I've just been to the woods with my bike. As I'm writing this I just got home. I'm scared as fuck.
Basically I got to the spring that it's said to be haunted and immediately I heard weird sounds like stew bubbling, real weird. Then I heard a sound like a monkey combined with a dog. I literally jumped on my bike and ran like hell back home. Before that, I took 2 pictures.

So /x/, I haven’t been here for quite a while. Sorry if I misspelled something; english is not my first language.
A bit of backstory: Since I was a kid, I was kind of interested in meditation and stuff; tried some shit like looking at myself in the mirror. Nothing really came out of that, except that from time to time my forehead would start burning for like no apparent reason.
Years passed, I tried it a few more times over the years; nothing really happened. Until now.
Some months ago, I decided to give it another shot. After a few weeks, I started feeling a tingling sensation on the left side of my back. At first I would only notice it when I paid attention. One day, the sensation started out of nowhere (I was studying at the time) and didn’t stop for a long time. It was almost always there; if I focused on it, it started reaching the other side of my back.
But it didn’t stop there. Some weeks after that, I started feeling like I had a ball or something in my back. I don’t know how to explain it. It doesn’t hurt; it’s quite a funny feeling when I’m walking. Again, it came out of nowhere. The first time it happened was when I was getting out of the cinema with my mother. After been in a chair for like 2 hours, I stand up and felt it. It’s getting more and more frequent; heck, I’m feeling it right now as I’m writing this.

And again, it didn’t stop there. The tingling began in other parts of my body, mostly my hands, chest, legs and tailbone. Sometimes, I feel it going upwards from the bottom of my spine. Quite a pleasant sensation. And like a week after, I began to notice some kind of warm going through my hands.
As for what I have been doing for this to happen, mostly positive affirmations and a few mantras from pic related. Now it has reached the point that I don’t even need to sit down still to feel it (not that I don’t do it anymore); I can just put one of them as background music and it works too. Sometimes through the day I listen to some music on the street, restaurant, etc, and feel it too. Sometimes I just start chanting inside my head and again it works.
So /x/, am I doing it right? Am I in for the wild ride?

try channeling the energy you get to your hands on parts of your body, like for say your stomach, and see if you feel anything from it.
pretty impressive if it's what i expect, since most people have to take lessons to learn that sort of thing.

Holy shit guys! In relation to all this Houston stuff, I just remember that around 8pm CT, when I came back from work, I sat at my couch and was feeling tired. I decided to close my eyes and just sleep but I was just getting nonsensical imagery that was probably just neurons going off in my brain. This reason I say this is because after all that happen I saw the words "Texas" and immediately opened my eyes and gasped for air as if I was being deprived of oxygen. I didn't think much of it until four hours later. I'm not much of a spiritual person as I occasionally lurk on /x/ but what do you guys think?

What I am about to tell you is a true story. You can choose to believe it or not. Personally it freaks me out but paranormal fans will get a kick out of it. To this day this is the one thing that makes me believe in the paranormal. It's hard to doubt when you've seen something with your own eyes after all.
About 20 years, from the point where I was 4 until I was nearly 8, I lived in a small 2 bedroom apartment in Alabama. My parents wanted a fresh start when my younger sister was born so we lived several states away from the rest of our family. This will matter later.
In this apartment, when all the lights were off and everyone was asleep I would regularly see a grey man. It wasn't that his skin was grey or he was wearing a grey suit. It was like he was made of grey light, similar to this picture I found.

The grey man would only ever appear in my room, or rather the room I shared with my sister. Most of the time he just paced back and forth, never making a sound. Sometimes I would wake up and he would be standing over me. It never made any noise, it never did anything but pace and stand but I was still terrified of it.
I tried to convince myself it wasn't real, that I was just scaring myself. That never got rid of it though. Eventually we moved and I forgot about the grey man until one night I was at my grandmothers a few years later(I was about 15 I think).
I think the conversation started with something about aliens, I honestly can't recall. We got to talking about paranormal stuff and I told the story of the grey man. My grandmother thought it was cute and told me he was probably my guardian angel. I wasn't religious but for about ten seconds there I was immensely relieved.

I am really sorry for this thread but I have been looking for a screengrab of a thread from a long ago, with no avail. It was about a russian [s]or similar[/s] war criminal who killed a bunch of innocents, he lived in a forest and one day the ghosts of those he murdered came back for him as some sort of beasts. He locked himself in a room and kept the thread updated, even managed to set up a stream of a sort I believe but in the end he killed himself with a grenade, and there were some screenshots of a news story about an explosion in the woods along with some satelite images of the suspected place

being honest OP i think most lucid dreaming techniques are all the same thing; just meditate without moving a muscle until you induce sleep paralysis, then go off into the dream world. also working out strenuously throughout the day has dramatically increased by dreaming ability, i'll run a mile or two in the morning then lift around 4pm, then bedtime by 10. since my body's so tired its easier to meditate to sleep and i'll be able to have and remember a dream or two vividly the next day. eating bananas and not smoking weed help a lot too.
