Hi /x/, here's my story. My son was practicing his clarinet, so I paused the Telly to listen to him. The tv was on The 7:30 Report (Australian TV) and I saw a face in the smoke.
Is it just pareidolia?

Yes.
Thanks for your reply, I feel like a bit of a dope for asking.

The truth is out there my friend, stay true to yourself and try to be good. Edgy faggots win disappointment and sadness.
I was considering making a homemade ouija board and using it in the house. Would it be a bad idea to do that? I'm skeptical and wanna just be sure how to be safe.
>>19157331
If you use a marker, never use that marker again. Don't trow that marker in the trash bin. Don't give it away. Burn it.
Or eat it.

No way
This thread serves as a continuation of my experiences in my house which is haunted by something unknown. I have very little information on it. Lost previous thread(s) because I'm horrible at keeping track of them.
Summary: My house is haunted. Doors have been opened, closed, locked, knocked on and slammed. Random noises throughout the house when I'm the only one here and my cousin who lives with me has been having strange dreams recently.
Update: My cousin woke up with a very large oddly shaped bruise on his arm. Will include pic shortly.
I'm currently looking for more information on what this might be and how I could possibly get rid of it. I have notified a priest to come to the house for a blessing but I haven't got a date set up since my schedule is horrible. The events that have occurred have been going on both night and date, in plain sight and this entity has no problem making itself known to anyone who might enter the house. It has taken a particularly aggressive stance to my cousin it would seem.
Ask me anything and offer any kind of advice that might lead to me handling this with a little more knowledge on what I might be dealing with.
anon from last night. BRO NEED THESE PICS

I'll upload the new bruise now. This one literally happened last night to him.

They want to take back the fire we stole from Prometheus.
You didn't think it was a cooking fire, did you?
What if none of this is real? What if all this time you've just been in a coma the entire time while real life has been passing you buy? Dreams can be incredibly vivid. Is there any way to test that this is true reality and not a dream?
Does it really matter? Your perception is your reality.
Why are you talking to yourself?
Think about it.

>What if none of this is real?
This is where logical thinking comes in handy.
If this is real, and you act like it's real, you'll act appropriately and be fine. If it's real and you at like it's not, you're liable to ignore dangers and be harmed (Darwin Award).
If it's not real and you play along with it, you will prolong the dream (delay returning to a reality you don't remember, or moving on to some afterlife). If it's not real and you act like it's not real, then there's no longer any point in fear. You might gain lucid dreaming powers (to either edit the dream or wake up), or you might not.
So you can try for awesome superpowers at the risk of dying for permanent, or you can continue the life you have with the possibility of waking up afterwards. Which you choose will depend on your tolerance for risk and how decent your life situation is.
What is the satanic counterpart to the bible? I mean something about as old that gives the other side to the story.

There's the Apocrypha and The Zohar, wouldn't call them "the other side of the story" though

Hey /x/files I am going to be on a roadtrip from Austin Texas to San Bernadino California. What are the best paranormal places to visit? Alien abduction sites, haunted houses, or just places you want checked out. I'll report back what I find at each stop.
Idk which way you're headed OP (40 or the 10) so i'll drop a few on both routes
Marfa Lights in Marfa, Texas
Roswell, NM (Roswell saucer crash and the goatman)
Aztec, NM (another famous saucer crash site)
Secret Canyon, Sedona, AZ (UFO portal/hotspot)
Stardust Ranch, Maricopa County, AZ (private property but the Estrella Mountains is home to an interdimensional portal and one of them is on this property, might catch some UFOs coming in and out of the mountain range from the eastern side)
Joshua Tree National Park, California (UFO hotspot)

* correction on Stardust Ranch, if you're on the western side of the Estrella Mountain range near stardust ranch

