Are you ready to wow wow?
>OP isn't going to be Database anymore
What's the point
Ok so, I could go ride to Tsutaya to see if they have the soundtrack CD.
Pros: It's closer. I don't have to get on the train.
Con: I'll be sweating buckets by the time I get home, and they might not even have it in stock yet.
Or I could go to Tower Records.
Pros: They'll definitely have it. I can also get some
hamburgerswhile I'm in Shinjuku.
Cons: Packed sweatshop midday train.
Orrr I could just order it same day delivery through Amazon.
Pros&Con: remain NEET as fuck
True enough. WoW being the biggest example, the heroic gear from 85-90 lasted me until level 89 before I finally replaced my last trinket. From 90 to 100 people will be saving gear for at least 6-7 levels.
Also, this show only started out promising. Going from adventure to straight politics and fan-service makes for a severely garbage story.
I have no idea why anyone even feels threatened enough to compare /a/ to other western sites. reddit can do what they want, it doesn't affect me. I'll be here on /a/ until it dies or I do.
well that was a huge waste of time.
Went to Tsutaya, Tower Records, and HMV, and none of them had it. Should have ordered it same-day off amazon, now I have to wait till tomorrowwww like a chump

The worst part is Naotsugu not being the tank of group 1. One of the main characters and he doesnt even get to main tank.
If I recall correctly, Naotsugu did plenty of raiding, but he didn't bother to farm phantasmal gear because he used a slightly different build he was more comfortable with. Or something.

Looks like a true gentleman to me.
>be an edgy scythe wielding bard
>scythe sucks guild leader into a black hole

It's not bullying it's forcefully persuading.
Is it actually translated? Fan or official?
>Spend a few episodes testing out new in-game mechanics to find out whether they'll die or not while saving a maid for friends, spend the rest of the time scamming people out of gold, discussing things with the NPC king, putting the loli at the forefront of all the nothing that's happening to keep the weeb audience.
Except an entire expansion pack. It wouldn't be so terrible if they'd not mentioned there was an entire expansion pack to go through since the very beginning, and instead said, "Well we've been endgame pros for so long now that we might as well be the guys that do jack-shit but discuss politics for an entire season." They didn't do that, though. They prepared nothing but gold instead of levelling, which isn't a bad thing in its entirety if you're staving off the levels for a week or so and then catching up, but an entire season is beyond overkill. You'd have to actively go out of your way to make an anime that goes under the "shounen, action" category almost nothing but talk.
Their mindset was that they suddenly woke up in the bodies of their characters in an mmo, they had more important things to be doing, than levelling.
Hell, even getting over the adjustment between using your character to slay mobs and having to slay them yourself was enough to stop quite a lot of people from going out and doing so, at least at first.
They just making themselves comfortable first before actually trying the new contents and it's not like they instantly knew where the new contents are, nobody actually managed to read the change log before got transported to Elder Tale.
Of course it was dangerous, but all the best guilds in any MMO are talented enough to have people doing preparations while the main raiders dominate in PvE/PvP, and some are talented enough to bash their heads through all the hardest content while doing the preparations on the sidelines.
So it's understandable, they had to get used to this new system by slaying a few low leveled creatures and doing a bout or two of PvP before being fully comfortable, but they've got more hookups than a top guild in any MMO and have had more than enough time to get through a few levels. The pace is seriously killing it, and I'm a patient man.
Log Horizon isn't a top guild though. During season one they have a couple remnants of DTP, one of which is nearly always tied up doing business for the Round Table, the other 3 level 90s includes a tank and 2 dps. That's not a really good composition for exploring new content without dying, especially in the new world.
That is a sexy forehead.
It's not just trying to get used to the new systems but actually making yourself comfortable living IN the Elder Tale, a fantasy world where they never knew can actually exist where they have to build most of technologies they know from scratch or finding an alternative failing that.
People could barely take on stuff 40 levels below them at the start and you want them to fight endgame raid content?
Most people aren't masochistic fucks that would enter those sorts of fights when pain from being hit is actually real.
