The mandala effect creeps me out considering I recently watched the silent Hill pt ign video on YouTube. For those who haven't played silent Hill, the creators messed around with the idea that missing letters from words is scary. Like you'll find dialogs in the game where letters are missing. In silent Hill pt they played on this big time with random letters on the walls or what sounds like some kind of code over the intercom.
