A relative of my mother in law claimed to be a psychic, and being an occultfag I felt compelled to investigate, though before we had spoken and even before I was introduced, I could tell that she was a con artist.

Very new-agey and no real knowledge of esotericism, she just has a vague gypsy dialect (if that's even a thing?) which even sounds put on. She can read tarot and make sweeping generalizations like the best of them, though she makes good money from it. More power to her I suppose, my 'knowledge' on related subjects has made me a net positive of 0.

I'm not borrowed by palm readers and the like as long as they try to give advice that's good in general, never tell anyone not to listen to the doctor, etc., and if someone is in mourning, advise them to see a therapist or something. Especially since most people who go to those kinds of psychics are just in it for entertainment or a little bit of advice.

We don't have any known frequencies or planets nearby that would host life, and even if they some whole harnessed black holes in a way to support a species, there are no near enough black holes nearby.

Plus with the way our galaxy is expanding, with our solar system and local stars going in one direction, and the voyagers heading the other way, by the time alien life finds them, the pioneer plaques may be somewhat useless as to pinpointing us through the pulsars.
