So /x/, I'm a college student studying to become a teach. Majors are education and child psychology. Yeah I know STEM master race and all that, my majors are shit. Whatever, teaching is my passion and I want to help future generations. It's my contribution.

Right now I'm earning a few credits via an internship type deal. Basically I work as a teacher's aid for a school for a semester, and earn credits for it.

For most of the day ( all periods aside from 4th) I am an aid for the school's special needs class. The class exists, as you could probably guess, for those who are considered too mentally handicapped to participate with normal students for some reason or another. A majority of the class is Down's Syndrome or other types of retardation, as you could guess. Though there are four students who are actually genius level in IQ. Two of them are Autism Spectrum, one is a diagnosed sociopath (antisocial personality disorder for those who are politically correct. ), and the other is a paranoid schizophrenic who is mostly functional on medication. These four are kept in this class because they are considered to either not be able to handle the social interactions of normal classes ( the autists ) or are possibly dangerous if provoked or have a breakdown ( the sociopath or schizo. ) .

I have to admit though, they don't really get much challenge since the class is geared towards the Down's kids more than them. As such, since I started I've basically become the four's personal teacher, only needed to help with the Down's kids occasionally.

Last week I gave them an assignment. Basically it was to write something. It could be a report, a short story, anything they wanted. One of the autistic kids did a report on steam engines, the other one future technology. The sociopath wrote a Noir short story. The Schizo however wrote a report on the nature of "terror" or "true fear" .

OP here. I'm a girl btw, in London
>>
Now a bit of background on the Schizo is that aside from simply being schizo, he has night terrors. Most of his hallucinations are often nightmarish as well from what I understand. His personality as a result is very dissociated, depressed, and low key. A sad, whimpering psychotic. Almost like a negative Alice in Wonderland.

Now what struck me about his paper was how entirely different his perspective on fear is compared to mine, or most other people's that I know. To quote the paper:

> True terror is in something that is irrevocably broken. In horror movies, it is never the ghost or monster itself that is scary, but instead the brokenness it causes, or that created it. It isn't that the dead is haunting the house, but the warping of the physical house itself, the warping of the sounds and atmosphere itself, and the warping of the universe that causes the dead to influence it. True terror always comes at the realization that something has terribly broken the universe itself. The nature of the eldritch is that which the universe shouldn't allow. It is in its entirety an abomination to existence itself. It is the concepts of the infinite, the primordial, the primal, and the fundamental that truly terrify. This is why death is terrifying: it is infinite. The idea of an infinite, endless void, is psychologically painful to imagine. This same pain can be visited at the creation of the universe. A singularity, in which all time and space exists, surrounded by a vast void of true nothing, something we cannot imagine. It is intrinsically terrifying, and dwelling on it inspires true horror that we perceive as annoyance.

>To illustrate: Imagine you have a small box. The box measures 6 inches tall from the outside. No matter what you use, no matter how accurate or precise the instrument, you will always get 6 inches. It is absolute, comforting, solid. The inside however, measures 7 inches deep. It doesn't need to be this big of a difference. 6.1 inches would be enough. What would you do with this box? Most people think nothing of the idea. Perhaps an amusing oddity. They might take it to a scientist they think to themselves. Truthfully they don't realize the terror of the concept, because they have never really encountered something truly broken and evil. They don't realize that the idea of such a box is an abomination, and terrifying beyond conception. They don't realize how harmful the idea of such a box is, until they finally find something so broken as to show them.

The paper has a bunch of drawings and illustrations as well. The one attached in the OP is what he calls a " Box bigger on the inside than it is on the outside. " . However I cannot find anything about it anywhere. It looks like a magic circle of sorts, but nothing on google for "Satanic/Wiccan/Pagan circle" shows anything like it.

Figured /x/ might have some insight on what it is, or why it would be terrifying. Or perhaps /x/ could discuss the nature of terror or fear, and maybe help me understand where the kid is coming from.

