Last night in my dream I was in a resident evil meets The Crazies type apocalypse with my gf in some old building trying to survive. Well sometime when I was in a different room she dissapeard and so I got my friend to help. Then Eros came along and told me about Hermes' secret wormholes, and how uses them to travel long distances quickly. So I found one in the building and traveled to my grandfathers house and found the next one that brought me to waking up.
I'm convinced that this is a sign there are more pocketed wormholes that will transport me places and I need to find them.
Thoughts?

Hello everyone, i think this is some paranormal shit, so i came here for your help, recently this kid at school kept saying weird shit happen, obviously we all laughed at him. And the whole week he kept telling us someone was following
him, one day he invited like 10 people over at his house late at night when his parents were not home, we were all a bit scared, but we still did not believe. He had only 1 working light bulb in his room, but yea that made no difference. He showed us that picture, i will keep posting about this, is this a secret paranormal shit? And try to see if you can find some secret in this image.

Can anyone help me find out what I saw?
I experienced something paranormal when I was a child and still have no explanation for it.
I would always have to sleep with someone in my house because I believe it was haunted.
One night in particular, I saw sleeping in my grandpas bed, I was maybe 7 or 8. My grandpa was a very 'holy' man. Opened the church every Sunday morning, tons of crosses, pictures of mary, bibles, jesus etc. The works.
Anyways, I awoke one night and sat up and looked into the closet. It was PITCH BLACK, blacker then the unlit room that my eyes had adjusted to.
I saw multiple red eyes in the closet. I froze in fear and laid back down while my grandpa was still sleeping. I was so afraid to open my eyes that I eventually just passed out after what felt like hours.
I tell this experience to people and I get the same explanations, light from the window(there was no lights outside), I was dreaming( I distinctly remember waking up for no apparent reason and looking into the closet, as if I felt something, some sort of presence, like an instinct ), to that I'm making it up.
I believe it was some form of demon.
What do you guys think?

Listen, I've had several times where I wake up in a dream and it felt completely legit until I end up waking a second time.
I even had a similar experience but at a slightly younger age.

>Wake up to dark room
>the door leading out was pitch black

That shit scarred me for a long time, but in the end it was just a dream even though it felt real as fuck.
Point is, what you experienced was more than likely a dream too. What it means I have no idea. Mine still makes me feel fear.

Shadow men e/x/plained
This is a more medical POV of the phenomenon, If you don't like it, don't come.
So, I've seen a lot of "shadow men" threads lately and I saw the weirdest explainations, so now, I'm gonna give you the truth.
Shadow men often come during sleep paralysys, half-asleep states or hallucinations, and here's why: out brain tends to complete our thoughts prematurely using images of things we know, so, if I'm afraid of the darkness (does that ring a bell? You know, children experiences...) I will think of a shadow, but since a shadow alone isn t much, my brain will compute that along with a figure of noone, creating the so famous "shadow man".
It can also occur that, If you are half-asleep/in sleep paralysis, your brain tries to project one of your fears of "someone you know" but you can't quite process it, thus creating the whole "he s there but not entirely".
Please, discuss.

like your only suppose to have a dream after about 2 hours of sleep when you enter R.E.M state sleep. rapid eye movement sleep. but i have dreams some times after only a minute and wake up almost as fast when i check a clock. sleep dream wake up 10 minutes
i dont remember my dreams often usually its fade to black so if i wake up and know i had one its memorable

What is more intriguing to me is the notion that the frontal cortex can project and is generally held to be responsible for tracking things that are out of sight, but can reasonably be expected to be there. I.e. you know the person you were talking to didn't just disappear when you turned around to focus on other things. Perhaps the amplification of that sensation through selective activation in the brain might lead to these spooky sensations, but I am not entirely convinced that a concrete explanation can conclusively prove, nor satisfy the spook in the case of shadow people.

Is there any case of purported ESP or psychic ability (PK) that isn't an obvious forgery or hoax? The only one I can think of is that of Nina Kulagina, and even so, it's suspect because of the fact that it was Soviet propaganda.
Most - if not all - cases have been proven hoaxes. Does /x/ know of one that at least appeared plausible?
