I've been messing around with these things for a while and I'm wondering if anyone has shared a library of particle presets to get started with.

Making a particle from scratch is pretty time consuming and I can't help but think someone has already made convincing looking water already.

I found some example scenes in there. It doesn't look like they provide basic particle presets though.

I guess I could grab some of the parameters from these scenes but it would also be nice to have a preset library...

Check the youtube video called maya mondays on nparticles. He offers some presets. Try also creative crash.

Are you talking about mental memory, or system RAM? In the case of system RAM, Bifrost is cached to disk, not RAM.

I was talking about RAM. Recently got a new machine for production and was testing some of the demo scenes from the Visor in Maya. Tried the tsunami one with bifrost, loading 88 frames took over 10 GB of RAM. I didn't save the cached sim to test if it would open and take less memory tho.