There's no patch notes or even chat logs for them to read and no internet guides to check so the spread of information is severely stunted.
On top of all that who in their right mind is thinking of endgame raids when they're stranded in an alternate dimension? At the very least anyone who was capable of endgame raids is more likely to notice that they now make Bill Gates look like a pauper.
>True enough. WoW being the biggest example, the heroic gear from 85-90 lasted me until level 89 before I finally replaced my last trinket. From 90 to 100 people will be saving gear for at least 6-7 levels.
they're always op and last way longer than they should... I don't get why you dont...
>Also, this show only started out promising. Going from adventure to straight politics and fan-service makes for a severely garbage story.
oh you're a moron, nevermind
Arguable. Even if the game's based on a party system, an enhancer with a tank and the rogue alone should be more than enough to get through most quests and monster grinds. Forgetting that these are players that actually should have been called the top guild through its merits before the expansion alone, and the fact that they weren't completely composed of all the raiders there were in Debauchery Tea Party, they're still capable-enough players to be able to fly through a few levels.
True, but they've got more than enough friends to let Shiroe, Naotsugu and loli-rogue go do their thing while certain politics are handled. The whole thing really was lead astray from the genre it fell under, which is what's really disappointing me.
Any game system is just a bit of practice and making a mistake or two to find out a few tricks. A little bit of pain never hurt anybody... even though it technically has physically, but you know what I mean; less pussing around, more taking some initiative to be active while you're in this situation would honestly be more interesting. I'd actually like to see more of the levelling guilds if the main characters are going to stand around doing fuck-all.
Mastering combat in a new body capable of stuff you've never done before is not something that only takes "a bit of practice" unless you're a mary sue harem master. If you took a giant doze of magical steroids and challenged an MMA fighter to battle how do you think it would end?
>True, but they've got more than enough friends to let Shiroe, Naotsugu and loli-rogue go do their thing while certain politics are handled
You got it the other way around, Shiroe prefer to be the one handling the politics and Akibahara in general while letting Isaac guilds and West Wind Brigade, among others, to be the ones that trying to find the new contents.
Sad to say, but I don't think this story protagonist is the kind that you would like.
>If you took a giant doze of magical steroids and challenged an MMA fighter to battle how do you think it would end?
If the steroids are magical? I'm pretty sure the odds would be on my side.
I guess so. I was just hopeful to find a decent MMO anime with all the action I got in MMOs I've played.
They were magical in that got you strong enough to stand a chance instantly(as in pop the pill and suddenly muscles equivalent to an MMA fighter with no work or time to adjust to your new musculature) if you were skilled but since you don't know kung fu you just got your ass beaten in.
>less pussing around, more taking some initiative to be active while you're in this situation would honestly be more interesting.
I think forming a political body and becoming integrated into the local governments as an equal is taking far more initiative than going out to kill animals for loot.
Hopefully. Like I said, I'm patient, so I'll be sticking around next season to see where it goes.
Strong enough? I'm actually stronger than most MMA fighters. Strength only makes so much of a difference in a fight, there's also limb length, speed, reaction time, knowledge about the other fighter, and knowing the proper tactical moves to execute against a pro fighter. Now if those magical steroids came with the proper fighting knowledge, I'd stand a good chance. But you never said pro, so in that case I've used simple self-defense and boxing throughout high school to win almost every fight I've been in... almost. One guy was tall and fast enough that I got a really fucked up jaw, but he was a boxer/wrestler.
You don't really know his backstory, he could very well have a knack for it, had studied on it, all sorts of things beforehand. Plus, there was a timeskip (a few) during the story.
If you give yourself a handjob with someone's severed arm, is it masturbation?
He's ultra nerdy. He totally did study politics.
ok then. my mistake in presuming you were average unfit /a/ resident.
You have the body but absolutely no proper fighting knowledge or experience in similar situations.
That's the state these people are in. Only the people with RL practice in weapons were any good at the start. They repeatedly went out the way of pointing out that none of the people in the anime had the relevant experience for several episodes.
