SPOOP OUIJA STORIES!
Has anyone on /x/ played with the talking board?
No, my family would disown me.
Also, my life is shitty enough as it is, I don't need anything sp00ky fucking with me.

ITT: wierd or spooky stuff you came up with while dreaming
I get vivid dreams while going to sleep after being really sleep deprived, they're half way between daydreams and deep sleep dreams, so I can remember them well and they're more coherent than usual dreams but are still weird.
The one that stuck with me was some scientists who are working at a research base on a frozen planet. Over the course of several weeks going out and collecting samples in the wilderness one of them starts seeing black sillouettes of people in the far distance, even though the planet's got no life, and the figures are standing slightly closer each time the scientists go out. The other scientists don't seem to notice them.
One time it's just him and another guy out in the middle of nowhere and the other guy tells him they're the planet's inhabitants and they just like watching people, nobody knows why they're there. But when he quizzes the guy again after they get back to the base the guy has no idea what he's talking about. Also a female scientist who stays in the base is having hallucinations, like a dead deer lying in the lab.
Thought it might be a fun starting point for a story, but I don't know where to take it.

One time, I dreamt that /x/ wasn't full of stupid fucking drug/dream experience threads (since that isn't paranormal -- everyone has dreams and can do drugs and experience weird things.) Of course, it only turned out to be a dream. 2 Spoopy 4 Me.

So for the past couple of months I've been listening to Dogman Encounters. The idea of a werewolf like animal roaming the woods is too badass. The callers seem legit. What's your take? Could they be real?
Furries for sure

They're very real and it's really disturbing. The show freaks me the fuck out on a level i didn't even know existed.

Fav episode?
My girlfriend can use visualization to an extent where it's like she can create her own dimension. She can create and go places in her mind and see, touch, smell, and feel them. Basically an internal holodeck. She said she was able to do it at a fairly young age.
How can I learn this skill? We want to both do it and attempt to find a way to share one, but first I must learn to do it. She can't really explain how it's done. Any suggestions?
Tesla did it by almost drowning then having a devastating, unchecked fever for like a week.
Godspeed, Anon.
Also, dreaming. Look into it.
Start with small objects, work up to full scenes.
Also start with areas/houses/rooms you know very well.
I also have this ability, it works fantastic in the trades industry because you can visualize shit and put measurements next to it, all in your head.
Its like having a $20,000 digital template machine all in your mind.

Hello /x/. A long long time ago I used to stream horror movies for this board. I wanna say I quit in 2010 or 2011 due to lack of time. I've recently gotten the itch to start back up, though. However I realized times have changed. I know the streaming program I used to use is probably no longer the best option. I'd say what it was, but it used to be word filtered. Let's just say it was Live.
I was wondering what the best program was for this kind of thing now, so I can bring back my old double feature. It's strange. /x/ used to have a bunch of streams going. Pretty much every night of the week you could find several channels all showing good stuff. Now, it's hardly seen, which is a shame, cause it was always fun watching movies with you guys.
streams vanished over time, think copyright or some shit
used to be in tinychat etc. back in '11-'12
>>17284013
There are no word filters on 4chan you fucking cunt now piss off
>>17284026
There are. And some words/phrases used to be instabanned. There's a reason "my face" became "mfw". You can thank an /sp/ mod for that some years ago.
I'm grasping at straws. I believe I have watched every video suggested, but I want more. I love the suspense and wind-up, and often psychological factors of found footage videos.
- Troll Hunter (Solid, Hard To Find English Sub)
- The Devil's Pass (Interesting, Lost Me At The End)
- The Banshee Chapter (Didn't Care For)
- The Borderlands (Ending Is Worth)
I have seen all of REC, but it was pretty mediocre. Blair Witch is a given, but that just annoyed me. There was another, the name escapes me, but it involved this guy and his girlfriend going out in search of bigfoot, and a long, awkward tent scene in which something huffs and rubs around outside of their tent for far too long.
I have watched a few Japanese found-footage films, Noroi being a gem amidst the pile, and one which I feel I could go and rewatch without getting bored.
As I said though, I've been hanging around /x/ for a long time trying to find decent titles, and now I am at a loss.
Feel free to suggest films. I'll look up each and every one, and even if it's a repeat, we can discuss the various titles that come up.
The Babadook is garbage.
>>17282410
I love the idea of found footage movies, but they all turn out to be garbage.
They always have great potential. The style is very engaging and makes the action feel more intense. You actually feel like you're with the main characters, as opposed to just watching them like many other movies.
The problem is they're almost always shit. My favorite found footage so far is probably Grave Encounters (the first and second). They're two of the most well done found footage movies I've seen. Very creepy and the characters are believable unlike many other found footage movies. I think I saw The Borderlands and it was pretty good as well, worth watching IMO. As Above, So Below had promise right up until the last 20 minutes or so. There's a movie called "Creep" which I saw and kind of liked. It's less scary and more creepy, but moderately well done and interesting. he movie Oculus was okay, not great by any sense though.
V/H/S also comes to mind, the first and the second are worth watching. I tried to watch the third but I couldn't get into it.The first Paranormal Activity movie isn't bad, and even the second one is okay. After the second their watchability goes way down, but it is an option if you really need something. Most of the other found footage movies on Netflix are just trash.
>>17282485
I forgot Sinister and The conjuring. Sinister isn't all found footage but it includes some footage elements that makes it pretty interesting. The Conjuring was one of the better ghost/demon found footage movies
I had mixed feelings about Grave Encounters. It was done... alright, but the effects really threw my immersion. They had great momentum with the film's pacing, and then now and then tilted on shitty graphical effects when things were already doing pretty well without them.
I'm running youtube on trailers for some of the others you mentioned, but I'm fairly sure I've seen them and just forgotten the names.
VHS didn't impress me much. Its effects and acting skills didn't bring much to the table, with people smirking or laughing while being stabbed.

