just a quick guide since I saw more than 10 threads in the first 4 pages that were started with work safe /cm/ material.
It's not hard to get porn from a series you like, save us time by at least trying to look for a image worthy to start your thread
thank you kami-sama we will all do our best to obey the law set down by you, no one else has ever tried to do this before so we thank you for being unique
all sarcasm aside, OP is right, blah blah, /cm/ is for /cm/, furry is for /b/, shota is for 7chan, post gay porn here
i think this means it's time for another random porn thread
Exactly, it's not that hard to just go to pixiv and search for a /y/ related pic to post. There's way to much /cm/ on this board and not enough porn.
I know others have tried, but we used to keep a thread going for deleting miss posts and that seemed to help cut down on miss posts before the site got the upgrade. Maybe this can at least help cut it down some
Gay couples are fine on /cm/ as long as the images are worksafe. Explicit content belongs on /y/
Where would borderline material fit in this equation?
If male content was allowed on /e/, I'd say that, but...
There's some content that just doesn't have a board. I don't visit other boards very much, but that's not just a /y/ and /cm/ problem.
According to /e/'s rules, they ban "western art" (by which they really mean series not from Asia), but I don't know that there's any other board where you could post non-sexual nude pics of female characters from "western" series.
Bump since dumb noob shit on the front page again.
Well yeah, but it's not technically a "4chan" board. I just meant within this one system.
If we're talking every board on the net, there's a place for absolutely everything, I'm sure, even non/y/-non/cm/ content.
You mentioned gelbooru... I looked for it - the link is obvious in google - and it's locked because of child porn?? Sorry but, wth? I love yaoi, but if this site really had pornos with children, then it's locked for good...
I'm way more annoyed by the countless request threads, shota pictures, furry, emoticons and the permanent bumps without content than the /cm/ pictures.
Let's get some obvious erect genitals in here
Even if you have nothing related to bump with, do post a random porn pic. It's always more appreciated than emptiness!!
Does this artist still post his/her yaoi anywhere on the Internet anymore?
I recently found an old CD-R of lots of old yaoi I burned a long, long, long time ago and found that person's art on it. Picture related.
Well, we do have a whole other board for worksafe content. /u/ posts both worksafe and nws art, but /u/ has no /cm/ equivalent board to back it up. /c/ is almost all het couples and solo pics; very little yuri.
The image in OP's post needs to be stickied to /y/ forever.
Yes. Until stickied it shall be bumped daily forever. ;.;
(Including how to use the catalog. I mean seriously I love the Free! thread but every couple days I see an extra one because someone doesn't know how to use the catalog.)
When this one gets to autosage I'll try to edit in something about the catalog when I repost the thread. Also someone tried posting Futas earlier tits = no go. That needs to be added.
Any more changes needed to the first post image?
Well as for changes, yeah I suppose just mainly add to tell people to check the catalog before posting.
But since some people don't seem to understand, I guess be specfic about when SFW becomes NSFW and when NSFW becomes lewd enough to be posted here, if it isn't lewd enough already. If that makes sense
Like for instance this picture. I mean it's clearly NSFW but it's not exactly too lewd either. (I don't even know myself if there's enough of him showing to be posted here myself, actually...)
Not sure if that made much sense or if that's a good idea so forgive me if not.
I'm not gonna lie, I haven't even made it that far in HxH to see Pitou. But I understand there's some gender confusion with her/him?
This rules thread is shit and the people it addresses never read it but I wouldn't be opposed to a short sticky telling people that they shouldn't start threads without contributing at least a few board related pictures.
/y/ will never get a sticky though.
Here's what I have so far for the next version of this thread. What do you gu/y/s think of it? does it need rewording? How are the examples?
Way too much. Only important things are: Check the catalog and start a new thread with several board related pictures.
Because that is the problems we have. People starting either duplicate threads or threads with just one picture (which pretty much means they are just request threads). That's the stuff clogging up the board and wasting space.
Sure sometimes shota, /cm/ and futa pops up but it doesn't really seem to be such a big problem compared to the 'xyz thread? I didn't find anything please help me' shit.
Nobody is going to read the super long text on your picture, especially not people who don't give a shit about lurking before posting. The only people who will read that much are the ones who know about that stuff anyways.