This is not Oh i'm in a videogame body so I can take on the top fights. This is I don't know how to properly swing a sword and have to concentrate to make a mouse click for my limit breaks, weaponskills, spells or etc while in the middle of combat they don't know how to do.
You have to manually dodge so there's no being slept and still dodging everything sent at you on a rogue. You have to actually do a decent job of proficiently using your weapon. Getting hit actually hurts, the very physics of the universe operate differently(if you aren't a monk then trying to punch probably doesn't work very well), and they have no reason to fight a Godzilla sized monster when the average player makes more in 5 minutes of work than a nobleman makes in a year. It takes weeks of travel(at minimum) just to get TO the raid site since you have to manually walk now.
You would seriously rather go to some silly fight when you could be trying to make an empire of cocaine hookers and blackjack?
>A little bit of pain never hurt anybody... even though it technically has physically, but you know what I mean
People who didn't make their characters like they were in reality couldn't even WALK properly without having balance issues. Shiroe was in the game for a week or so getting used to it and was still stumbling every so often. It took him (and Naotsugu, and Akatsuki once she took the potion) weeks to get good enough to start testing himself against stuff that would originally have been pathetically weak.
You're understating the adaption phase immensely.
Shiroe controlled the guild building.
>it kinda bothers me though how Shiroe suddenly becomes an expert in political knowledge. I mean tactics sure but politics?
One of the biggest leading diplomats in EVE Online for many years was a member of the American Foreign Service. Pic related, btw.
One of the current lead faction's managers is a high ranking member of corporate for a banking firm.
You'd be surprised at the "real lives" of a lot of MMO players, or what translates to and from the game. In LH, Isaac is a carpenter, Misa is a kindergarten teacher (which works out really well when it comes to organising D.D.D. into raids most of the time), Krusty has IIRC been implied somewhere to have some sort of military experience. Henrietta/Umeko is an accountant, Shiroe was finishing up a doctorate in engineering and did CAD work, Maryelle is a NEET (housekeeper, specifically). William Massachusetts is the guildmaster of Silver Sword, one of the top Japanese raiding guilds, and
he's only a high-school student.
If you were in the Database you would be picking your ass in a ditch somewhere while other people were taking over the world government and discovering an infinite gold exploit.
Just like in real life.
None of us are in the Akihabara server so nobody really knows what we'd be doing. I'd explore though because I'd most likely be endgame as fuck
How is she going to give herself diabetes now?
>stuck in south america's server

Also, it'd be cool to see some
capoeiristaskicking shit to death.
>All dat western Europe content
Yeah, I'm okay with this.
Such little info about Australia, other than us having the most powerful guild in the world.
Well, guess that I'd grab my friends and travel around the world, killing monsters, acquiring loot and gold, and finding new content.
The major thing to note about that pastebin is that those aren't the only cities/locations, it's just what mamare has come up with so far (or what has been mentioned in the sidestory)
next arcs are mostly action.
Akatski kills some fucker while Shiroe goes raiding with a bunch of bros.
Also the scrubs meet a vampire version of Shiroe with tits.
Also Nureha is suffering
Apart from, obviously, being the most used, is Nureha also the fluffiest?
I think her dress is just poofy and her hair a mess, not fluffy

How do they get information across continents and/or travel between them? I considered having previously friended someone but if they were different servers, that probably wouldn't have been possible. Boat?
I don't know how other people gathered info after the Catastrophe, but
KR immediately used Soul Possession and traveled the world as various summons to gather info, even running around with Kanami for a bit before finally dying.
Ah I see, it was the oksub.
The wikia actually has info on Shiroe's alt? Did she make an appearance in volume 7? I think I stopped reading the light novel for a while after I got caught up around the end of volume 5.
Wikia mainly sticks to anime-only info, and other stuff taken from oksub.
oksub has no char info on Roe2 because she doesn't have a info page yet in the novels (I hope book 8 has one for her).
>Straight Panties, guild that only wears panties on the lower half of their bodies. Made up of various races, but mainly werecats.
