I am fascinated by NDEs and other alternative states of consciousness. I'm not sure which is more likely; that the experiences are the hallucinations of a dying brain or that there is some form of consciousness after death.

I do believe, in either case, that the stories these people tell are absolutely crucial to our complete understanding of the human experience.

something pretty weird happened this week and it's still on my mind.

>be me
>laying in bed listening to an album
>felt much more relaxed than usual, was laying on my back with my right hand placed over my left, both resting on my waist and my right leg over the left leg
>eyes are closed
>album is a really good post-punkish album from the early 80s with a lot of minimal wave influence
>one particularly creepy song comes on
>I suddenly feel a strong twitch in my right leg and it jolts upright a bit
>at the same time as the twitch, I see man's face appear in my head
>it lasts only a second, but the man is looking at me with an extremely cold stare
>continue to lay there wondering what the fuck that was
>after the album is over I go back to see what song I was listening to when I saw the face, and of course its title references the devil
>did this music conjure up an entity that moved through my body somehow?

I researched the band after and discovered that one of its touring members Bruce Geduldig died earlier this year. Pic related is him, his face looks pretty similar to the one I saw. And this was the song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LxRO3X2D6tY

So what do you think /x/? I've experienced things like synesthesia through music before, but never anything this vivid or startling.

I just reediscovered these pictures i had taken 2 years ago

I know this is probably going to sound insane. This is probably a result of too much time spent researching the occult and ancient religions.

By have you ever seen something that convinced you that there was such a thing as a god? That the earth shaking wasn't the result of tectonic plates, but the wrath of a being so far beyond your comprehension, you feel like an insect. That fire and ash raining from the sky was a form of divine cleansing and not lava?

Something like this happened to me recently. I saw a picture quite a long time ago, very similar to the picture I've posted. It was a girl in an ornate, alien headdress, entire body concealed by a nearly translucent veil. She was apparently naked beneath, and she sat on a palanquin/throne of an inexplicable construction. It looked almost of Thai or Vietnamese origin, but didn't fit anything I had seen. The light around her was suffused in this golden glow, as though the sun were setting somewhere behind her. And distantly, all around her were the figures of kneeling people.

Of course, since this was more than ten years ago, you may say I was misremembering it, or attributing more importance to it than there really was. I wouldn't be able to confirm or deny this- the painting had been at a local museum, which has closed and the fate of the work "La Deesse" is unknown to me. Actually, when I saw it for the first time, I'd almost felt a feeling of revulsion- it had been beautiful, but there was something strangely frightening. It was as if the girl in the portrait could see me, could sense me even past her closed eyes and knew everything about me down to my last molecule. My every secret.

The feeling persisted and only got stronger as I grew older. I've never seen the painting past the first time I witnessed it, but since then, I've been looking for her. This is probably the main reason I pursued occult and religion in my college studies. It was only a few weeks ago that I finally found her.

Ok so you guys believe in both aliens and paranormal stuff at the same time right?
If aliens come to earth to study us do they also come to earth to study paranormal stuff to?
Do aliens abduct ghosts, demons, monsters ect?
It seems like that would be a million times more interesting than random humans to study.

'sup /x/, this is a thread for secret rooms, passages, and tips on finding them.

Posting because I just woke up filled with a bizarrely certain feeling that our old family house in a foreclosure-riddled suburb of Las Vegas had multiple hidden chambers in the basement (oddly, the house didn't HAVE a basement that we knew off) that I needed to drive cross-country and find NOW, which struck me as odd.

Like, for minutes after waking up I was dead certain that secretive cult whose members weren't entirely human had stashed valuables, including full automatic weapons, gold, and people in suspended animation, in caches behind the walls for the coming apocalypse, when they could rise into the open and take the ruined and vacant city as their fortress-hive. Probably won't be driving hell for leather for the desert just in case it pans out, but it was extremely weird. if we go up there again this year I'll check it out and give updates.

>say "I understand everything now" and consciously make the decision to wake up
>still completely aware and subconsciously know that if I give into fear she will get to me and ruin me
>I literally say the Jesus prayer and do the cross gesture
>I provoke the demon by thanking it that she's proved to me that God exists
>start reading the New Testament and go to church every weekend, and during summer vacation every day almost
