Then we take this turn and we see this shirtless emaciated guy walking on the side of the road, white as paper man, scares me and my friend so much we don't say anything and just let the radio play for another few miles before we mention seeing him.

There are a number of ways to attract them and WITNESS IT FOR YOURSELF which have been independently verified by people around the world (Even an anon from this very website!)

To attract them you need to create an "intelligent disturbance" in the electromagnetic/UV spectrum, laser pointers, mirrors, and radio waves are all effective.

Focus as hard as you can on that patch of sky and keep your mind clear. The anomalies seem to be hyper-aware and can "sense" your intent. You need to have an open mind and invite them.

With a mirror: Reflect the beam of sunlight into an open patch of sky repeatedly. Send the reflection in sequences of prime numbers (2 flashes, pause, 3 flashes, pause, 5 flashes, etc...)

I have a shortwave but can never pick up numbers stations. Why?

I usually hear the Cuban numbers stations on my shortwave radio, but on occasion the Russian and Ukrainian numbers stations make it to the U.S.

I just spent the 20 min clicking links on the whole MATAD thing going on with the numbers stations and reddit. Did you look into all of that? it's pretty spoopy. I'm about to make a thread on it.
