Hi /x/, I need some creepy radio or podcast recommendations.
My favorite atm is actually the in-game radio in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines.
http://debofnight.andcuriouser.com
Other than that I've only listened to the podcast Welcome to Nightvale.

'Knifepoint Horror'; I haven't been able to find better audio horror fiction than this.
Was Bowie trying to tell us something with his last album, Blackstar?
Released two days before his death to cancer, it is the last album from the rockstar who has been known for his interest in the occult, particularly the kabbalah and heremeticism.
The music videos for 'Black Star'
and 'Lazarus'
in particular have been controversial for their display of what appears to be occult symbolism.
Is there a message here or is it just artistic decoration?
Its less about the symbolism of the objects like major tom's skull or the bible with the star, but more about the movement of the characters. The movements are all about vibrating energy, and then moving that energy through the body.
Even when he's dying he's still shaking with energy
an rock star with the interest in occult !?
well fuck me
I'd be interested in anyone's input on this.
Listened to a podcast not too long ago that talked about Bowie and the Occult after his death. Always been a fan, but it got me curious and I have been listening to his stuff a lot more recently from this perspective.
Maybe it's just me, but I don't know... the Occult angle really hasn't struck me as significantly as I've seen it being portrayed. A song here, maybe a line in another there. A lot of his more recent albums seem devoid from any of it at all... until Blackstar.
What am I missing /X/?

What do you think we will do when and if we finally discover extraterrestrials? What do you think we SHOULD do?
If we do discover alien life, I'm not sure we'd ever be able to interact with them face-to-face. People have searched far and wide for them, so chances are they'd be too far away for an expedition.
I don't even care if we do anything, I just want the news to explode one day with official declarations of alien discovery.
>>17379153
That's the wrong question. We have been discovered by them. Then why did they choosed not to talk to us?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDYuaOWMU3Q
>>17379180
Because for the vast majority of people, their appearance, to us, is highly traumatic.
But they've given our government an ultimatum; disclosure regarding them or THEY will do the disclosing.
Right now our government is stalling, and strong arming other national goverments into keeping hush hush.
Time is short, truth must be revealed.
Make your time, Humans.

Hey /x/, share your experience with psychedelics. What psychedelics helped you to realise about anything, that you didn't see before, but it was obivious?
>>17378938
LSD makes you notice a shitload of things in movies and video games and music that you would otherwise never notice
usually minute details, and once you see them you literally cannot unsee them
All the "realizations" I made on psychedelics were temporary mental memes. I felt the connections between everything, "oneness" and all that other hippie dippy shit. I've tripped 5 times. One of those times I shat my pants, and the cops came.
...
OP don't do it.

by shat my pants, I mean literally shat my pants.
I pooped my pants.

1) Don't start How do we fix /x/?, what's wrong with /x/, the cancer that's killing /x/, I'm slightly miffed at /x/, anything at all fucking similar about /x/, threads.
2) Ignore 'proof' threads. They are shills trying to stir up argument.
3) Mods, see 2). Delete this crap as soon as it appears.
4) Don't post stuff which belongs in /sci/ or /pol/. It's obvious. If it isn't obvious, go somewhere else.
Do you have a special ability?
Can you do something weird that only you can do?
Post here!
As a kid, I could predict the result of any football (soccer) match that I was watching. It only worked when I was watching on TV. I couldn't predict the exact scoreline, but I could predict the Winner or Loser of that game. I had a 100% hit rate, yet knew absolutely fuckall about football.
I'm not even sure how it worked. I'd start watching the game and after a few minutes would either feel "sympathy" for one of the teams. ( the losing team). or "hatred" for one of the teams (the winning team). I didn't even like football desu.
The strangest example came in the 90's. I'd arrived at a friends house one evening, Arsenal were on TV. My friends, being Arsenal fans, were all hyped and trying to pump themselves up. "we're gonna win 7 nil" etc.
I looked at the screen and blurted out.. "Bergkamp will score on 33 minutes, 1-0".
The minutes rolled by.. 29.. 30.. 31.. 32.. 33...
Suddenly a corner.. it's crossed in.. the balls bouncing around.. it finds a red shirt.. It's Bergkamp!.. He shoots!....
Arsenal 1, Bergkamp 33'
Everyone just looked at me.
Years later, when I took an interest in football, the players, the rules etc, the ability to predict the game wore off. Now, I'm shit at it.

