I found a black magic ritual for destroy the love between two people. Is it good?
>during waning moon
>take 4 tarot cards
>the death to north
>the tower to south
>10 of swords to east
>5 of words to west
>then you say:
"the death to break up a love
the tower to cause pain
10 swords that brings affliction
5 of swords for tears and despair"
>say these word looking at north while tearing a rose's petals off:
"love creates but love destroys
and no one can escape this spiral
with these words i break the love
that unites (her name) and (his name)
powerful forces, hasten to my call
come into the magic circle
and from here through this curse
reach the two lovers
and cause them desperation"
>you burn the rose

so /x/, how was it?

Well. Magic is psychological, your only possible gain will be that it does the damage in your own mind.

No way you could influence someones relationship without talking/touching/doing stuff yourself.

Lets have a meditation thread

I have a few questions for /x/. So I recently got back into meditation. I do vipassana and concentration meditation.

When doing concentration (samatha) I reach a state where I feel very focused, relaxed and an orgasmic feeling envelops me. This only recently started happening and when I think about it it is quite bizarre. Could this be access concentration or the first Jhana?

I'm interested in what people experience when they enter Jhana. For those that don't know there are supposedly 8 Jhanas, or states of absoprtion, that you can enter through concentration meditation (which is different from the more common mindfulness meditation).

What is the first Jhana like? Is it true you can experience other realms/lives in higher Jhanas?

More importantly, just post any experiences/questions you guys have with meditation

I got a question.

I have never really meditated by myself, except a few guided meditations off youtube. When I did them, I honestly don't feel like I was doing it right, since my experience if it was that I was merely lying down and listening to a voice and somewhat visualualizing energy inside my body. I have someone close to me who a few times have gotten me to meditate together with her, and she's been doing vipassana and chakra meditations and such, talking about experiencing orgasms in every single cell of her body etc.

I'm wondering if there's something I'm just not getting, since my experiences is just calmness and knowing that I'm sitting still, breathing, and that I think about meditation quite a lot, but can't seem to be interested enough to actually start practicing it.

How do I into, and what should a beginner expect to find in order to determine that I'm actually meditating?

Hey senpai. I practice hindu tantra.
The first jhana (or samadhi, i suppose theu are the same thing) i enter feels this way:
I focus on mu deity and keep repeating the mantra. Then at one moment i feel "sucked" backwards slightly. This causes me to see my mindspace as if i were watching from cinema. Increases my visualisation ability, and makes my face feel sorta numb. The numb feeling in the face is caused by a feeling as if my eyes were inside my head and i saw/felt my face from the inside of my head. Its a strange feeling, and goes away if i conciously note that its there.

The second stage is when i can significantly feel my nadi system. Usually it is only the surya and chandra nadi. This alows me to feel the individual smaller nadis also but to a lesser extent. Im usually inable to feel sushuma.

The third is when, well there isnt much to say about it. I loose the feeling of the earlier mentioned and any feeling of bidy at all. It more blisfull than anything else. I experience a white light/just emptyness filled to the edges with something. But there are still thoughts and i can continue concentrating on my deity.

Didnt go further.

The vipassana method is a recent development and not part of the types of meditation practiced and perfected for thousands of years.

If you feel lightheaded or other strange things and feelings start coming up, you're generally deviating from meditation. If you're thinking too much about how you're feeling or reacting to it, whether good or bad, you're straying from being aware of what's actually going on and getting infatuated with various illusions.

The first jhana generally involves a sense of well-being with the absence of gross thought-activity. The deeper jhanas don't really feel like anything - there's breath, bodily feelings, whatever else might be going on, but there's no judgment and no sense of witnessing events, of "I" being there. Eventually they're not differentiated at all. It's a place beyond self, beyond time, utterly serene. It's not transcendent or fantastical, doesn't involve feelings of grandeur or whatever, it's just very quiet and calm in its simplicity.

>>17327651

You should not try to determine anything or strive towards something, just let those types of thoughts settle and keep practicing. Whether the meditation is there or not, whether it feels right or wrong, you're still there, practicing, not getting swayed. It should not matter to you. That's a good attitude to have.

There is a second species on this planet. They’re not extraterrestrials. They’re very much with us. They have made maps in the previous ice age. The remnants of their civilization are all over the place, a lot of time along the coast. It’s submerged, because the sea level has gone by over 400 meters, but this group has large brains. They’re very distinct from Homo sapiens. Their DNA is so different that if the two species mated, their offspring would be infertile, and we know this because their DNA was just tested. There are skulls all over the place on Earth, because they have been with us, but after the ice age, there weren’t that many of them.