Alright /x/, my goal is to acquire and read as many religious texts as possible and read them just so I can see another perspective. I'll start with the obvious ones like the Bible, the Koran, the Torah. After that, I want to get into the ones which are less popular (for some religions I don't know the names of the texts) like the Vedas, the Book of Mormon, Buddhism, Tao te Ching, Confucianism, Raelianism, Book of Shadows, Thelemic texts, etc.

All this will cost quite a bit of money, so I'm looking for an estimate of the damage. I figure I can probably get a Bible, a Koran, and a Book of Mormon (my father always used to talk about the hot Mormon girl who gave him one) for free, but the rest are pretty obscure, so I'd probably have to buy them. I'm also looking for physical copies; I really don't like reading over the web.

Other than that, any other texts I should get into? Thinking about the Tibetan Book of the Dead.

Any general tips?

Torah is just the Old Testament, maybe try the Talmud and Mahzor

hi /x/. i am a US postdoc student in radiation physics. for the last few months i have just started as an intern at a research facility owned by ONI. i was required to go through background checks and given civilian level security clearance.

an ex-military director of our project, now associated with a private (read: shadow feds) intelligence and research contractor, has confided in me the fed's modern understanding of extraterrestrials. this starts with some assumptions:

1. Faster than light travel is not possible or impractical. The conservation of energy is a permanent factor in the evolution of technologies.

2. The answer to the Fermi paradox is of course that intelligent civilizations are too spatially and temporally distant to observe each other by means of EM. Direct observation of the light from distant stars, the extrapolation of their chemical composition and the use of Doppler spectroscopy only implies the plausibility of Earth-like biochemistry.

3. Hypothetically if information which implies intelligence is encoded in EM sources from distant celestial bodies, we are viewing it too early. In other highly redshifted galaxies we are viewing them much earlier phases, which is why they are of such value to us in studying interstellar clouds and the formation of stars. It follows that the area of space with the greatest chance of having activity indicative of intelligence is effectively unobservable by EM.

go on...

Are these FBI 'assumptions'? Because the first one is wrong; what's shocking about the whole alien thing is just how quick they can get around places. You think all these ships and fantastic propulsion systems get them around, but its really a matter of 3d positioning. A ship can be 'moved' in a moment across vast galactic distances. The irony of the hands-off observation approach is the hidden ones could land in front of you in the span of five seconds, invite you into their ship (space permitting, hahaha), and take you to, say, the surface of Mars in another few heartbeats.

/x/, I need an advise I guess

I never posted here, and I barely even visited this board. I'm not that much into creepy stuff. But something creepy happened to me in the past and this shit is back, so... I guess I'll tell you the story.

It started back when I lived in my hometown, Odessa in Ukraine. Ever since I was small, my granddad brought me to 411th Battery. It was a coastal gun battery during WW2 and it was turned into a WW2 memorial some time after. You can check it out, it's on wikipedia I believe. Frankly, that place was amazing. It had a LOT of tanks, guns, planes and whatnot placed all around a huge area, sort of a park. There was no supervision, area wasn't enclosed, and you could come there for free at any time, climb any vehicle and even get inside some. Most of tanks were welded shut, but there was an armored train on a piece of tracks which you could get in.

I was into military stuff, so the place was just purely awesome for me to be at. When I was in early teens, I only visited it with my granddad, because it was some few kilometers from our home and I didn't know the road as it went through a suburban area and near the coast. When I was in my late teens, I kept coming there from time to time with my school friends.

So, anyhow, there were two large vehicles there, standed on concrete supports. One was an old anti-mine boat. When I was very young I got inside of it with a lot of other kids, but it was all rusty and broken there, and there were a lot of insulation pieces around. You probably don't know, but insulation back in USSR was made out of foamy stuff with very small pieces of glass in it for whatever reason, like sandgrain size. I got one stuck in my foot, got terrified that it will go to my heat through the blood stream. Anyway, after that that boat was off limits for me, because I was scared it'd happen again.

