LoGH does well, some Gundams are nice. Really though if you're looking for pretty space wallpapers just go download an EVE online dump sometime.
Real space isn't pretty unless you're using a fuckhuge telescope with some interesting filtering.
Yeah I know that video games do it pretty well. Also real space looks pretty if you're far enough away from light pollution and it's a new moon. You can see the glow of the milky way.

Yeah, it can be pretty good looking, but nothing with the naked eye compares to the stuff that Hubble pulls down, or that something like Space Engine can render.

I've done the same, except in rural New South Wales where it's so flat you can see the curvature of the Earth.

Agreed, although the fact that they colour in the photos jades me against them for some reason. However, I still like the pillars of creation photos.