Why does the Japanese server hate fun? other servers are having massive amounts of pvp and roleplaying while the japanese server just has festivals and paperwork
I watched the first season a couple months ago and I really loved it. Where do I go from here?
He's annoyed. He's just putting up with the bitch's antics because she's the fucking healer. Don't you just hate it when you just have to put up just because the bitch is the fucking support?
Like any self respecting group is letting some random guy be maintank instead of the guild tank. Especially so considering Nao retired before the expansion and had out of date gear so he has no recent rep concerning his gear/skill to spend.
The fact that he was allowed to be a sub tank is impressive.
Which is why he got in as a sub tank. If some dude walks up with "decent" gear while our main tank is pimped out in one of a kind gear do you really think the new guy is going to get setup as main tank? Fuck no to that.

And that's just 20 of the 80 available classes in the game.
Nah it was supposed to be this summer.
>Q) When is CBT by the way? It is now summer
>A) Ever since our FGT was over, we focused on the development so that we can launch CBT within this year’s summer, but more time was needed than we had expected on the overall balancing of the game so we think CBT will be delayed a bit. When the date for CBT gets confirmed, we will announce it to all of you via TOS and Developers’ Blog so please kindly understand for the delay.
I think I remember some of the classes are for roleplaying.
Not sure, haven't really been keeping up with it.
>Q4) What type of classes are available in this game?
>A4) When you first create your character, you can choose among swordsman, wizard, archer and cleric which are four basic classes. These characters will grow as their levels increase and the basic classes can be switched to upper classes within each class.
Anyways, Developer's blog for those interested.
Yes, this is exactly what I want. Too many games with summoner classes restrict them to one summon at a time. I've always missed classes like the Necro from Diablo 2 and Guild Wars where you could have dozens of summons at once.
Same way as Nazuna.
Plus, she probably spends most nights on her back anyway, so she has plenty of time to rest her back.
I believe hie's talking about Centurion.
>Q) I saw an introduction about Centurion class from the last post. It looks very interesting, but I have some worries that it may be misused on bots, farms, trollings or etc. Do you have any plans to avoid these?
>A) ‘Formation’ skill will not make the game confusing since this skill will not be maintained for a long time after using it. You use this skill when you feel you need it, and you stop using it after achieving your objective. We don’t worry about it that much inside our development team.
Sure, I'm ok. Cold never bothers me anyway
Any information on enemies up here in the frozen tundra?
I'm aware of that. Soloing stuff makes it really hard to get to endgame content in the first place. Endgame content for me is fairly easy stuff for a non-retarded group.
>- Carpathian Mountains (Romania), an area modeled after Bram Stoker's "Dracula" and the holy land of vampire legends. At the peak lies the impregnable castle known as "Castlevania".

>It is said that a new area would be opened up with the release of the "Homesteading the Noosphere" expansion.
A dungeon that's never been conquered? Dracula?
I'm sold. Get the stakes and holy water, let's do this.
as a fa/tg/uy browsing /a/, its pretty dang fun. Waiting for my GM to continue my game.
its really simple don't worry about it.
I maaaay come in a thread sometime in the next month and ask if people want to play if there isn't a game from my GM by then.
Or Undead hunter, or follower of the sun god.
> Also the scrubs meet a vampire version of Shiroe with tits.
That reminds me, who's the girl with
Roe2in this image? I'm pretty sure I previously learned who she is, but I'm blanking on it.
From what I remember, the Vampire subclass used to be really popular because of all its bonuses but then it got nerfed by daytime debuffs so it lost its popularity.
The players should have been grateful the devs didn't just make sunlight exposure be instadeath.
Shit, it is Dariella. Now I feel stupid.
I was thinking more about your sire vampire could control you since if that goes far back enough and depending on the npc that gives the subclass the vampires in that castle might be able to mind control you.
I'd probably just become a sage. I memorize the mechanics of most games I play, so I'd just sit in town and answer questions for noobs.
Though I guess the supply of noobs will run out one day.
Nah, I'd go do that Cthulhu quest at the bottom of the Marianas Trench. Then get it as a summon.
