You know, I think they could do it without much fuss. Blood and swears removed, and you could just say that Kamina had to go back to Giha due to his injuries and went on to fight Beastmen by himself. They'd have to end it at Lordgenome, who would fall off his tower as the Shadow Realm took back the power it had given him, which is why there'd be a big black haze over his chest after the fight.