And then there was this submarine...

Back when I was young, it appeared HUGE to me. But it was a small sub, which class, "Malutka", is roughly translated as "Baby" or "Little".

There was no way to get inside it from below and it was so large when I was around 10-12, that I couldn't even get on the concrete supports, let alone topside. However, I heard that older teenagers got in from above.

So as you might imagine, me and two of my best friends figured out we should get there some day. And we recalled that when we were about 17. So we decided to go there on one summer evening. As I mentioned there was no supervision or security of any sort, but we didn't want to attract attention of other people. So the day was already getting a bit dim and there were next to no people at the whole place.

It wasn't easy to climb the sub, but we managed to get on concrete support, then on a fin, then made our way up from there. After that, we got onto that tall bridge thing. The main hatch was of course welded shut. But those windoes you can see on top are large enough to get in. Well, me and my friend Maks did got in. But the other friend, Vlad got a bit scared at this point. You know, maybe a bit claustrophobic. I felt it too, those windows weren't exactly comfortable and we had no idea what was inside the sub. Still, we pulled out flashlights and got inside. Vlad stayed on top.
>>
Moar! This is interesting so far.
>>
>>15263259
The sub turned out pretty much as we expected. Inside it was rusted a LOT, a lot of wall and floor parts were missing, so we moved using support beams. First we checked the nose, where the torpedoes were. It was same stuff everywhere. A lot of rusty metal, that's all. Of course it was absolutely cool for us to be there in the first place. Then we moved around the center and finally into the back, to the engine compartment. There, Maks got ahead, while I stayed a bit behind to look at some junk that wasn't as rusted, trying to figure out whatever it was.

And some point I grew bored of it and went further in to see what Maks had found. And then I saw him.

The engine compartment wasn't as rusted and destroyed for whatever reason, I could move quite easily there, and so did Maks, who stood about in the middle of it. He didn't move however and was staring at something I didn't see, frozen, his flashlight pointed there with his arms down beside the body. That was weird, and I moved a bit closer to get a better look. Finally I moved at an angle which allowed me to see what Maks was looking at.

Can we have a serious TOR thread?
Let's see some interesting stuff you found.

If you are new, please pay attention:

>Deep Web is everything you can't access without an authentication/log in on the internet, so your facebook home, your email, or a private server, are actually deep web. That's why there's the myth of this giant mole of data: it's not really illegal or strange stuff. Don't use the term "deep web": you are probably referring to Tor.

>CP, drugs/weapons/hacking services are pretty normal, there's no need to talk about them unless you have something interesting to say.

>Most of the serial killer's pages are fake. The human experiment site is fake. Mariana's web exist only as a page recreated after the mith.

>Actual gore stuff is not really common. Snuff Movies are often just videos where people are killed, stuff you can easily find on the web. An actual video where someone is killed on the sole purpose to make a porn movie, is almost impossible to find, and probably don't even exist. At least that's what they want you to believe.

>Gore/scat cp are nothing common too. Don't believe these pictures with a list of bullshits saying what's supposed to be on some (not existing) "levels" of the deep web. It's all fake as shit.

I'll start.

I found a link to a stream of a cam placed on a satellite. Really surprising, but nothing was happening on that satellite so it was quite boring after a bit.

Someone recreated the 1994 Dreamworks Interactive website, you can even visit the section about their upcoming ps1 game. ...But why?

I found a woman who was searching for a pedo husband to make and raise children. You know why.

Someone made a creepy website with a video, spooky/gore pictures and emblematic sentences. You can find it under the "uncategorized" section on the Hidden Wiki, at least if it's still there.

I found a guide on how disassembly an human dead body, so you could conserve it and eat it. There were even actual recipes about how to cook particular pieces of bodies and organs. Fucked up man.

I found bestiality, terrorism and how to cook almost every drug you can think of. So nothing new.