Why is it that the Summoner class seems to be flat-out the coolest and most versatile? I mean, you've got fun shit like Undine, waifu-bait like Sword Princess, necromancy, phoenixes, titans, giants, lovecraftian abominations, oozes, dragons, wyverns, and so much more.
Because the game devs actually took the time to make lots and lots of different summons available? It's like how in the official version of Ragnarok Online you can only make certain creatures your pet but then various private servers expand the pet list to most mobs.
(And in the post-World Fraction world, there are probably even more summons available because beyond quests there are probably creatures out there just living their lives that you can go find and convince to make a contract with you, though the journey to find them would pretty much be a quest in itself.)
The players on the Australian server are currently doing this with dragons, attempting to catch and tame them to ride. Because dragons. They haven't fully succeeded yet, but they're definitely getting there.
Holy shit you would be my gods.
I'm usually too shy to ask anyone questions, so I kind of stumble through shit blindly until i figure it out. Having a single human
Databaseto talk to for information would be great.
It would after the apocalypse. also- reminder that leveling to 90 only took around 80 hours for half decent players. Gear is the hard shit to obtain.
>faith in humanity
I have none, it's why I'm shy. People are fucking crazy fuckers, especially when it comes to the internet. I don't like talking to crazy people.
Haseo's first venture into The World comes to mind.
/i don't know about all of you fags, but all I ever wanted was to be the one that danced with Henrietta and her super bard abilities. Even without them I want to be the one that danced with her.
Well, think about how crazy their overworld must be, let alone the dungeons.
I'm scared of 3 places in log horizon
Purely because there's so much fucking space. Perfect for exactly your pic to roam around fucking adventurers up.
True. I figured Siberia was a bit more populated though. Probably wrong. I also forgot the area above the Mariana Trench.
>Canadians not skinning and eating raid bosses alive upon finding out they Dont have access to hockey in our world.
No, I really didn't.
>>Canadians not skinning and eating raid bosses alive upon finding out they Dont have access to hockey in our world.
The first thing they did was probably putting together hockey teams and playing hardcore with their adventurer bodies.
Oh, I'd to far better in log horizon as well.
Being able to beat things up constantly and get paid actual gold for it? Glorious. I'd be happy as fuck.
Though, like I said before, I'm a solo player, so you'd probably do much better then I would in the scheme of things.
I always found it weird how a Bard supports their party with songs
I wasn't among the best
in WoWbut I was still good.
I enjoy working in a team but can also do my own thing.
>You will never be apart of a group of badass Aussies who just take the piss with everything but still get results.
Haven't you ever been in a boss battle and you're just narrowly dodging swipes and looking for a weakspot and you ask yourself: "This could really use some boss battle music"
Boom, Bardbro with the tunes
Not same guy, but holy shit I never even thought of that. Why have I never thought of that.
Hah, your interests are the opposite of mine
I just wanna annihilate my enemies and learn lore.
I'd go only dps myself. More pure killing power that way.
Here ya go, man. I got like... everything. I should stop saving log horizon stuff.
Man, I love learning Lore in things. Love it when the devs actually go super deep into it that it's like finding a lost world
that's what i meant by sightseeing. Enjoying the sights and going on adventures while finding lost things. Lore hunting is fun
>ET Baton Rouge or ET DFW
'm not even sure what the fuck I'd be in for.
Did Mamare put ANY references to WoW, or even EQ, in LH? For being the most influential MMO out there (for better or worse), there really aren't any references to it. Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough.
That WoD cinematic was amazing. Too bad the game is complete garbage now.
They're counterweights for their tails!
I dont want modern weaponry.
I want to literally cut, rip, and tear my enemies into pieces. See blood, feel their body crumple in death.
Shit like that. Combat is fun for adventurers, not a chore.
They need more battle priests
I find your idea intriguing, and wish to subscribe to your newsletter.
I'd probably go into blacksmitting now that i think about it
Though, no guns. We're in fantasy land. More hack and slashing, shield bashing, arrow shooting, magic blasting fantasy
Oh, no doubt. I'd take berserker, 100%.
