I'm not expecting the rewards any time soon at this point, but I am still waiting for mikkoukun to put out a full demo. The first one did a good job of showing off the voices and some of the characters, but it didn't really show off much else (or anything even vaguely NSFW).

Mikkoukun did mention that he was having trouble with their previous programmer on thier major update. It's also probably the reason why this demo was held back for a while. 1) Something, something, work ethics disagreement. Plus, I think Mikkoukun had to do a lot of legwork (if not all of it) for Bacchikoi when it was supposed to be a group effort. Zamius left to work with Mikkoukun as well, so that's also probably a bit of a sore spot.
2) Agreed. I think Maz's game will appeal to people who prefer older love interests and bara, but I think Mikkou's will probably be the more polished product overall based on what we've seen so far. Also, it seems to have a better "vision" or at least a more realized one.

The official word was something to do disagreements between the team and basically some generic "creative differences" excuse as I recall. Really, from what we're seeing since the split it seems like it was likely that Maz was a shitty boss/co-worker and overall a bit lazy probably which caused fighting among the group. Mikkoukun definitely has better design, but I'm not sure if he has better anatomy. Sometimes it works out really well but other times it's just weird. Mazjojo is generally pretty dependable, but particularly with his Full Service stuff he tends to do a lot of crazy angles.

They both have their pros and cons, but I'm looking forward to both of their games. I just wish Mikkoukun would stop tacking on additional work (if you want to do all this ambitious shit, do it in an expansion!). Also feel pretty unfulfilled with this demo. It works nicely but with very little NSFW content it just feels like a lot of reading with little payload that's not going to come out for another year or more.

That said, I really like the dynamic that Hiro and Yoichi have going. I find Yoichi's personality to be the most endearing overall (the love-able cunt). However, Hiro's still best boy, just a bit clingy.

So I would say this is not some 'creative difference' bs but some personal thing about his members. Even the now closed BMP website only had his name, we didn't even get to hear the other artists' side and just assumed that whatever Maz said is true.

Man, I don't really like Taiga or Eduard's voices. I know Eduard's meant to be annoying but it doesn't suit him at all aside from the camp tone. Taiga's just doesn't work for me and something about the delivery sounds lazier than the others. Lee's is ok but it sounds too much like a girl trying way too had to sound like a guy rather than a girl who naturally sounds boyish (but I like the VA's voice for Yuri, the squeals are more amusing than I thought they'd be).

At least the mains and the adults sound good. That's really what matters. I hope Seto and Felix sound alright too, if only to have less things to be annoyed about.

Oh lol, it always feels weird when you get to directly talk to someone who has a presence in the actual game that you like. That said, I do like Keitaro's voice too. The only things I don't are some of the name pronunciations, it usually sucks when English VAs pronounce Japanese names. That's the only thing I wish all the VAs focused on. Yoichi and Taiga are really quiet throughout the whole demo. Aiden's, however, is fucking spot on so far. Figures since it's Sean Chiplock~

...On that subject, what makes you say you like these particular projects if there are this many BL projects you both work on? What is it about BL that makes you wanna be a part of it as much?

Also, I'd have to say that 90% of the community are whiny fags who just wanna bitch at everything. Well, I have minor and major complaints, I'll just address the ones that aren't too picky. During the Demo when the segment of Day 1&2, 6, and 7 end it basically fades out in a black screen making you confused, until you realize Day 1&2 of the demo ended.

Also some choices are pretty meaningless and end in the same outcome (6&7), but oh well. I had the same problem with P5.

That's pretty much it. Loved it for the most part.

Well when it comes to voicing the game and pronunciation, when I direct I like very very precise Japanese so I try my best when I have control. But as for what Mikko wants, it depends on what he wants us to pronounce it like. Whether it be right or wrong is another story. I shall forward the ending complaints and the ones on volume (which I'm fixing right now for him). Thanks for your critiques!!!
