The papers have been recycled but they all had serial numbers and talked about a conference with names blocked out, dates and times and something about "newsworthy" and "patriotism" most was nonsensical cause of the sharpie, and others where just pages of letters and numbers jumbled together..

Here's a picture of the back, time stamp included
It's an external hard drive if you guys have yet to guess

I'm not sure if I should take this thread to /pol/ or /g/ but it seems to fit into the scheme of things here, so If anyone would want to theorize about what could be on here, or what this all means then I'm open to discussion.. If anyone would know how to get into it, that would also be awesome.

Id have kept the papers if I knew I where going to post here.. Most where dated from 2 months ago, the serial numbers where all "DND -1485 (6-45) 76934-24-242526".. Most of them where totally unreadable cause of the sharpie, the only ones not blacked out where random digits as I mentioned above.. Ill type out something similar and post a screen cap

To the average computer schwanzkopf, they'd be stumped just by not being able to open the dubious file by double-clicking. That's likely an encrypted volume. Picture a manila folder you can digitally lock. Best chance to open it is to use the unix file command on it and see what type of encrypted volume it is, then download the software get a hash and start brute forcing.

also, if it actually was an encrypted container, it wouldn't have a password like "i<3dicks". the password would have been so long that we weren't even able to crack it using all our computing power combined.
