heres a little interesting tid bid, i dont know who posted this but here it is
I apologize for the sometimes improper language in this text. English is not my first language, and I have also used software to mask authorship so 3301/Cicada does not know who publishes this. Thank you.

I was part of what you call 3301/Cicada for more than a decade, and I'm here to warn you: stay away. This is a dangerous organization. While I agree with many of the goals, their ways are nefarious. In fact, I think it is like a left-hand path religion disguised as a progressive scientific organization. I realize this is a strong statement, but I will provide important evidence to support these claims.

For those of you who have not heard of organized 3301/Cicada, I will share some background information using publicly referenceable. According to leaked documents during the last round of recruitment they are "much like a think tank in that [their] primary focus is on researching and developing techniques to aid the ideas [they] advocate: liberty, privacy, and security." This is partly true. This is what initially attracted me many years ago.

The first public appearance was the recruitment campaign that began in parts that "can not be mentioned" of the Internet, where targeted hackers and programmers and people with a strong background with series of puzzles of increasing difficulty. This has been well documented over the Internet and will not repeat it here. The tests covered a wide range of topics: cryptography, steganography, and number theory, and classical literature, art, darknet, and computer skills including programming, philosophy, music, etc. even more interesting is the fact puzzle use multiple forms of communication: the Internet, phone , darknet (TOR), and the physical world even in the form of papers of 14 that appear simultaneously in all parts of the world (North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, etc.).

That's what they've always been counting on. Just remember that everyone who tries to push others to put up content is the original Cicada OPs trying to get their hive mind/cult to move on its own.

Alright enough shilling. It's time to start putting up some legit content.

The world as you know it is a memory, but not the kind you're thinking of. It's not a memory of god or anything grand like that, it's just a memory of this world. It's a memory of itself. It is composed of its own memory. It's not simply categorized as a memory after the fact; it is composed of memory in the purest manner.

All belief systems are memory manipulation. No, not the kind you're thinking of. Beliefs try to warp and skew our memories of the world in controlled ways. This is what produces the MCS that certain factions have come so desperately to believe in. It isn't some grand controlled metaphor that warps it all to hell such that we can never recover our true selves, but it is grand and controlled. It's just less than you want to believe it was.

You're still probably confused. Let me explain it in intuitive terms.

Everything in this world seeks to remember. Past lives, current lives, things to do and people to see or be remembered by. Efforts to record history so we never lose sight of it, efforts to predict a future, or rewrite a story so it's easier to remember, or so that remembering doesn't have to hurt so much. It all depends on memory. Everything tries to create or maintain memories in some capacity. Some of us care so desperately for our memories that we seek to be remembered forever, as immortals, or heroes of legend, or as myths that never die. This world is desperate to remember itself. Such is why it can only be made of memories. From this, two factions emerge.

You either work to better the memories to come or you see the grand legacies unfold haphazardly and say fuck it; only the present memory matters.

This is how we craft fates: Remember.

Good on you. You're half the reason I bothered writing this post tonight.

If you can find a greater, more polarizing issue in human society, then I'm all ears at this point. If it's not being remembered, I don't know what it is or how it could matter to anyone. Seems obvious to me that the world is desperate to remember, so if you'll excuse the leading question...

What is it that you're desperate to remember?

15
34 is an absolute must
43
58 and 59
60 is a compilation of the best encounters up to that episode
77 is another compilation episode

I can't remember which episode it is exactly but the one with a woman talking about her farm animals being attacked is really good. Actually all episodes with women guests are good. Most of those get pretty emotional and are good to listen to if you want to get scared.

The ones with guests from the UK and when he's interviewing doctors and veterans are good if you like speculation and lore about these things going back to ancient history.

If you have the opportunity you should get the Stitcher app on your phone and add the Dogman Encounters channel, he put much more detailed descriptions of each episode on there so you can get an idea of which episodes have what.

I'm an only child and the last person bearing my family name for at least the last two generations.

All males born to aunts and uncles of my father's generations have died before they could get married and produce children. One died as an infant due to an incompetent doctor, another was murdered and two were killed on the road; three had my family name.

The only reason I'm here is due to disasters in both my parent's previous marriages. Due to the state of the world and my own experiences, I'll will never be getting married (assuming I wouldn't die before then anyway), therefore my family name will die with me.

If you follow the philosophy of nihilism then wouldn't everything you experience be considered paranormal because it all lies outside the realm of what can be known and quantified?

Everything we experience is the result of evolution, adaptation, natural selection, etc.
And it can be quantified. You can now measure the emotions of a human brain. The electric impulses. The chemicals. Everything.