Okay time to bump this motherfucker up for there are some newfags here who don't know the difference between hugs and sex.
Pretty sure someone's brought this up, but there should be a board that's that in between. /e/ is basically not so hentai but not exactly plain cute. There are times when art for /y/ is just at that not quite porn but too much for /cm/. Pic slightly related.
what are the rules regarding FtM/transmen/cuntboys?
If I can't post it on /cm/ it goes here. My bare ass pictures got deleted on /cm/ as well a while ago but luckily I didn't get banned for them so I just posted them here on /y/ without any problems. I guess nudity even without a direct few on an asshole and/or a dick does belong on /y/.
im a different person so no i wasnt told a few hours ago
for example this picture, though not technically explicit and only depicting kissing seems like it should be on /y/.
how about we just let people use their best judgement and not jump down their throats and be nasty cunts if we happen to disagree? and like someone said before, yotsuba style means nsfw allowed, not nsfw only. it's only all the self-appointed Arbiters of Allowed Content on this board who really seem to have a stick up their ass about what people post and try to enforce that.
>how about we just let people use their best judgement and not jump down their throats and be nasty cunts if we happen to disagree? and like someone said before, yotsuba style means nsfw allowed, not nsfw only. it's only all the self-appointed Arbiters of Allowed Content on this board who really seem to have a stick up their ass about what people post and try to enforce that.
Then why are janiptors deleting /cm/ pictures when they get reported?
There's a difference between reporting a picture you don't think belongs and going about your day and going out of your way to be a cunt to the person who posted it, is my point. If indeed you are correct, it will end up getting deleted anyway.
and fuck I wish sage still worked
>how about we just let people use their best judgement
>posting pic totally acceptable on /cm
No, let's not.
You (and many others) seem to think that all BL belongs on /y. You're wong.
If you want to post pics of 2 guys kissing, go to /cm. It's allowed, and people will appreciate your contribution.
/y is for explicit stuff. That's what the people on this board are here for. If we want /cm, we know where to find it.
Yet you're trying to turn /y into a 2nd /cm and surpised were not happy with that.
>for example this picture, though not technically explicit and only depicting kissing
>not explicit, only kissing
If you know what's expected here, than why post stuff that doesn't belong here, and nobody here is waiting for?
Everyone nderstands that explicit sex between two guys doesn't belong on /cm.
Than why is it so hard to understand that non-explicit stuff doesn't belong on /y?
1) All yaoi, unless otherwise noted, is allowed. This includes bara.
2) This board is for animated content only. Images depicting "real" people will be removed.
These are the rules. If you (and many others) want your own rules, make your own board. Otherwise everyone post what they want within those parameters (which DOES include BL and non-explicit content) and everyone else shut the fuck up and sage/report if your spiteful little heart so desires it.
The keyword is actually "is allowed." Notice how nothing as stated in those rules forbids the posting of non-yaoi or non-explicit images. The only stipulation is that they be "animated content."
Until they change the rules you and anyone else who feels like they're a self-appointed mod on this board have no authority to tell people they can't post kissing, BL, whatever.
>Yaoi is, by definition, explicit.
This isn't even true. Also holy shit commas.
how dense can someone be? We have two boards for a reason, if it can't be posted in /cm/ it belongs here and viceversa. Or can't your brain process the existence of two separate boards?
It's just yet another example of the IF YOU DONT POST EXACTLY WHAT I LIKE ITS AGAINST THE RULES delusion plaguing this board.
Are you underage? Not joking. Honest question. Maybe you're new to the old Japanese terms, I don't see them used so much these days.
Yaoi is explicit by its definition. If it isn't explicit, it's not yaoi. It's shonen-ai. BL stands for "boy's love" and it's a new word people use after being annoyed by the Japanese terms because sometimes a canon can be difficult to classified. BL is for anything boy/boy no matte the rating.
This board is call /y/ for yaoi. No, yaoi doesn't include non-explicit content. You're changing the meaning of the word to fit your own demands.
Can your brain not process words written in sentences describing the rules of posting images on this board?
Because that's what it seems like.
Woah, ok, calm down. I was asking because I didn't know it was a thing, and I do think it's a bit ridiculous.
