This means humans can not experience physical or emotional pains after death because there is no place for them to happen (in this case the body)

Pain is purely a mechanism for self preservation.

The pain you feel when injured exists to send a signal to your brain to tell you to stop doing something that is damaging your nervous system. Overall, it exists for self preservation.

Emotion is more complicated, but follows the same basic idea. Emotional attachment to things exists as either a byproduct or direct product of hard code (DANA) to survive and reproduce. Therefore, it makes sense for the human body to feel an emotional pain when they neglect or mistreat something or someone they view as an asset to their survival.

Because of this evidence, we can reasonably conclude that the idea that Hell is eternal torment after death is false because pain only exists as we know it as a mechanism for a living human to preserve themselves. It would not be possible for pain to exist without a physical body.

Some may make an argument that there could be a mechanism of pain that isn't physical, and relates to a soul. This argument lacks substance or an explanation for how the concept of pain could apply in a non physical way. This is also wrong.

This can be disproved by asking the question "Why would a soul feel pain?" Assuming the torment of Hell is eternal, it has no reason to learn from the pain of an experience. Therefore, the pain is useless.

Now we know the entire concept of eternal torment after death is 100% false.

The whole concept of Heaven and Eternal Life is just stupid. What the heck you going to do with forever, there only so options and choices that you'll eventually run out of new things to do, that's if you have any choice in doing anything because according to Christian theology, you'll be stuck in a state mindless bliss for all of eternity, sapped of your free will only to become a mindless drone singing praises to some egotistical deity forever and ever. Is that what you people really want? This doesn't sound like some sort of reward to me, it sounds like punishment. I like my free will, and the thought that things eventually end places value on those things, to have happiness forever does nothing but make happiness worthless. No thank you, I do not want Eternal Life in Heaven.

Hey guys, I don't know if this is even the right thread and it's really fucking stupid but I keep getting these grease smudges on my laptop's screen. So a while back (around a month ago) I kept noticing these smudges on the left of my screen, I thought it was weird but maybe I had touched the screen at some point or closed it and it got dirty. Just a while ago I deceided to test it and see what was up with it, if either I was going crazy or whatever, so I let the laptop open and made sure the screen was clean. When I came back, the smudge was there and I'm positive nobody came in my room since I was alone at the time. Can someone provide alternatives as to why this is happening? I'm feeling really paranoid right now.

In all abduction cases it can only be one of three things.
1. The person is lying
2.the person is delusional or
3.the events the person described actually happened.
In the following instance Barney Hill, a man who sat on a local board of the US Civil Rights Commision claimed under hypnosis that he was lured and then forced onto a ship on a drive home with his wife.
Because of his active political and social activity prior to the event ( active member of NAACP,local church,civil rights work) we can presume that the second option isn't applicable in this instance.
Therefore do you think this man is lying ? People say that he became delusional after hearing his wife describe the experience but how does such a reasonable man become so involved in such a crazy idea with no motive ?

So in the Old Testament, cannabis is mentioned as being used by Moses on the hebrew people to unite them as their religion was still "Canaanite". It implies that cannabis is linked to the Canaan gods. Those of course are really demonic entities, kinda throwing me doubt about its spirituality.

I think the global effect is that it can make people docile (to fascism for instance). Definitely increases lust too. From figures I've seen, those entities are big black dogs (venered in Ancient Egypt).

I don't know a lot about the Canaan gods tho, maybe someone knowledgeable can add in.

I know I'm not the only one who knows that the dead walk among us. I can't be the only one who sees them.

I just don't understand why they don't talk. Why don't they ever speak? Is it because they believe we might expose them through hidden tape recorders? Why would they care?

I've only seen two dead people I've known out of the dozens I've seen. Is it because I've affected these spirits tangentially , or they honestly had no one in life and just gravitate to others who were like them in life?

They used to scare me but now I just feel sorry for them. Am I insane? I can't be the only person that sees dead people.

I lived in a halls of residence from September - April during my time at uni and had vivid nightmares. Turns out the place I stayed at was previously a mental asylum, but the wards are gone now. Some of the buildings still stand they're just abandoned.

I never had nightmares at home (1 or 2), but in this place they were frequent - my flatmates mentioned having them too. The first one involved a long black creature crawling up towards my bed. The second time I was laid on the floor and a force grabbed me towards the bathroom door which then opened and a gremlin-like creature peered round giving an evil smile. The nightmare that freaked me out the most involved the bed I was laid on leaving my room and traveling from door to door, I knocked at each door but received no answer. Finally, one of my flatmates opened his and I told him I was being possessed. Often I'd wake up in a panicked state, sometimes unable to move or with my mouth wide open for a few minutes.

The place itself never felt homely, even during the day there was a weird sense of discomfort to it. Could these bad dreams be paranormal related or just good nightmare material? I wonder if it has anything to do with the patients that suffered there, perhaps their bad energies coming through. If you have any nightmares you'd like to discuss here, feel free.
