Honestly this part I still don't get fully. Like when I was about to make the purchase, the choice came down between a Rider-Waite deck, and the one that I got, the Marseille deck. If I were being completely honest the Marseille one immediately grabbed my attention, though that was the first time I've ever seen one. I wanted the Rider-Waite primarily because I've heard it's the "standard" so to speak, and is most recommended for beginners.
