This is something I don't understand nor entirely believe, but I had an odd experience last night that I'd like to share with you. Here's an entry from my journal:

Today is Saturday, July 22, 2017. I reached out to a higher power at about 4 am-approximately 12 hours ago. I'm not entirely sure what happened, but I bundled up my desires into a request from a force I don't understand and I didn't know existed. Once I did, I prepared to recieve it's powers by spreading my arms wide. My body was wracked by some mysterious force for some thirty seconds, and then the power, who spoke through my own thoughts, told me I needed rest. I didn't understand, as the power made me feel somewhat energized, but once I left my spread out position, I felt a strange soreness all over. I quickly fell asleep and tried to contact him once again when I woke up, about 20 minutes ago, but it helped me realize that I'm to tired to concentrate on recieving its power. All throughout these events, the power communicated to me through what seemes like my own thoughts and provided seemingly new, yet vague, information. I'm not sure why my brain is generating these thoughts and experiences, but I think it req uires further study, as I have a sneaking suspicion that this is how religions begin. Furthermore, I feel my mind is in its last moments of lucidity before utter comittment to this force. I can feel my own mind and bodies division, it feels almost like possession. If I become a pseudo-religious whackjob after tonight, I want to remind myself, if I ever read this again, of just how annoying those people are. And if I am like that, I'd like to ask myself to please keep it to myself, and only tell people on anonymous forums and shit, people already think I'm a weirdo.

I've been subscribed to Jordan Underneath for a little while (YouTube channel that uploaded videos concerning subjects such as horror games/movies, etc.) It was all pretty traditional YouTube reviewer stuff until February of this year. He started uploading some pretty weird (albeit artistically creative and very well done) videos starting with the video titled "Have a Better Day." He has been uploading similar videos since then, and hasn't showed signs of stopping.

It's some pretty great stuff, but it leaves me wondering...do you think that these videos have any deeper meaning? Is there any kind of story to dissect from this? Or is it just nonsense?

I doubt it is nonsense/there is a deeper meaning. It really just looks like the guy got very interested in art, and started making some of his own. The strange plot of them is probably based off of the fact he is interested in things like that, considering that he covered horror/philosophical games before.

Tl;dr: Where does magic come from?
There are many people on this site who believe in Magic, curses, rituals, and all other sorts of paranormal activity (kek). So I'm curious as to what people believe is the actual physical origin of magic?
Is Magick a psychological phenomenon that influences your behaviour?
Or is it a literal force, that is drawn from inside a person? Or from another being?
So, /x/, starting from the premise that magick in some form actually exists. Where does is it drawn from? Where does it lay? Where is it's origin?

Started with animist/sun & moon worship/shamanistic stuff during prehistorical times. Stacking huge rocks on each other, painting stuff on cave walls and what have you. It would have been mostly verbal prior to written languages so we obviously have little fame of reference for what or why they did anything, the common themes are just things you can actually see in nature around you though.

Aren't their messages different, though?
IIRC Buddha says you shouldn't be trying to ask gods to do enlightenment for you, but Jesus is all about salvation through Him.

I'll start this shit off with one that features tarot cards and plenty of interesting stuff to look into.
It was a time travel dream, I was with a few other people in an old dingy building, and we entered into machines that looked almost like jankety cyro pods, but we were going back. The thing is that we could only go back to hen the machines already existed, it just so happened these had been built possibly over 100 years ago.
It's hard to describe the amazing visuals on this, but the machine broke me into glowing fragments, rearranged me into a sphere, and then back into myself.
We arrived back in the same building, the machines still hidden away a secret wing f some sort of old west point-esque military campus (all of the dream is dark and night)
As we left to find out places to blend in, tinker with history, collect information, it became apparent that there was a problem...

We got out of view and went out on a pier by ourselves. A girl with purple hair pulls out tarot cards. I think one was holding a bunch of swords, maybe the hermit, maybe death
As we continued to pull cards, she seemed to foreshadow that things were going to continue to go wrong this trip
We weren't going to waste this trip though, we left the worst hidden, and left to continue to blend in with the students here as spies

This is one of the only dreams i remember and i remember it 100% clearly
I was 10 at the time
I was in a baseball stadium (the ones they use for MLB and such) It was night and all the seats were empty
In the center where the pitcher would be stood the scariest thing i have ever seen in my life.
A tall (probably 7 Foot) "person" The head of the person was just a skull and it had no back, as in the spine was exposed and the only thing it had for a back. the spine was arched and the creature was hunched over. Its arms were attached near the top of the spine and were bent. The creature had torn up brown shorts on that covered its legs
That's all i remember. I had the dream for two nights in a row and i don't know why I remember it so well.
I have never heard of a monster or dream like this ever before. If i remember more of it i might post again