Described by Time Magazine as a “televisionary,” Chris Carter created one of the most successful television franchises of all time with his award-winning “The X-Files.” The show ran a remarkable nine seasons on Fox, is still seen today in over 60 countries, spawned two films and several comic book and video game adaptations. The impact of Carter’s series is such that in 1997, Time Magazine named him one of “The 25 Most Influential People in America.” Carter also created the shows “Millennium”,“Harsh Realm”,“The Lone Gunmen,” and in 2016 will bring “The X-Files” back to television with a 6-episode limited run on Fox.

You are aware that humanity is going to die off in less than 20 years?
http://mic.com/articles/85541/nasa-study-concludes-when-civilization-will-end-and-it-s-not-looking-good-for-us#.2c9EdSy0N
By that I mean, the Common 9-5 folk will die off or live very shitty lives, while the 1% gets to go on doing there shit until the plebs (you and me) are gone.
How does that make you feel, Anon?
Update: NASA has issued a clarification about its role in the study, saying that while the study relies on NASA research tools developed for another project, it did not directly solicit, direct, or review Motesharrei's paper. "As is the case with all independent research, the views and conclusions in the paper are those of the authors alone. NASA does not endorse the paper or its conclusions."

Looks like I'm gonna be marrying rich & old. What are you fags gonna do?
So in regards to the location the OP was talking about in his story, I think I've found a lead to the area.
He mentioned it being about 30 miles south of Wells. After dropping some pins on 93 I finally got to the 30 mile mark and found a small road. The road itself ends quickly but on sattelite view you can see a small dirt road that goes on for a pretty long way. It's mostly flatlands and since the story mentioned a hill it has to be in the mountains the dirt road leads to.
Looking at the road on sattelite is pretty hard since it's low res and the general area looking like the surface of the moon doesn't help either. Will post pics soon.
Also, requesting E-Zed (the original story teller) to check this out.

The first person to read this has brown hair.
The phone will ring 30 seconds after reading this.
>>17289012
Well I read this and have brown hair, but after 30 seconds no phone call. Honestly I thought there might be one because I'm at work answering phone calls all day.
Close one.
>>17289012
Also brown hair. No call.
>>17289012
Same here. Brown hair, no phone call. What gives man? Statistically it's feasible that we all have brown hair so is there something OP missed?
Or is this horseshit once again?

Was Heaven's Gate right? Why were they so persecuted by the US goverment and society?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4tT-rNIxUjU
>>17281150
Nah sorry man but Heaven's Gate was wrong about everything. I don't know wether there is a god or an afterlife but I assure you with every fiber of my being it's not what Doe said was true. When the second leader (Ti) died it disproved their previous claim that her body would rise to heaven, It received backlash for supporting castration, keeping cult members from their families and just for being a cult in general. It is a very interesting religion though. The videos they left behind are very ominous and the fact that the website is still up and people answer emails for in is really paranormal
Da faq op those cult tapes are some supremely creepy shit

The autistic have always been persecuted OP thankfully they took the proper path and killed themselves and nothing of value was lost