I've literally bitten, clawed, and taken chunks out of skin from people in fights before, and laugh when I'm in serious pain.
I've literally creeped people out so much they tried to stop fighting me. I try to not get into fights anymore, but I was a crazy fucker back in high school.
Capoeira was designed as simulation of a dance by the local slaves, in order to fool their masters so they could practice their art. Or so they say, I mean, I'm not a capoeirista myself.
although still non-canon, the subclass does grant some skills as well. Google doc lists 3 of them:
Crush Tempest: A strong 3-5 hit consecutive hit skill only learnable by those with Warrior-type main class.
Brute (?) Stance: A stance skill that negates evasion in exchange of increased attack power. Also warrior-type main class only.
Death Drive: Ignores damage and bad status for a certain time and allows action in exchange of changing your target priorities to based on "those near to you" (includes allies)
My RPG group (yes, I'm from /tg/) will be starting a new campaign soon, and we're looking at a different system. I'm planning on recommending we try the Log Horizon TTRPG one.
Huh, really? I have the doc saved, and somehow I didn't notice them. New addition?
How is tera?
It needs a lot of fleshing out, but its pretty simple. Everyone should know everything in about a couple days just reading the release doc, or an afternoon in person with someone explaining things as you go along.
Gimme a sec, I have a /tg/ thread i was in saved with the information that has been saved so far.
>How is tera?
The fight system is absolutely amazing, but the endgame can become a bit too repetitive very quickly, especially if you want to grind gear to have a chance against autists in PVP.
Here you go.
Translated game stuff so far. pretty simple, if you read the release doc, or even skim it.
Here's the character sheet, as I'm not sure its in the thread
I worry about neither of these things.
Never make it to endgame, and hate PVP because autists.
Can I solo it? I forgot it existed, might check it out.
Thank you, i can wait for Databasing with my friends
Almost forgot. Here's a better character sheet if you can print it out. Other three pages of the same nice looking stuff for playing with aren't translated yet, sadly.
<Followers/Disciples of Sun God>
One of the faith-type subclass for people who shows deep faith in a particular deity and received said deity's divine protection. Also called the Servant class. You can change into this subclass by completing quests related to temples across the land.
As a basic ability, it allows illumination magic to be used without limitation, but it also gives penalty to covert actions. Various sun-related abilities like sun, fire, light related abilities/bonus effect, anti-undead ability or resistance to poison and illness, the light-attribute (Shiny Smite) attack skill which imbues weapon with sun's power can be obtained. Although the powers are varied, individually their effects are weak, in case of anti-undead effect the specialised slayer-type <Undead Hunter> far excels.
(Remaining paragraphs are flavour/meta info rather than the ability of the class.)
Servant/Disciple type class is judged to be geared for newbies who use it as stopgap subclass while they work on harder to obtain subclasses due to the ease of obtaining this class and their varied though relatively weaker abilities.
But, there are people who continue to take this sub-class seriously especially mainly for moe female gods or handsome male gods, etc
Other than Sun God Disciple there are a myriad of Servant/Disciple subclasses for other category of gods like battle, earth, order, art, wisdom, love, etc.
And how as a delicate matter of religion/faith and ET being a worldwide game, there are strict guidelines placed in the setting/lore of the game.
Even regarding sub-classes which can be independently created by the regional management/admin companies, the limitation on faith-based sub-classes is due to
Atarva company which has decided them to be a generic world-wide subclass and has forbidden modifications or additions of server-original abilities and classes.
It's actually missing a few, but yeah. add 4-10 more /glassadjust in there, you got your count.
She -is- the courtesan subclass.
It's kind of what they do.
It's high class whoring, yeah, but it's still whoring at the end of the day.
She's literally a whore IRL. Her mom sold her on dates for cash. Some weird Japanese thing.
