Where's FSN UBW?!" again and again.