i imagine being a plant would be like being blind and naked in the woods. Only left to hear and feel things.
are they as alive as us, but simply with more limitations?
the consciousness of plants.
go.
I smoked some really good outdoor grown weed and could tell, that it had a better life experience outdoors, than indoor hydroponics. It also kind of game me the feeling that all living things, possibly even matter itself were part of some large divine spirit. Or it was just really good weed KEK.
something about the chemicals they uses to communicate to each other in the soil. That part is actually scientifically proven to some extent
>>19156558
Plants do communicate and show different behavior in different situations. Although their intelligent is very low, they seem to be aware of the environment.
Then you might ask:
How sadistic is it to walk on grass or take home a single flower?
If we agree the living have souls, in the sense of Plato, do plants have souls too?
So, I have seen a lot of different sorts of manuscripts people mention on this board that just kind of give me the impression that they all are belonging to different occult divisions. Asides from that, I get the impression that a lot of this stuff is Satanist or something, if any of this turns out to be real I don't want to end up selling my soul or some shit and besides that, my parents are pretty christian and I think that although they wouldn't appreciate my interest in occultism, I am fairly sure that it would be much easier to explain than being involved in Satanism. So, does anyone know of some sort of guide to what's what in terms of the occult and potentially some recommended reading?
>>19156504
idk maybe read the sticky?
>>19156532
Oh shit, that has all that stuff? Thanks man, sorry I'm really bad at reading stickies on pretty much any board/site given that usually it's just really obvious generic rule shit.
>>19156551
Yeah, so I went and took a look at the sticky but I still don't really get the divisions, as in what's satanist and what's not and the difference between Hermetics, Magik, and the hundred other different beliefs that seem to be prevalent on this board.
How do I use magic to help the poor/save the environment/ensure children around the world are getting a good education?
Convince socialists that their policies backfire, elevating a class of feudal oligarch "planners" who teach little more than propaganda in the schools and who care about only as much of the environment as they can see from atop the mansions their peasants built for them. It seems this would indeed take magic, so good luck.

Can somebody hook me up with some creepy, no jumpscare shit, anime or manga?
Stuff like Junji Itou which does not scare you but rather makes you feel very uncomfortable and twists your guts.
Pic semi-related, I don't even care for EVA but that violence had me, well, unsettled. And don't get me wrong, I'm used to gore and violence threads, but that felt funny. Maybe it was the music or the editing, I dunno.

Hello /x/, let's talk about vampires. Share whatever information you have and post your thoughts on questions like: How can a human become a vampire? Where did the first vampire come from? What actual abilities do vampires have?
Thank you.
>>19156378
hmm Im AB- am I vamp material?
>>19156398
I have seen this mentioned as the only blood group that can become vampires themselves but I personally doubt it. Let me repost this: I know people who are negative like to roleplay that it's somehow a "special" blood line but the only actual evidence is several studies that people who neg - blood have more health issues. It also doesn't mean that you have something extra, it means you lack something, the antigen.
And on top of that, though I'm open to be corrected on that topic, but drinking blood isn't actually like a blood injection in the hospital. So you also would need to be compatible to the "victims" blood plasma, no?

Wear a Helmet, a bib, and kneepads
Hey guys! Last weekend I was volunteering at this little museum on the country backroads in Norfolk, like I have been every weekend for a few months. This time around there was actually an exhibit, and I got to meet a lot of old vets. The problem is, most people who are interested in military history are elderly vets themselves, but that's besides the point.
On a break, one of them and I got to talking. He heard I was stationed near RAF Mildenhal, and told me he remembers a UFO sighting near there, about an hour south where one supposedly came down near RAF Woodbridge, which at the time also stationed USAF.
I looked the incident up, here's what I learned, and here's what I'm doing tonight.
>bright lights seen at 0300, Security Forces out by the western gate (now closed) said they thought a jet came down
>went into the woods to explore, and found a craft
>over the next few days reports came out of huge radiation readings, VERY high ranking officials saying they saw it
>some people dismissed of command, huge public intrigue
>official story: This was the light from Oxford Ness Lighthouse, several miles away on the coast, through the woods
So, tonight I'm going there myself to investigate! I'll be going at 0300 (seeing as I already live on energy drinks) and posting pics here. The main point is to see if I can see the lighthouse from the clearing, and how long I have to walk from the western gate before I actually do see it.
The address for the site, a clearing where there's still no trees, is IP12 3NF. If I see any of you guys out there, I might buy you a drink or something.
Also, feel free to post more about the incident. I actually know very little about it, apart from what I heard second-hand and skimmed on Wikipedia.

>Western gate
Sorry, meant to say east gate.
I will tune in. I just made a thread myself here about my 5th UFO sighting and the resulting confusion, so this is an area of interest for me.

Tbh I have no real opinions on any grand conspiracy, but UFO sightings are just comfy and wholesome /x/ topics.