Hey /x/
So, this is something really mysterious and creepy I've noticed but I rarely ever see dsicussed anywhere on the internet. You know the old "One click and you're in the weird part of YouTube" joke? Well now it's more like, one click and you're in the children part of YouTube. Might not really sound spooky (even though I would argue there are some spooky parts of it) but it's totally bizarre. They're usually really poorly animated clips with odd music with children's fictional characters from all sorts of mediums mashed together. A lot of them are Nursery Rhymes, and the thing is, there's thousands of these channels, some of them have millions of views, some of them barely any, and so many of them use the exact same songs and the same type of animation. This video is a good example of many of the points about these videos:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZvlupo-H5A
It's god weird models, some of which are almost disturbing, the same songs over and over again and just to put the icing on the cake spiderman flying a nazi plane.
Confused? So am I.
This video by the same channel has 62 million views:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJAiYpyYAjs
The comments are bizarre too. Most of them are just gibberish, obviously bots or something, some of them are similar channels trying to advertise. Like one of the top comments on the video here is named "Disney Cars for Kids" and it's a mix of weird videos about Marvel Heroes, Mickey Mouse, and Cars, but some of the videos don't even have Cars characters.
Just searching Finger Family on YouTube will lead you to thousands of these channels
https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=finger+family

Who's behind all this? Why does it all exist and why is there so much of it?

Look at this one. It's about that fucking vacuum cleaner with the face.

One of the few threads I've seen about this on 4chan, which I saw like a year ago, they were talking about one channel like this but it had some obviously intended to be disturbing. There was really weird things like real mouths being edited onto the characters and stuff, and I think there was some occult stuff in the videos too. The channel didn't have many views, but people who commented things would be replied to with evil-ish things by the channel. I guess it was meant to lure kids in and scare them or something. The guy in the videos had a really heavy german accent. I'm sorry I can't link it, but I'm pretty sure the channel was banned for breaking community guidelines or something.

Anyway, I'd go ahead and delve into this mysterious world yourself. See if you can find anything crazy and/or spooky and bring it back here.
>>
Well OP, I also looked into this in the past, and I found that all these cahnnels are just run by indians, which is why everything is so low quality, everyone has poor english skills and why there are milion of views.

Has anyone here had/still have an imaginary friend? I used to think that it was a pretty shitty idea, and was probably used by kids as a way to practice social interaction without having a chance of ruining their reputation with others, but after looking up some remarkably shitty sources it seems like there is a small amount of people who believe that imaginary friends can be created as adults. More than that, they think that with time and effort you can trick your mind into seeing and hearing them, and hold intellectual conversations with them. Does /x/ believe in this, too?

Do you think that imaginary friends can be created? Of any shape, color, or creed? Do you think that it's worth the effort and hassle of creating it just to have a friend? Do you think that the conversations and interactions you have with it would be meaningful, or that, since it's an imaginary friend that you created, you would already know all of it's opinions and would be able to know everything that it would do before it does them?

I've got an active social life and don't have any real need to have to create my own friends, but the thought of having a friend that would never move away or drift apart from me does intrigue me. It doesn't help that I'm a bit of a furry, so the "any size any shape" thing also appeals to me.

Let me know your thoughts, what you would do if you had an imaginary friend that you created, what kind of imaginary friend you would create.

Just remember OP, that this exists: www.hearing-voices.org/

In light of that though, I see imaginary friends as a proactive creation of the mind. If it helps you sort out yer troubles in isolated situations, or helps you practice social interaction, why, I'm all for it.
However, when your imagined cohort intrudes into real life, like that imaginary vagoo you have between your stubbly legs, then I consider it unhealthy. Get your vagoo surgery, or build a robot, but for the love of fucking god don't make me play along with your shitty imaginary world.

My imaginary world is superior. :)
>>
>>17258372
I didn't read all of that but an imaginary friend is nothing but the systems in your brain trying to form it's ID by selectively adhering to and disregarding the brains various attempts at surviving in its environment;
"Touch that bright orange warm thing" = burning your hand
"You should eat more of these, they make you feel good and more aware" = collecting food

An imaginary friend is the remnants of the brain trying to reconcile these apparently separate trains of thought until the dominate one will overpower the latter and it will be forgotten.

Your daily dose of sense from your friendly neighbourhood /x/phile

As for the imagining of a friend, I used to think it was stupid as well, but in my younger years of being an uneragefagg0t I drew a lot of comics and lived in continuous isloation. I'm still in isolation, but I routinely 'converse' with some of the characters from my comics. This may occur in the form of listening to music and imagining the characters play out some kind of scenario (who doesn't do this?), or it could be me on the shitter staring at the white wall in front of me, imagining what I'd say to the robot character who doesn’t poop.

I'm not entirely sure if that counts as imaginary friends, but aside from the hive mind that is 4chan, I've got my imagined comic book characters and white walls to talk to. Imaginary friends rock.

P.S. Aliens are fucking real.

Not in music or poems or any of that shit but true immortality?

I've heard some early achemists came close
