So just kind of asking for what this is.
I'm home alone and there is like nothing in my house because we're moving and I'm playing on my phone and all of a sudden my cat starts freaking out and like looking everywhere and meowing and shut. I get a little freaked out and look up and from downstairs I see a black figure like kind of floating but it looked like a a very blurry person like blob. It moved away pretty fast when I looked at it but I thought I was seeing shut until my cat looked directly at where it was. Idk I feel like I'm just tripping out but just wondering if anyone has any ideas.

I think you're confusing real estate (a parcel of land) with legal estate (the will of the deceased). This is a sale of some dead person's stuff. It may or may not include the house. What if they were renting?

If you mean potentially haunted items, they'd be the most personal ones. The bed, any jewelry, framed mirrors. Those are going to be expensive or bulky or both. Best bet is to make a guess on the favorite chair. Typically they donate the clothing, otherwise that's a good prospect.
If you didn't know the deceased, it's a shot in the dark. There's no reason to suspect some random person is going to rest uneasy in the grave, just because he's dead.
So my advice is to bid on stuff you need. Estate sales are good for getting quality stuff with a lot of use left in it. If you could use furniture, bid on that (don't buy a chair you haven't sat in, be aware that old beds may not be standard mattress sizes). Kitchen stuff normally goes at very reasonable prices. Take a tape measure, don't exceed your budget, and don't expect to win everything you kind of want (you have to pick your battles).

Depending on the kind of estate sale, you can find a lot of relatively mundane items with occult uses. If it's the kind where the house is left more or less as is, and you're free to go in and buy whatever, you can often buy a big ol' box of candles for maybe a few bucks tops. Same with trinkets that might have use in some kind of altar. Old people love that shit, apparently.
I know I've found pretty groovy troves of paranormal books from the 70s, including some on meditation and astral projection, mixed in with a bunch of pulpy paperbacks.
I've also found half a set of zodiac mugs, black with gold foil, classy as hell.

So /x/, I wish I had pictures of at least the covers, but a few years back and again about a week ago I located amongst the sort of family heirloom kind of stuff on my dad's side (grandmother's house - she's in a home now), my paternal grandfather's Scottish Rite documentation he recieved. I can't recall the title if any but they said basically the year on the cover, and either Fall or I think Spring... so I think they were given out twice a year, mailed or given in person not sure.
Anyone know what these were/are called?
Also there's one also very small book in a blue binding... id' say about 100 pages max, but a very small size, with NO text on the outside or published title anywhere... and it's all in this weird symbolic/coded language, which makes no sense to me at all.
So if anyone can tell me what these publications might be, and if they're rare and worth keeping myself I'll make sure I do get them. Also, since he was Scottish Rite he had to be at least 4th degree, right? Would the lodge, if I can find the name on his documents again, probably be willing to tell me what degree he was? That is if they still exist.
Location is Waterbury, Connecticut.

Ok so I'm reading into the occult and symbolism, I'm an atheist and a firm believer in scientific method however i can get behind the idea that symbols, presentation, and our environment can effect our and others moods thought processes opinions and even health. Im interested in the idea that certain symbols have inherent power on the subconscious mind and others have meanings ingrained in us by our culture and environment. I Want this power for self improvement NOT the manipulation of others and id like to start by adorning my room with symbols to promote masculinity strength self growth and also creativity (im a music autist). No my only carvin is a dc800 with a green flamed maple top but the stock pickups are really muddy and 8 is to many strings to mute unless you use a high A which is hard to get strings for. The low f sharp is to flappy for even a 27 inch scale