She was a
literal whore in real life. Her mother used to whore her out as a child prostitute, and she started playing Elder Tale as a form of escapism. She was in a party with Shiroe once, and he told her that she was a good Enchanter. This immediately got her wetter than a fire hydrant, and ever since she's wanted him like some crazy yandere. The anime toned it down so she was just "invisible" in real life and that nobody noticed her, hence Elder Tale escapism, until Shiroe said she was a good player once when they met, which accomplished the same fire hydrant purpose. Ironically, the anime also made it so that he didn't remember the encounter.
Whether she was
actually a whore in Elder Tale is unlikely, because Mamare did come here specifically to say that she's more akin to a courtesan (in the older, medieval sense) than a prostitute. While sex can be a part of what she does, it doesn't have to, although she was definitely offering to be Shiroe's sex toy at the end of Vol 5, in addition to appealing to his intellectual-boner. People still call her a whore anyway.
Basically what this guy >>112589568
says, with the addendum of she was really plain, and nobody cared for her even in Elder tale. Shiroe was one of very few enchanters, and really really good at noticing small details, so he'd actually noticed she had potential, but other people are just like "eh".
Aw, but they're cute child-like dates, aren't they? I mean, who would see a cute kid sexually?
I, for one, am relieved that it was such a nice condition that she had to live in.
She had potential to be, but she wasn't one yet.
Exactly why she was ignored.
...what the fuck are you smoking, bro
and give me some. It's not even close to cute childlike dates.
No, guys. Come on. Are you guys implying that they went on sexual dates with a child? I think you guys are mistaken because that doesn't exist in the real world.
>says, with the addendum of she was really plain, and nobody cared for her even in Elder tale.
Useless in the old world, useless in Elder Tale. No wonder she needs Indicus to make sure she does what she's told.
She's a whore, anon. A child whore.
As someone who also never makes it to end game or does PVP, Tera has a great combat system, but the quest system sucks dick.
You're led around by the nose through quest markers in a linear path through the themepark setpieces of the game. You'll quickly realize reading quest descriptions is pointless and figure out that everything is just grind in the form of fetch quests.
Oh, and actual grinding is worthless because all your xp comes from quests.
Also every weapon you pick up will be made worthless by a free overpowered weapon they just give to you for some reason.
They never teamed up, he just noticed she wasn't awful like other enchanters are.
Nureha isn't going to win the shiroebowl, I'm betting on her killing herself or sacrificing herself for something.
When Elder Tales was just a game, the Japanese server had about 80,000 players, but as far as Shiroe knew, only 2,000 were level 90 Enchanters.
In MMORPGs, the Adventurers of the same class would take note of each other.
What were their equipment? How were they building their character? How were they fighting? Since it was a game, the best research subjects for building your character and using techniques were players in similar positions. It might sound greedy, but you could learn more from players who were better than you.
This was a common perspective when playing a game.
The Adventurers who joined major guilds to find excellent equipment after completing raids as well as Adventurers who researched battle tactics only made up a small number. If you limited this to Enchanters, the number was about a 100. Since it was only a 100, it was possible to know all their names.
Shiroe knew about all the high level enchanters in Japan's server, so he was aware of Nureha.
Nureha was similar to Shiroe, an Enchanter who chose not to join any guilds. Enchanters who took part in major raids despite not being in any large guilds were rarer than the Iriomote cat that was on the brink of extinction. They must have met 2 or 3 times before, an industry of 100 was small for a veteran player like Shiroe.
>As someone who also never makes it to end game or does PVP, Tera has a great combat system, but the quest system sucks dick.
Tera had the spatial mechanics for exceedingly great PvP combat but ultimately is soiled by reliance on numbers gear.
>because of her tragic past as a child prostitute she is top mmo player
I am actually glad the anime changed this.
what? She's not a top player. She's just good at being a courtesan. She creamed herself when someone told her she had potential to get good, to she got tried to get good to get some dick, not because of her tragic past.
>- Black Hills (South Dakota: Mount Rushmore National Memorial Park), a sacred place for the indigenous people. The region has yet to be recaptured from the army or subhumans now occupying the land, but native landers are doing their best to rally a force to take back the area. In addition, there is said to be a huge vein of gold in this land.
>She's just good at being a courtesan.