I found a login screen that I posted here some years ago, we found a solution and entered the site. It was like an dark imageboard with a textboard section. Nothing really interesting.

OnionIB is dead, Trichan has a login required now. Anonchan requires a login but it's easy to access.

Also, is there really someone who read these endless terrorism black pages with really small text? Is there something relevant? There could be gold hidden in there, nobody will ever find it because even looking at these pages without actually reading is still too boring.
Same can be said for the endless .txt that you can find in there. Some of them are really interesting.
>>
Protip: of you are using Tor, you better be on Linux or OS X.

Windows is vulnerable as fuck, it's all explained on the Hidden Wiki.
>>
>the deep web, a place of absolute freedom of speech
>Hidden Wiki gets taken hostage
>either remove CP or never function again
>they gave up freedom

It's not even about the CP. That place has lost all fucking credibility it had.

I was asked on this thread: >>15224295
about some experiences I had with exorcism. The guy asking mentioned that I might not want to hijack the other guys thread.

So I guess it's a good idea for me to make this thread.

Feel free to read what I said in that thread and ask any questions.

I will make this disclaimer however. I am NOT an exorcist, I do not claim to be a professional with exorcism. The times I have encountered demons was accidental, and it was just something I ran into and had to deal with, and I did so with as much faith as I could.

I am a Christian, I do not wish to bible-thump anyone on /x/. If you have questions feel free to ask them. I will not force you to believe anything, I will not tell you to do anything. These are my personal experiences, and that's it.

Why do you choose to be christian?
If demons are real and, I assume, older than religion, why do people need religion to deal with them?
>>
Thanks for the thread.
Hmm.. Where do I even begin..
Does music really carry demonic influences? My brother has changed over time, dramatically as his music choices got darker and darker.

What are good ways of knowing if you're dealing with a demon or possessed individual? How specific can they get when they "know" things? When it's vague, could it not just be a mere coincidence?
In what ways did you "deal" with them when you encountered them? More details on them specifically?
Possible green text stories of these events?
Have you ever been targeted by one yourself?
>>
>>15226484

>Why did you choose to be a Christian?

I chose to be a Christian through a whole lot of personal research I won't get into, it involved prophecies, the Dead Sea Scrolls and a whole lot of other things. But ultimately I concluded that I really did want to follow Jesus, and it was a personal decision of mine.

>If demons are real and, I assume, older than religion, why do people need religion to deal with them?

I don't know what you mean by this question specifically. But I don't believe it's religion per se that deals with them, at least not in my experience.

Christians(the ones who acknowledge what I do) believe that Jesus gave us the Authority to cast out Demons in his name. It's something all Christians can do with Faith. You don't need any sort of special badge to do it.

>>15226501

>Does music really carry demonic influences?

Yes it does, but don't go burning your Aerosmith CDs on that account. Your brother probably didn't change because of the music he listened to. The worst thing you can do with this stuff is become a religious zealot.

>How specific can they get when they "know" things?

They can be veeerrrry specific. They love pointing out your flaws. I ended up breaking down emotionally over it once, I won't get into the details. But they can mess with you. Do not EVER respond to their verbal attacks.

>When it's vague, could it not just be a mere coincidence?

Investigations into it are investigations for a good reason. Anyone can pretend to be possessed. Just don't be gullible.

>In what ways did you "deal" with them when you encountered them?

I rebuked them in the name of Jesus, I also often told them that the Blood of Jesus was upon them. That seems to be very effective.

>Have you ever been targeted by one yourself?

Probably, but I have Faith that I am protected. I just hope God doesn't decide I need to be tested Job-style. I would fail.

