Recently I began to dabble in the paranormal and I decided to try and contact these spirits. All of my family members and especially the elders tell me not to. I think that they are just messing around saying that the taotaomona can kill me and stuff like that. Most of my searches come up fruitless until late November 2 years ago. I go to visit my aunt and I hear her son in the other room. I go to see what he's doing. while I walk down the hallway I can hear him talking to someone and when I get to his room no one is there with him

He's saying things like "Why does that man have no head' and other spoopy shit like that. Go to my aunt and tell her. She freaks out and takes him into the living room and searches his body for bruising or scratch marks. She decides to call a witch doctor (I forgot how to spell the name). Witch doctor comes and whips up some potion and stirs it with a chickens feather and makes the kid drink it. I feel that I've overstayed my welcome and I go home

That night I get ready for bed but I feel like someones there at my house. You see I live alone in a small apartment and I don't get guests often. Anyways I search my house and go to sleep. I had this nightmare of a hut on fire and people screaming. The only thing I can see is the burning hut and nothing else, all around me is dark and it feels like cold. I'm abruptly pulled out of my dream by my bed shaking as if someone was trying to get me up. This is roughly at 5:00 in the morning and I guess the bed shaking woke up my neighbors because i can hear them hitting the wall and shouting to quiet down. I jump out of bed and run outside.

To start, I've always believed in an afterlife but now I dont. I used to believe in God but now I dont. I just want peace, eternal nothingness. Anything after death would be the definition of hell.

I think they are real, I've seen 3 different ghosts. People think I'm full of shit but when you have about 10 people confirm they all saw the same thing I've seen with out ever mentioning it to them, it's interesting how people say"ghosts and demons and other things like that aren't real."

i then had a strange dream that i was in my room walking tword the door, and a loud thump sounded on the wall next to me, woke with a start. i later moved out of my moms house after my ex left me, i moved somewhere and i didnt think it followed at first, i could be wrong, i sent for my stuff, then the knocking resumed

after that i moved to a difrent place with a family i was freinds with, ex from highschool u know how that can be, they had a young baby aged like 2-3. at night i could hear him yelling in his room. and when we checked on him he always pointed to the closet, the darkest place in the room when the light was on. (red fuckking flag 5) i only put up with the guilt for a little while. moved out knowing i was sleeping easy because it chose him as a easyer target. then once back at my moms the hellish nightmeres returned in full force.

after i was home their was a morning and i think it was winter, i was watching adult swim on the couch in the liveing room, i heard a sound like a open hand slaping the wall and looked at the time 2:00am. exactly on the fucking dot. so i got freaked out ran the fuck out of the house and went to the gas station in town. i had a freind their, anyways she called awhile later and tore my heart out again, i got wicked drunk and i might have told her. but she didnt beleive if i did or not. shit went on for a bit, then it got worse, my mind is no longer my own. still im in control, but it has my thoughts.

Not really all that "out there" for this place, still I wonder how much of the population is naturally resistant or immune to suggestions and the mechanism responsible for accepting or rejecting a hidden suggestion.

Any psych majors/dabblers have an opinion on the subject?

My own unqualified opinion is that some people like myself have deep seated authority issues and won't accept any authority as being higher than their own.
