I ended up choosing a husband by a process of elimination, though.

Alex is hot, but he seems too unapproachable to me with all that /fit/ talk. Talking to Sam feels like talking to a teenage boy so I could never see him as a potential romance option. Sebastian is more on the angsty teenager phase, but at least I can relate with parents not taking my computer-related job seriously.
Elliot is just weird, and Harvey doesn't have an interesting story, though I like the concept of a socially awkward older guy.
So yeah, while I don't find Shane too attractive, his story was the one that caught my attention.

Alex starts out as a hot guy but is also a jerk. As you talk to him more he begins to warm up to you. His dialogue isn't too interesting pre-marriage life but he ends up being a sweet guy, wants to bang, and actually helps out with the farm. Shame he's a stay at home dad.

Sebestian I romanced and he kinda creeped me out during the marriage so I divorced him after a few weeks. Guy was also practically never home until super late. Talking wasn't really interesting and just felt angsty.

Sam feels like you're dating a teen. You'd think he'd be more responsible during marriage but it just feels like you're hanging out with him rather than married to him.

Harvey didn't appeal to me
Shane is a mess
Elliot is sweet but a bit weird with his words

There aren't too many guys to choose from outside the bachelors. Wish there was some more options or they had more personality. Guess we'll see what the sequel holds.

I went with Alex. He's a dick at first but was one of the first characters to warm up to me in my game. And his story is pretty sad, so it's interesting to romance him.

I went for Elliott my first playthrough because I have a thing for dudes with long hair, and I liked how romantic he was. But as I went through I found Alex to be a lot more my type lol. So, when the update came out I made a new game and married him instead.