Someone posted a story here a couple weeks ago telling the story of how we went back to the now-empty 'haunted' house I used to live in in an attempt to contact the 'thing' which we suspect(ed) followed and haunted my older sister. That story was crazy intense and one of the most frightening experiences in that house .. But he didn't really have time to mention in that thread much of the backstory, all the little things that happened in that house before we moved out of it, long before we went back that day with a bunch of friends and a ouiga board. It's all little tiny unrelated anecdotes but some of them are fucking scary as shit and I think you guys would enjoy them because y'all are some twisted fuckers. Some are much less creepy than others and some are only kinda strange but the sheer quantity of things that happened paints a really disquieting story

Here's a sample
>watching a movie late at night on the big screen with little brother and older sister/her bf
>see little bro get up from the long couch and walk across the room to the corner where the bookshelf is. Can see it's him bc the black silhouette is closest to his height
>sister starts to laugh. "Wtf are you doing M why did you go sit in the corner??" There is like no furniture over there or anything and you can't even see the tv from there what is he doing
>bro answers from the couch uncertainly "um I didn't"
>wtf we all literally just saw a silhouette cross in front of the screen.
>I race for the kitchen light (I'm closest) but sister's bf vaults over the back of the couch and reaches it first
>brother in the same spot. never got off the couch. No one in the corner. No one else is even home. What

I have a million of these. Want more?

Here's another in case anyone's here
>be on the computer in my moms master bedroom
>very focused on my hw but see littlest sister walk in and go into the master bathroom, presumably to do hair or something
>start talking to her! complaining about my hw. Eventually ask her a question and she ignores it
>at this point I say "hey D are you even listening??"
>go into the bathroom
>mfw it's empty
>I nope downstairs and find her on the couch. She's been down there with her friend the whole time

It was not the first and not the last time this happened. This 'seeing someone out of the corner of your eye who wasn't there' thing happened to every person who lived there and to friends who didn't. Most often the 'person' was mistaken for the littlest sister, except when it was the littlest sister who saw it
>>
These are only mildly disconcerting things so far. It gets so much worse than that

these are so out of order sorry it's been many years. First truly frightening thing I can remember
>seventh grade. First year we lived there. I'm the first knew who gets home every day
>get home and open the front door
>massive amount of silverware clatters in the kitchen, like five or so people all dropped some at once
>I'm ready to yell at my cat until I look over and see him jumping off the front windowsill to see wtf that noise was
>haha you think I went in the kitchen to see what it was I'm not a fucking dumbass I've seen scary movies
>slammed the front door closed and waited on the porch for sister to get home
>no one inside, no silverware out of place

Hey there, /x/. It's been a while.
It's that time again.

Put on your trench-coats and Fedoras and light up a cigarette in a dimly-lit office with a shot glass of fine liquor, it’s time for a creepy unsolved crimes thread.

Just like last time, I know we had this same thread before, but what’s the harm in trying again? We had a blast last time, so let’s try it again.

Unexplained disappearances. Perpetrators vanishing without a trace. “Suspicious” suicides. Bizarre, ritualized murders and messages from an anonymous killer. Indecipherable pieces of evidence. Incomprehensible acts of theft and terrorism. Horrific acts of violence with no apparent motive. Inexplicable or even supernatural elements to crime that defy conventional understanding. Tales of corrupt officials and conspiracies, tampering with evidence and suppressing the truth. Abduction, torture, ritual-murder, human-trafficking, secret societies and more.

Rookie Mode: Post a Wikipedia link.

Veteran Mode: Post a Wikipedia link AND a green-text summary in this thread that explains why the crime/event is so creepy, and inspires people to go and read the Wiki article.

As per usual, I’ll post some great copy-pasta from the previous iterations of this thread to get things started, and to keep this thread alive if things get slow.

>During a 13-month period, four children were abducted and murdered with their bodies left in various locations within the county. The children were each held from 4 to 19 days before being killed. Their deaths triggered a murder investigation which at the time was the largest in US history. The murders are still unsolved.

>Fear and near mass hysteria swept southeastern Michigan as young people were inundated with information on "stranger danger", and parents clogged streets around schools dropping off and picking up their children. The few who did walk, walked in groups and under the watchful eyes of parents in "safe houses", where children could go if they felt uncomfortable. Children even avoided using a playground directly behind the Birmingham police station.

