Ghosts and demons, by the sound of things.
I've been thinking about coming up with my own paranormal contingency kit. It'll feature some of the usual stuff - salt, holy water, various religious icons, 11 herbs and spices, cold iron, hammer and stakes, silver knife, first aid kit...
I've also been wanting to write out a sort of handbook for dealing with the various kinds of shit that a person might have to deal with. Monsters, spirits, curses, that sort of thing. Some kind of literature to throw in there so I don't have to go poring through a thousand fucking textbooks and grimoires.

Confession. I wish so badly that Catholicism allowed occult exploration. Maybe not angelic shit because you can't really verify what you're contacting. I used to be an alchemist and an astrologer, and the ways it changed the way I see myself and the world around me were invaluable. If I hadn't delved into that, I would not have become a Catholic. I wouldn't have come to understand or believe in Christ.
Although I've given that part of my practices up, I am willing to admit without hesitancy that all the occult is real. All of it. And it can be beautiful, especially the two practices aforementioned. I wish the church would allow alchemy and its exploration, but it makes sense that alchemy isn't exactly necessary with a faith in Christ. And I have to follow that.

Can the sages of /x/ please redpill me on Buddism?
I have always been heavily affected, psychologically, by things htat shouldn't concern me, the way other people live their life, other countries way of life, the news etc etc. I find myself basically overthinking everything and end up at a loss when trying to think why it's even worth living in such a fucked up world any more, let alone bring children into this as it's only going to get worse.
For some reason I see Buddism and it's teachings some way to help me deal with this, so please help me understand if/why I should avoid this and if so, how the fuck do you deal with life?
As a side note, is it just me or as a society are we just focusing on negativity to much these recent years? I swear to god it's gotten infinitely worse recently.

It's a Hindu belief but it's currently Kali-yuga. It's not recent but society has been degenerating for a while. Technically speaking day by day it degenerates further.

Every single time I see a picture of a "grey" alien (large black eyes, light skin) I am filled with immense fear and feel the shock of adrenaline. It has been like this as early as I can remember. Do I just have some inherent phobia of aliens, or do I have post traumatic stress from an abduction in my past? I don't remember ever not being afraid of these things. Can any other posters relate?

I saw a lot of computers, nothing too crazy. One of the computers had some black looking command prompt on the screen and the others had maps. One looked like it was a google image of Colorado or something. Once I was on the run I passed by a room with a patient in a bed.
I have been here for three days. They have been keeping me in a small chamber. 10 by 10 I would say. I am not sure what I have seen, my thoughts are mostly confusing.
