*sigh* every now and again, there's one of these threads. here's what always happens: people yell back and forth over what exactly the rules of the board are, people keep slightly editing the sticky and never agree on a final version, and then someone derails the thread. people keep getting butthurt until the thread stops bumping, it gets archived, and then someone who is either a newfag or just somehow missed the last one, makes another and we start over. oldfags, did i miss anything?

And if people aren't willing to contribute to 1 image threads, they're not going to contribute to 10+ image threads. It's not the OP's responsibility to entertain you, or educate you by providing sources. It's an invitation to share images of a given subject - you don't have to participate.
It's like building sandcastles, everyone can pile on to it but eventually they all wash away.

Hm actually it is the OP's responsibility to not clutter the board with useless shit. Without a rule like that this board would be half full of assholes posting one image threads and asking for more of it without being to provide anything themselves. If you're going to start a thread and bump an older thread off board then you should at least take the time to provide some content replacement.

Also, I think 5 images to start a thread is a good number. High enough to show some effort but low enough to take into consideration that sometimes there's not a ton of easily findable content.

Summerfags clutter up a board like none other. A sticky to just give newbs an easily accessible run down of how not to be a fuckwad is really helpful. Even if we just keep bumping it ourselves.