>Timothy King, 11, borrowed 30 cents from his older sister and left his home in Birmingham, skateboard in hand, to buy candy at a drugstore on nearby Maple Road on Wednesday, March 16, 1977, at about 8:30 pm He left the store by the rear entrance, which opened to a parking lot shared with a supermarket, and vanished.
>In an emotional television appeal, Timothy's father, Barry King, begged the abductor to release his son unharmed. In a letter printed in the Detroit News, Marion King wrote that she hoped Timothy could come home soon so she could serve him his favorite meal, Kentucky Fried Chicken.
>In the late evening hours of March 22, 1977, two teenagers in a car spotted his body in a shallow ditch alongside Gill Road, about 300 feet south of Eight Mile Road in Livonia, just across the county line in Wayne County. His skateboard was placed next to his body. His clothing had been neatly pressed and washed. He had been suffocated and sexually assaulted with an object. The postmortem showed that Timothy had eaten fried chicken before he was slain.

>December 1st, 1948
>Unidentifiable dead man found dead sitting on the beach at 6:30am
>Nothing on his person except for an unlit cigarette behind his ear and a half smoked one sitting in the collar of his shirt, a search of his pockets found only a used bus ticket, an unused train ticket, bubble gum, a branded packet of smokes (Army Club) with a different brand of smokes inside (Kensitas)
>Bus stop related to ticket was within 1km of where he was found
>Well dressed with all the tags removed from his clothes
>Was seen the previous night not far from where the body was discovered
>Dental records did not match any known person
>The autopsy failed to detect any foreign substances inside his body, his heart and blood vessels a normal size, despite there being blood mixed with the food inside his stomach and his kidneys and stomach being heavily congested

>Found inside a hand sewn pocket on the inside of the man’s pants was a tiny, rolled up piece of paper with the words "Taman Shud" on it
>The words "Taman Shud" translate to "ended" or "finished" and were the closing lines in a book named The Rubaiyat and followed this poem:

And when thyself with shining foot shall pass
Among the Guests Star-scatter'd on the grass
And in your joyous Errand reach the Spot
Where I made One – turn down an empty Glass!
>A man allegedly found the original copy that police believe had belonged to the dead man on the back seat of his car on the morning the man’s body was discovered
>On the back page was a series of "codes" faintly hand written with the MLIAOI line crossed out:

We don't we have a thread like this yet?

I'll start dumping some books and links and feel free to contribute if you want, and ask questions/deliver help on the subject here.

btw let's please not focus on tarot? I created this thread so we could spread our knowledge on so many methods of divination.

For my personal divination so far, I've accumulated the following tools and tested them out.

Tarot Cards: The method I've had the most success with, my go-to if I ever feel like doing a general reading for my day or when I'm feeling conflicted.

Scrying via Pendulum: My sister, a practicing witch, got me a pendulum as a gift because I have a habit of hanging things from my desk. I wouldn't call it reliable. I've heard a lot of people who use them say that you have to 'tune' them, so I've been using it off and on for half a year now with results that make me rather skeptic. Maybe try it with different materials?

I Ching: Very reliable, likely moreso than Tarot in my experience. Very direct form of divination. I'd recommend this to anyone who is looking for a new method.

Palmistry: Tried it off and on, never had much luck, not experienced enough and have a hard time really learning the art.

Anyone have tips for scrying and palmistry? They seem unreliable, but I've heard people swear by them.

>Scrying via Pendulum
I'm very skeptical when you talk about scrying it above some words like "yes, no, maybe" but when you want like to find someone lost or something, you can scry a crystal for it to point the desired direction to him.

>Palmistry
I dont got much learning myself because i'm focused onto different kind of readings, but Palmistry is VERY reliable. It even got science proof etc. The problem is to find and separate the genuine palmistry (generally refered as Chiromancy) and the lucky shot bullshit.
