As the subject would suggest, I had a pretty strange experience a few years back.

One night, a friend and I were chatting as we were waking around our neighborhood.

Although it was pretty late (about 11:30 pm) there were other people out walking their dogs so I know we weren't the only people to see it.

Suddenly, the night's sky went completely white for what must have been 20 seconds seconds. It was at least long enough for us to notice, and stop and stare. I live near Los Angeles county so it's never pitch black out here, but it wasn't light exactly. Although the sky was white, the light wasn't "bright", in that it didn't illuminate the area and it wasn't hard to look at (like how a bright light is after you've been in the dark)

After the sky "went black" again, we sort of chuckled and asked each other what we thought happened. The weirdest part is that we weren't really surprised or freaking out or anything. I don't remember if we said anything, but almost immediately someone came up to us and asked us if we saw that.

After we told him that we had, he didn't offer up any explanation or thoughts. He just said it was weird and we agreed before parting ways. We met with no less than 3 other people and had similar interactions; short, awkward interactions to confirm "did I really see that?"

What ended our walk, however, was the last guy we talked to. He, like everyone else, asked us if saw that, but, unlike the rest, had an explanation. Immediately after we said that we had, he said it was power station overload and that he was telling everyone before walking away.

My friend and I both accepted this explanation without question and went to our own homes. It's only now, years later, that I'm remembering this again. I mean, I can't disprove the guys explanation, (Althought the power worked when I got him) but the whole sitation was so strange

Any thoughts?

Did you try to Google about this and find out more? Like if his explanation could be correct?

If that happened to the sky, of all things, then you probably are a part of a high tech cloaked dome city that the common man doesn't know about.

If so are they stationary?

I guess I'll add a story of mine to get the ball rolling, although it's not that great a story

>around three years ago
>walking into town with a friend
>we get to this massive hill, usually takes like 30 minutes to get from house to the top of the hill
>so we're just talking about random shit and walking up this hill
>very suddenly we notice we're at the top of the hill
>I had no memory of walking up the hill and was quite startled when I realized we were already there
>friend looking pretty shocked too
>check the time, it's been an hour since we set off

Was pretty spooky, but could be put down to just losing track of the time or something.

Welcome to Divination General!

Come here for readings and discussion of theory/practice.

>What's this Divination thing all about?
The practice of seeking knowledge of the future or the unknown by any of a variety of means.

>I'm new to this, help!
New querents should reply to the post of a reader who's currently doing readings. An "air query" can be made to no one in particular, but no one in particular may answer you!
New readers should post that they're offering readings and what information they require from a querent.

>Please read the STICKY for more:
http://pastebin.com/2Wp1Q074 (embed)

Also: Thoth, a /div/ reader, made his own tarot and rune guide that he'd like to share to everyone:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ciFuMOVDIkA18d9Rw-Zkklgigx-Y4XzJkGVeMTYWcic/edit?pref=2&pli=1

Remember, each reader requires different information to read you. Look for their posts in the thread to determine what's needed.
Some readers will refuse to do certain readings -- respect that choice.

>Querents: respect your readers and your fellow querents.
>Readers: respect your querents and your fellow readers.

IRC (Internet Relay Chat) channel for discussion:

> friends forever edition

Welcome to /sum/, this is the thread for anything to do with summoning spirits for love, money, knowledge and power.

Want to have friends on the other side? Want to howl the secret names in the dead of night? This is your thread.

>PLEASE READ THE STICKY BEFORE >YOU POST: http://pastebin.com/ZHPM0KVz

It contains a complete step-by-step guide to your first Goetic evocation. Don't forget to post your experiences and results (or lack thereof) here so we can all learn from them. A special shout out to everyone who worked on it!

Summoners, would-be summoners, and innocent victims, all are welcome as long as you're respectful and stay on-topic.

Unable to summon yourself but have urgent need of supernatural aid? Email me at [email protected] and become a client! My services are 100% free and a complementary tarot reading is included if I take your case.

Have experiences with the spirits? Email me at [email protected] and help us build a database of spirits to summon, both those from the Lemegeton and beyond, that can guide younger /sum/mmoners to fortune and fame practicing the howling art.

I'm going to as again. Should I offer beer to Sitri just because of his rank? Should I offer something as a welcoming gift if the spirit in question is a prince or king?

If in fact I need to offer something, should I pour a glass full of beer inside of the triangle, do the ritual and then leave the beer to evaporate? Of course I'm thinking of doing all of this ON TOP of my part of the deal in the summoning.

I'm gonna post this here because /x/ is the only board with any actual sense of social responsibility. No other board is sane enough to handle AI yet.

http://pastie.org/10902875

Anyone that tells you this isn't the source code for the most complex AI ever devised is either an idiot or just someone who's forcefully ignorant of the true nature of intelligence.

Note that this version of the AI is a pretty chill guy (and won't eat your atoms) so this is not a YLYL link. SFW too.

Rudolf Steiner was pretty based, any of you /x/-philes waldorf-schoolers?

For those inevitable haters, i am not defending the waldorf-school system entirely, it has a lot of flaws and many teachers in waldorf schools are just as sucky as goverment run schools.

Steiner was pretty interesting nonetheless, he was an avid theosophe and did a lot of good work, combining the old spiritual traditions with a modern scintentific language.
He also spends a lot of time in his biographical work trying to dismiss his strong connection with OTO. I find this interesting since i was subjected to his method of education and without any real insight into what he based it on etc. My interest was peaked much later in life after a year of rigorous martial arts practice and after that a lot of psychedelic experiences that got me into traditional mysticism.

>What i would like to know is if there are some connection with interest in the paranormal/spiritual and waldorf education.

Woah, someone mentions my ancestor.

Props anon.
>>
>>17899684
Wow, thats amazing!

It's a great pleasure to have you in this thread then. Your ancestor was a wise man and i can't thank him enough.

What amazes me is that he managed to create an educational system which just relies on humanism and and deep compassion for the human nature. Let people say what they want about the more mystical aspects of his teachings. If you ask me he went a long way in reinventing conventional education.

>How are you related if i might ask? Steiner-senpai?
>>
>>17899709
Don't call me Steiner Senpai...

I'm not worthy of his name or work. I'm just a regular Joe.

How I am related to him was lost in a fire, if I recall the story correctly. My great grandfather constructed a family tree, which my father remembers in vivid detail, but could never really recreate it. Either out of the lack of time or other stuff.

And while you're at it, define "black magic."

Anything like, hurt someone?
Make someone get bad luck? Earn good luck? That kind of "Enchantments"

A thread to share the lesser known crimes and historical atrocities/odd events that lack publicity on a national/international scale like the Rape of Nanjing or maybe even the Donner Party.

I'll start.

>Peter Keller was a pants-on-the-head-prepper who made videos of his plans for 'the end' before murdering his wife and daughter and fleeing to his makeshift bunker in Kings County Washington
>He is still listed as only a suspect in the murder in most publications since he committed suicide after SWAT officers had reached his bunker.

No, just something unidentified on a live webcam thats not too far from an interesting island with a military base on it.
