Ok /x/, this is probably a thread for lit but i'm hoping to get some good recs from you guys.
since September I started spending more nights reading. I wanted to rediscover what got me into the spooky stuff in the first place. so I manage to round up a good chunk of my horror/sci-fi library in order to re-read shit. and i'm going waaay back to elementary school (far left) going into middle school, high school and the now. i'm currently half way through house of leaves (end right) it's kinda small now but this is what has survived through like 6 houses and 3 live in gfs
so what are some good books I should add to my meager library?
>ignore the jackass cat

A lot of people confirmed that they lived a paranormal experience about their clinical deaths: When they "died" they felt like their spirit left their body, and then a "Light Person" tells him that it's not the time. (and boom resurection)
I'm scary about it. A light person? Like god? Is this the heaven? I never belive in God before this...
Doubt..

my father has been several times in clinical death.
i asked him once if he saw any spiritual shit like this and he said no.
he was a very religious person though.
visited church on almost every sunday.
the only time he saw some flashing lights was during some brain topography.

Yes, I'd say this guy is crazy enough to qualify for this board.
I could read these posts for hours... This guy needs to be famous.
I know about Disney and Kings Island. But does anyone know any other Amusement Parks that are haunted?
>>17322831
there is an abandon disney resort in the caribbean. something to do with the jungle book. they spent billions and then just abandoned it
Once in a while something rather... strange will happen at the wizarding world. The one that hasn't opened yet.
I'm sure there are some Six Flags parks that are haunted. I heard Six Flags Over Georgia and Six Flags St.Louis.
what dose 4chan no about john titor

He was an open lines caller on Art's C2C back in the early days, when Art opened a "time traveler line".
This open line segment was spurred on by a listeners comment, who was basing his disillusionment on the idea of time travelers. Which was based on (the outdated concept, mind you) of Stephen Hawkins comment that, "If time travel is real, where are all the time travelers?".
So Art opened lines addressing this issue. Numerous callers called in with their RP horseshit, but Art eventually settled on John Titors accounts and it blossomed from there.
Eventually it came to pass that it was some hoaxer calling in and trolling to the max. Good story but all bullshit.
However, the great thing about his story was how he managed to weave current (at the time) time travel theories with potential future political events and make it seem rather accurate for the era.
The fact that people are still talking about it today is rather astonishing. You can still find the original shows and the BBS that went with them. I actually have the entire BBS, forums and IRC archives of the event.
OP, you've posted enough about time travel over the last few days, take some time to research the physics involved in it and stop being such a goddamned Faggot

So, lemme know if you've ever had an experience like this.
I was at a gun show one time with my dad. We spent the entire day looking to sell a couple old rifles of ours. I was selling one and he was selling the other. (Both were Bannerman Krags for gun fans) I go over to a guy who's selling at one of the tables. He wants to buy it and wants to thoroughly check it out. So I look at his stock and pick up a Mosin Nagant, suddenly I see a flashback to some city, men are screaming in Russian, I aim down the sights of the Mosin and fire off a few rounds. Then, I run out and charge the enemy line with my bayonet out, a bullet, strikes the stock of the rifle and then one hits me. I flash back into my body at the gun show and look the gun over.
Sure enough, there's a bit of wood taken out of the stock of the rifle.
The salesman looks over to me and offers me $50 off of the Mosin for the missing wood (which makes it more dangerous unless I had gotten a new stock for it)
Any one else seen weird shit when they picked up an object like that?
>>17322591
No, but try picking up a bunch of other weapons next time. Might just end up a super assassin, or a patient in a psych ward from numerous mortal injury trauma experiences.

Are you sure that it isn't mining and free shit that isn't devaluing their existence?
If all the africans are wearing our hand-,me-downs what will the clothiers do? If all the kids are used to receiving relief-aid, why bother farming?
This is why none of the poor people in america do anything. It's why they're fat. Gmo's are a chemical-intensive banking scam. A way for rich people to open mines AND get an impoverished child workforce all at once.
Shoes and t-shirts are the conspiracy. Cotton is the conspiracy, corn that can't defend itself from pests is the conspiracy.
What are mirrors?
Do you have any paranormal experiences with mirrors?
What paranormal "powers" do mirrors possess?
It was believed that at the end of seven years each cell in the body had been replaced by another newer one. ( I know, brain cells don't do this. I'm just repeating what the omnipresent THEY said).. So at the end of 7 years you were sorta someone else. Thus when you broke a mirror with your image in it at the end of seven years you were someone else and the damage to you done by breaking your image was past. Note this is why you come of age at 21, a multiple of seven, and after you passed the 'dangerous' age of 13 you're not a kid anymore, because then you were the multiple of seven 14.
From the SANDMAN mythos:
Despair of The Endless lives behind mirrors. Those wishing to honor her keep a room in their homes that is free of all furnishings. Her cold, damp realm is of grey fog with mirrors floating about, through these she watches. Her familiars are rats, her sigil a hooked ring.
does anyone have that odd copypasta about something like sensations, body-like moving or something? the posters usually attach an old looking map of the galaxy. i thought id post it here because its spooky and id like to know more about it.

>Could JKR do better with her worldbuilding?
This sounds like someone's homework.
Of course she could have done better but there are 2 things to consider:
1) her target audience was kids and their attention spans are usually shit.
2) they weren't important to the main story.
If you want to see world building at its finest, look up Steven erikson malazan book of the fallen.
all things considered her worldbuilding is pretty good
I'll go with the anime school of magic
.. , in your opinion, that there are, or have been, paranormal occurrences or technological conspiracies on this planet?
A few years ago I saw something.. something which you may find compelling. Problem is, I'm gonna need your help finding it again.
During the mid-90's there was a Cops style tv show in Britain called "Police, Camera, Action". It ran for a decade and was very popular.
Towards the end of one particular episode, the narrator introduced footage of something odd that was caught by the on-board camera of a Police Helicopter one night.
The footage showed the chopper flying over an urban area at around 1am. As the on-board camera panned to the left, a "light" appeared from behind the helicopter, matching it's speed. The pilots talk briefly, and then the camera clicks to 2x zoom. The object still appeared to just be a "ball of fuzzy light", due to the dark contrast of the night sky, so the cameraman zoomed again, and flicked on the nightvision.
>Pic related is what the footage showed.
It was what appeared to be 2 men, in a trashcan, flying along side the helicopter. Furthermore, the guy furthest away appeared to be waving at the helicopter like a fucking japanese tourist, as if he was excited to be there and didn't realise how much of a WTF moment it actually was. Thr other person sat rigid the whole time with their arms locked, so I assumed he was the pilot.
The Helicopter Pilots both gave a mumbled "WTF IS THAT" type of response, before the object and guys slowly accelerated away from the helicopter and off into the night. The whole thing lasted 20-30 seconds.
I realise now, looking back, that whatever THAT was, has either been hidden from the population or was not of this earth.
I need help finding the clip. I've scoured the net.
bump, I'm on it OP!
>>17342246
>>17342249
Guys, if you found this clip you would be famous.
I think it could be that one piece of video evidence where everybody will have to finally admit.. "well ok, wtf WAS that?", because it was literally 2 guys in a flying trashcan waving at a police helicopter. There was no disputing it.
I always assumed it was some college kids who'd invented something amazing that would be shared with the world one day, but 20 years later and still nothing. It makes me wonder..