Isn't it eerie how there aren't any fatally dangerous animal species that can rival humans? In the age of dinosaurs. There were anacondas 30 feet long (named titanoboas). Horrific gigantic predators that ate sharks while simultaneously eating any moving thing on land (spinosaures). T-Rex's with the reputation of the deadliest dinosaur that roamed the earth. 50 foot, 4 dozen ton blood thirsty sharks.(megalodon). 40 foot long ruthless crocodiles (named sarcosuchus). Dinosaur killing machines with literal armor protection that grew 30 feet in length (ankylosaurus). And now, as humans in this day and age can go literally anywhere on Earth and not have to worry about getting eaten by animals that would have absolutely destroyed us at first contact?
Look at today's most dangerous animals. They're preschool kids compared to the homicidal things that walked the earth millions of years ago. Our dangers of today are mosquitos. And we can set up lights to zap them now. Sure there's a lion and shark attack every now and then. But they're not in critical danger of ending the human race.
My point is it all just seems too perfect. Too good to be true. There's no water animal or land animal that we truly have to watch out for. Why isn't there? What makes our timing so right? If Trex's lived today, humans would have to make them extinct to servive. Yet there's no such animal hunt. Sure we have to kill rats and coyotes to save livestock. But they aren't endangering the human race.
What if there was such an animal that some humans took care of? But for reasons unknown, the majority weren't told about. Or instead this could all add to proof of a Matrix. Or proof of God. It's all just too faultless. Too absolute. What do you think?
Our dominant role on earth certainly holds us to a higher standard, doesn't it?
It doesn't...

I stayed up 4 days straight doing a uni assignment at the last minute. Took dexies for the first 2 days. Right at the end I experienced fairly vivid hallucinations such as shadow figures in peripheral vision, a snake crawling out from under my keyboard and constant vision like life was running at 5fps.
After submitting the assignment at uni I laid down in the library on a couch and slept for 5 hours until they kicked me out.

Good morning /x/. We hope you’re well. Settle down, settle in, grab a blanket and a nice cup of tea. You’re listening to The /x/ Radio Show.
Today we’re bringing you the pilot episode of a monthly podcast dedicated to the creepy, the kooky, the mysterious and the spooky. Please join us as we hear reports from the frontier of human exploration, warnings from beyond the realms of plausibility, musings from a group of horror film experts and finally a message from our owner and overlord, a twisted being with a flair for the theatric.
The entire show is 60 minutes long but we’ve broken it down in to easily digestible chunks for you. Feel free to skip around and listen to the show in any order you like.
The incident report from Dyatlov Pass will commence immediately after this introduction at 2:03. It’s a short report that some in our communications department refused to believe. Make up your own mind when you hear the chilling tale.
At 5:37 a field correspondent will relay his latest foray in to urban exploration. Oddly though, he’s still in the field, communicating with us through the marvel of wireless broadcast. He won’t leave for some reason, let’s hope that he’s fine and dandy.
If you want to hear about a collection of fine cinematography, and some not so fine cinematography, skip to 22:55 to hear our in house horror buffs chit-chatting.
Our lord, master and one true king will be presenting his own musings at 46:48, so if hearing the words of a superior being is your thing, that’s your target.
If you’re listening to this podcast live on the /x/ listenalong thread please pitch in with your thoughts, comments and opinions on the show. Keep an eye out for teasers and titbits related to the show. You might see something you like.
But most of all, get comfy and enjoy the show.

wtf. is this for real?
Old thread died, here's a new one. Topics to discuss include:
Dreams and their interpretation
Nightmares and generally creepy dreams
Lucid dreaming
Precognitive dreams
Sleep paralysis
Hypnagogia
Sleep walking and talking
Exploding Head Syndrome and other audio hallucinations before or after sleep
I had this dream a while ago around September of last year
I was downstairs in my basement sitting on the recliner watching a movie on the big TV we have down there. It was some futuristic movie where the plot was, and I remember hearing this in my head exactly, "what if the aliens were roll reversal-ed and the simians were the creators"
So I'm sitting there in the recliner watching this movie, and there's this seemingly female blue eyed alien with really pale blue-grey skin. she was saying something and seemed to be crying. there was what seemed to be an entirely white human mannequin (like those used in anatomy class) off to the side with part of it's brain exposed, the brain was colored pink.
I got really fixated on this female alien, specifically the eyes. I fell into some kind of trance state. Then comes the visions. Looking at that alien in the movie apparently caused some Vietnam Vet tier flashback. I started wincing in pain and grabbed my head. All the light in the room went off, including the TV. Off to my right I saw a large shadowed figure. In my mind I knew what it was. It was like I had seen it before. It just sort of buzzed into existence right there like a graphical error on an old CRT tv. I remember thinking something along the lines of "It must be time" I reached out my hand towards it.
Then suddenly a face flashes through my mind. It replaces everything. The TV, the chair, the shadow, the whole basement was gone. All I could see is this face obscured by blackness. Huge dark oblong eyes but with what seemed to be points on either end. It had really dark grayish blue skin. I remember the feeling of fear was tremendous. I don't think I've ever felt so afraid in my life.
Then I woke up in my bed. only this time I wasn't shitting my pants like you usually do when you wake up from a nightmare. My heart rate was barely elevated despite having that terrifying dream.

My dreams (that i remember) are usually bordering nightmarish but i don't feel truly uncomfortable
For example i am usually going really fast as if i'm running from something or trying to get somewhere but i simply run without any direction or like in a maze or something.
yesterday I dreamt I was being chased by some mermaids
I managed to get to a beach and started running alongside it
one of the mermaids was still following me and at one point made a creepy demonic face when her head rose above the water
I read that dreaming about mermaids is not good