But I do agree with op. Usually I don't mind bumping all BL together, but 4chan has TWO boards specifically to make the distinction. Use them. It's not crying. It's like going to /v/ and trying to start a Pokémon thread or going to /co/ wanting to talk about MLP. They'll tell you to go to your own boards. This is how 4chan works.
I'm not changing the meaning of the word. The meaning of the word is actually irrelevant. What is relevant is the fact that it merely "is allowed" on this board, which doesn't explicitly or even implicitly forbid the posting of other content. Are you illiterate? Honest question. It's not really that obscure of a point to grasp.
/an/'s rules don't say I can't post anime there, obviously that means I can!
Stop being an idiot. All boards as first rule indicate what goes in that board. /y/ is for yaoi, and as the other anons said, yaoi equals explicit in the definition of the word.
Let me copy some of tge other boards' first rules to you.
>All images of animals and nature are welcome.
>Pictures depicting those in costume play ("cosplay") and elegant gothic lolita ("EGL") dress are welcome.
>All weaponry is welcome.
They use words like "is welcome" which, like is "is allowed", is pretty much telling you what the board is about. You post that thing in that board. You post yaoi in /y/, what's difficult to get about that?
Pokemon threads are allowed on and still do occur on /v/ just fine.
The rules explicitly state any MLP discussion should be in /mlp/ only
Not really relevant examples.
I admit I haven't been to /v/ in a while, so maybe they've calmed down. But when the Pokémon board was created everyone would quickly send you to it.
But anyway, does it in /co/'s rules say MLP is not allowed? No. But people won't post there BECAUSE IT HAS ITS OWN BOARD.
When you come to 4chan, you have a topic in mind, and you must choose the right board for it. Anime discussion goes to /a/. Music goes to /m/. Origami goes to /po/. And guess what, shonen-ai belongs to /cm/.
And you know what's crazy if you go on any of those boards and post a picture that doesn't happen to have an an animal, cosplay or weapon in it, no one goes into a psychological meltdown and tries to evict you from the board. Enforcing rules is one thing but you should first make sure they actually fucking exist.
I won't deny that going crazy over it it's a little too much, but I don't mind the discussion in its own thread instead of shitting up the generals.
The rules exist. Each board has as first rule an explanation of what goes in that board. /y/ is for yaoi. Yaoi by definition is explicit.
that's because those boards are faster moving, so off topic threads last a couple of days at most and then everyone forgets about them. Here the posts stay for weeks unless reported, occupying board space that would be better used in actual board related things.
>shonen-ai belongs to /cm/
I agree with you. But IF I have a topic I want to discuss and some images I want to dump that include both explicit and non, it would be fucking batshit retarded of me to have to make 2 separate threads on 2 separate boards. To me it should be perfectly fine that I make said thread on /y/ in order to be able to post nsfw material as well. I seriously see no problem with that. Are there really those of you who throw a RL shitfit if you browse this board and happen to see a picture without a cock in it?
Well that's fair, but just because a thread like that belongs in /r/, not really because of their image is sfw.
I see the problem here is that people are going to the extremes. Probably anger speaking.
One or two mild pics in a long porn thread won't send anyone in rage (usually). Just don't start a thread with SFW, because it shows you don't want porn. And even if the thread does start with porn, if it's short because it's not very popular or there isn't much material, don't dump with SFW. Look for porn or let it die.
It's become a meltdown because of what op said
>more than 10 threads in the first 4 pages
Then it becomes annoying. Like in the other boards, nobody will kill you for one or two pictures. But when it becomes a big problem, people get bothered and with reason. That's why Pokémon and MLP got their own boards, because they were becoming spam. Of course we haven't reached that point yet, but a quick reminder like op's image doesn't hurt anyone.
uhm.. You said that shota is in 7chan. To start i didn't even knew that 7chan existed, so, thank you. But... I went there and... I don't know. Am i stupid? I don't know where is the shota, and in the rules says something like: THERE'S NO SHOTA IN 7CHAN. So... Please, pretty please, can someone explain me this?
It's on the bottom right side under 'Porn'. You have to make the boards listed there show with clicking the little + sign. And there shotacon is listed as well as traps and straight shota and more.
shota isn't allowed but then you have pokemon and digimon thread where you're obviously getting thinly veiled shota replys, as long as you don't outright ask for shota and are on topic