I'd never seen this posted before, but I thought you guys would find this interesting.

It's not immediately paranormal, but pretty creepy and definitely unusual.

Apparently, back in 2012, a guy in Ohio was taking a walk on his property, when he came across some whitetail deer in a pond. The first explanation that came to his mind was that some sort of poachers had killed them and dumped them, so the first thing he did was call fish & Wildlife and the game warden.

Once the bucks were pulled out of the pond, it became apparent that all three bodies were completely intact and they seemed to have drowned.

Anyone got any similar "Curious findings"? Not necessarily SCARY, but just really odd stuff that's been found?

It's possible there is some sort of toxicity to the water, maybe some wacky PH level. Seems weird, sure, but not the weirdest thing I've ever seen.
>>
Looks like the three deer entangled in each others antlers during a mating dominance fight or something, then they stumbled locked in head until they fell in the pond and drowned.

So I finally got to watching Marble Hornets and I really liked it. But I haven't been able to find another series like it that's finished.

What's another ARG/ARE based on the Slender mythos that's actually complete and easily accessible? I really wish I had watched this before the Slender mythos died out, it is very interesting.

glad you enjoyed the ride. your best bet is to hop on Clear Lakes 44, but two of the writers have left it altogether, so it's now just the guy who played Jay and some other new dude.
>>
>>17326764
I'm currently up-to-date on Clear Lakes 44.
I'm kind of glad they left THAC, because if they hadn't that'd mean Tim would have potential to be a main character in the series. I'd much rather we just have confirmation that they take place in the same universe, nothing more.

I hope the Operator is involved in some way in Clear Lakes 44, though. I have no idea where they're going with the story though.
>>
>>17326774
Operator will not be involved, they said that before they even started.

Joseph and Tim leaving is the worst thing that could have happened considering their writing is really what made Seasons 2 and 3 come to life. Tim himself WAS Season 3, and in my opinion, hands down, the best of the three.

Hey /x/ I was wondering what people's opinions on what are the most useful superpowers in the real world.
I mean, flying and super-strength are cool and flashy and all, but in reality, it wouldn't truly be useful in getting much of anything done.
so what do you think? Got any real world applications for anything?

Let's discuss Voodoo!

I'll have a question, but first here's a little background: so I've been studying Voodoo for months and I decided to give it a try.

But then I became a bit... skeptic, I guess.
Why?

So here's a religion with a lot of followers, with rich culture and an interesting synchrenistic "flavour", right?

Voodoo is originally a western African tradition, and it came to Haiti and New Orleans with the slaves.

And that's the cause of my doubts:
>Africa is still full of poor people
>slaves practiced Voodoo
>it was a cultural thing, they "magic" couldn't help them (ok, ok, I know, the slave revolts in Haiti, but still...)
>it mixed up with another religion (Christianity)
>most real practitioners are family members and never tell their secrets to outsiders
>again: Voodoo is really, REALLY a cultural tradition, if you're not born into it you'll never be a REAL practitioner

It seems that Voodoo is not a "powerful" occult path.
Africans are poor, slaves were... well, slaves, and it's full of cultural backgrounds, which makes it really difficult to learn if you're not one of them.

Are there any practitioners on /x/?
What do you think?

What ??

>>

Also this guy just strengthened my doubts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGWevKoBOiA

Voodoo is for those who came from African(-American) families.

Why would the Lwa help white people, for example?
>>
>>17324327
>>17324335

Another problem (for me): Many Voodoo rituals start with Christian prayers.

If their whole religion is basically about communicating with Christian saints and reciting Catholic verses, then... then it is Christianity!

Ok, the whole possession thing is pretty weird, but apart of that, it's 90% Catholic stuff.

So why would anyone practice Voodoo if you have a more "original" religion, Christianity (and no, I'm not religious)?

Hey /x/, so there is some weird fucking noises coming from outside my house right now, which isn't unusual because I live in quite a populated area. But there is something really strange about it. it's coming from a bushy area outside my house. I thought it could just be a homeless person who's just pinned out on something but it doesn't sound human, like it's a parrot talking or something.
I stuck my head out the window and it got louder and way more aggressive but it wasn't making any sense. I was uneased, but it didn't really freak me until I shouted out "are you ok?" and it replied with the exact sounding "are you ok?" exactly in my voice. It's just repeating it now.
I'm kinda freaked what should I do.
TL;DR: Weird noises coming from outside, unhuman like, what's my next step.
Pic of the area the noise is coming from.
