Whats behind john.com?
Anyone got an access code?

C'mon /x/, /b/tards have helped you out before. You know this is right up your alley.

As far as we can tell, the domain was registered in 1994 and updated in 2013, so we're quite certain the OP isn't trolling us.

There is also a Yahoo question about from April 2014.

You know you want to know too.

I think we could assume that your question should be "WHO is behind john.com?"

Good luck /x/
>>
>>14622705
what's mortis..?
>>
>>14622731

similar site, basically. page had only a single image on it with a log in. nobody could find a way in or knew what was on the site.

I think some government authorities got involved and the site was shut down? do a search of "mortis site 4chan" and you get some archived threads with some info.
>>
>>14622738
it's kind of messed up that after government authorities got involved the site shut down.. what were they doing there? one can only imagine
>>
>>14622738
Wait sec I think I remember this. Wasn't the image a pentagram or baphomet or something along those lines?
>>
Its purpose is to make you ask questions and conspire false "facts" about that website like /x/ does with everything else.
>>
>>14622756

not sure! I remembered the name of the site but not its contents so I had to do a Google search myself.
>>
I wonder if this is of interest...
http://john.com/process.php?accesscode=baa

Unfortunately I have no idea about PHP injection other than what it is.
>>
>>14622835
>http://john.com/process.php?accesscode=baa
This returns the state of the login, and would only be useful for a bruteforce in search of a 1 returned.
>>
>>14622858
I know that much; what I was thinking was to lever out the password checking code by sending particular field values. Wouldn't that be an option?

Wow so helpfulness, I think I'll be faster if I learn how to do it myself.
>>
>>14622877
Yeah, you do that.
>>
I'm fairly certain that there's actually nothing to this site beyond the pictures and the password screens.
>>
http://john.com/login.php?id=john
>>
>>14622905
There isn't.
In the source, javascript is used to put a fade out animation on the div ".form", and fade in ".done". Except there is no ".done" div defined in the source. If you entered the correct code, the login field would fade away and nothing would happen.
>>
>>14622923
Also it is owned by John E. Little, the founder of Portal Software.

It's apparently copied from this example (notice the consistent spelling mistake "hightlight"):
http://www.queness.com/post/160/create-a-ajax-based-form-submission-with-jquery

I think he just removed the .done div element so there might be something behind this after all.

Still no idea how to lever out that password check, though.

Not paranormal, but definitely fun, mysterious, and maybe a little 'conspiracy/creepy'- related. No harm there. It has my attention.

That is, if process.php ever even returns 1. Probably doesn't.
>>
>>14623128
Exactly. Even if the whole 'mystery solved' aspect is boring, it's the hunt and act of solving that is exciting and fun.

the post data is sent to [email protected]

So, the "password" and url extension (not sure how else to say that - =truck) are sent to an email.

probably a marketing thing - which is weird because there are a million other ways to do this - ways that are SO MUCH FUCKING EASIER. Miles easier. and the code was obviously copied/pasted (someone probably wrote it for him and explain it to him - hence all the notes).

someone registered it in 1994 and never let go of it - and is trying to find use out of it. nothing weird here
>>
edit:
confirmed.
the passwords people enter are used for marketing purposes. the man has been trying to sell the domain for a few years - he's collecting data (or hired a company) to show entered data / marketing info to potential customers.

stupid. this was done with a few websites over the years

>Reminds me of strange.com, even the year of registration is the same.

1994 was really the first year common folk could register domains. It couldn't be from before then, and all the common word .com domains were snatched up pretty quick so being from 1994 isn't that weird.

John.com is a destructive force, meant to be used awaredly by initiates. He can teleport to your room through the web site if he wishes.I just talked to him through my mind. He might be joking. Any questions you want me to ask?

>>14636244
what? hats, shoes, tools, animals? none of those, save maybe tools, are specific to any gender.
>>
>>14636349
All the animals are male. The tools are masculine, as in, penetrating forces. Vehicles are feminine, hence why people call boats "she," and why guys treat cars like girlfriends. The hats are men's hats, and belong to traditionally male roles. Those are women's shoes, and shoes themselves are feminine because things are placed inside them, like cars.

Why does the web site have this light behind it?
>It was channeled. I invoke Lucifer when I code it.
Why is it unsafe?
>It is a higher level of truth than you are capable of comprehending.
Who uses your web site?
>The elite, who you call reptoids.
This seems silly.
>You do not have the strength to comprehend truth. If you did, I would write volumes upon volumes to you, and you would write them down. And I would eat you. You are too weak to eat. The majority of people here are the same.
