10 Cloverfield Lane (yes, the ending is retarded, but it's basically a good psychological thriller with horror elements if you just stop it 10 minutes before the ending).

Mulholland Drive (IDK if it's really horror but it's /x/-ish and pretty unsettling).

The Ring.

It follows. It has like one good scene, where the tall guy walks in through the door, it's totally un-scary other than that.

The Witch. It's a good movie in certain respects but the scare factor is so low I can't recommend it to a horror fan. The ending is also a joke.

Anything before 1970. The fact is, horror is part art, part science. The art of scaring people objectively improves with time, and the fact is, yesterday's scares usually suck. Occasionally you'll find some movies that are ahead of their time, like The Thing or Alien, but honestly, before 1970, there's nothing scary, period. I always roll my eyes when some fedora tries to unironically say Nosferatu is a good movie.

The last time I tripped on acid, before my rebirth, I took my highest dose of 4 150mcg hits. I tried to pray for God but I instead attracted an extremely negative entity who called himself Michael and posed as the arch Angel. In my ecstasy and ignorance I failed to realize none of my questions were being answered. Never met an entity per say (not while tripping anyways) but i do saw the universe.

I was back when i started smoking weed before meditating. I was gifted three blunts of the strongest weed i ever had (i have been a smoker for around 10 years. Only weekends)

I started meditating and my mind got in blank, i didn't felt anything or thought about anything. Then i saw something like purple shiny lights, they formed strings of what it seemed like an endless net.

When i tried to move, i felt like i couldn't. It didn't took me long to realise why. I was part of the net. Everything was, the net was the universe.

Now, it took me some time to ''awake'', and i suffered a mild depersonalization for it (which made me quit weed). But it's still the most psychedelic experience i have ever had, and changed my view of life.

We are part of something bigger than us. Everything is.

Anti-Cosmic Satanism (Current 218):

Came to public attention when one of the founders of the movement, Jon Nodveit (lead singer of popular metal band Dissection), shot himself in the head while sitting in front of a copy of Liber Azerate, a Current 218 grimoire, shortly after getting out of prison and releasing the album Reinkaos, which elaborates the cult's beliefs.

Current 218 calls for the destruction of the cosmos and the omnicide of the human race, and supports evil for the sake of evil. As usual, it supports crime, terrorism, Adolf Hitler (but not Nazism, which in their opinion isn't hateful enough), senseless violence, gang activity, human and animal sacrifice, and just all kinds of interesting stuff.

Although it was inspired by ONA, it takes things a step further in that it doesn't perform evil acts in the furtherance of a set of political beliefs, but rather evil for its own sake, and hopes to eventually destroy humanity through the use of a nuclear bomb.

Perhaps most disturbing of all, it's becoming extremely popular. Dozens of 218-inspired bands have popped up over the last few years, and the metal band Watain, successor of Dissection and staunch supporter of Current 218's evil philosophy...

...regularly sells out at venues around the world...

...and has been nominated twice in a row for Swedish grammy awards, winning once (the results aren't yet back for the second nomination).

Hey there, /x/ does have drawthreads every now and then, but they're not as common as they used to be.

I'd like to make a request that I made in another thread that didn't quite pan out. It's the antagonist of a post-apocalyptic fantasy story I'm writing. He's on a mission to obsessively pursue the protagonist and his friends, being influenced by the Elder God responsible for the destruction of civilization. The character is heavily involved in the occult, and wears a welding mask to shield himself from light, after his retina's suffered damage when he summoned the God. He usually wears a tattered coat engraved with numerous sigils and markings, with some supernatural trinkets as well. His skin should be remarkably pale, as he'd rarely remove the mask, and should look sort of like a re-animated corpse. Think of him as a cross between a fantasy "dark knight" and an unkillable slasher villain, with some form of melee weapon like a hammer or machete.

He's not entirely a monster, however, and is still reluctant to follow some of the God's heinous orders. In the end he always obeys, as he believes that humanity should not survive in this new world, and that they don't deserve their place in the universe. He ends up redeeming himself once he fails his mission and his God abandons him.

Don't know if you need backstory, but he used to be the protagonist's friend before the apocalypse, but never grew out of his hatred and egotistical nature. He's also reluctantly infatuated with another main character, and has to constantly decide between his loyalty to his god and his desire to not be alone. He's responsible for summoning the God in the first place through ritualistic mass murder, though he was manipulated through forces beyond his understanding, and isn't an entirely awful human being. It's also implied that he can't die after being exposed to the God's influence, and this is more of a curse than a blessing, though it makes him a relentless villain.

The first 20 pages or so of Communion: A True Story, by Whitley Strieber. The way he describes his panic while being "visited" is bone chilling.