>because she is a prostitute she is going to be top courtesan in an mmo
I'll take the invisible one better because at least that surmises she actually throws hours into the game.
Avatar weapons was what they were called. They dwarfed all the weapons at the same level and you get them by just killing garbage monsters which you have to do to complete quests anyways.
I aint denying shit. She's not a top player. She just isn't completely retarded. 100 people out of 2000 isn't "top players" its "I actually know how to play this class". It only takes 80 hours to get to lvl 90 on average, which is nothing for most MMOS, to the point you can still be a noob at that time. example-
>rookie party is level 30.
>Completely fail at "If i attack an enemy, they will come after me"
What? no. also, who says she's a top ;)
I'm saying she knows how to manipulate people, and actually tried to learn and grow as a player for manipulation and her class.
She's like 20, yeah.
>He's not even sexually interested in Akatsuki.
Didn't Henrietta stop going after him because she thinks hes more interested in the younger Akatsuki or Minori and that she is too old?
Fun fact- Minor(i) is 14.
It was mainly in volume 1 and 2, Shiroe describes how he feels about Henrietta and her glasses. And then he stopped getting development with her, though then she started getting her feelings about him developed.
>proper lady feeling inferior to children
Really? Hm. /a/ isn't my usual hangout, guess you guys hate it more. The whole "who says she's a top" bit combined with the emoticon was sarcasm. Failed attempt to be lewd, I guess.
>want to play an MMO with a focus on playing in a party, particularly during leveling and not just for end-game stuff, as I love playing support
>every popular MMO now-a-days is so solo-focused that until you hit end-game it may as well be a single-player game
Thanks for clearing that up. I was recalling what the anime had said. The novels do really seem to have a darker spin on things. Also wasn't courtesan always basically just an escort?
A doesn't like emoticons except for ;-; (preferably spoilered) and occasionally in certain threads or during cetain times, but very rarely are :< and :3
Lurk moar b4 making jokes in a new board. Spoonfeeding because I'm too cozy to be negative right now.
I wish it were sustainable for an MMO to have a focus on exploration instead of endless raiding and PvP. I've had way more fun slipping through the cracks and exploring non-playable areas together with a bunch of friends than I've ever had trying to PvP or raid with a bunch of pissy esports prima donnas. Buggy beta tests are far more fun than the actual game, because no one cares about petty shit like gear and ranks. Sadly, we'll never get an MMO like Elder Tale, because it's just too damn expensive to make an interesting world at that scale.
That's not the kind of stuff he's talking about. GW2's "exploration" is just checking off places from a checklist.
Go to this Vista. Check.
Go to this point of interest. Check.
It turns exploration into a chore rather than an experience.
Also, I'll be running a game at a local con, so I'm gonna try to finish the Log Ticket tomorrow. Should be fairly quick, since it has far less on it.
You said 4 things though -- what are the other 2 things? I was only aware of the Chara sheet and Log ticket needing translation.
>The Adventurers who joined major guilds to find excellent equipment after completing raids as well as Adventurers who researched battle tactics only made up a small number. If you limited this to Enchanters, the number was about a 100.
It's not just high level Enchanters, but high level Enchanters with Raid-level equipment experienced in planning out battle tactics, since Enchanters sole purpose is to provide support magic and mana in raid battles.
- Dungeon at the bottom of the Mariana Trench that requires a ton of special items, contracts, and other requirements to even attempt. At the end is an altar-like rock that can be used to "summon" something.
If only mmo players could handle underwater zones.
the other things are the log ticket, hate paper, and the combat map, technically. You can still use the latter two, just the small amount of text being in english would be nice.
Given concerns about having enough material for 2 cours, what possible filler would you like to see?
Assuming chronological order, most of the WWB stuff should be out, but I could see them expanding on the earlier raid bosses and the dungeon in general. Kanami stuff is also possible
Seishirou killing the first player.
Isaac going on a raid to hit Level 95, featuring Giraffe-tan.
Krusty and Misa attacking Goblin camps and uncovering their
all-new training grounds.
Henrietta pining for Shiroe. More than in the books.
