Now at this point the reason we don't have flying cars or free energy yet should start becoming clear… But if it isn't let's try a thought experiment.

Pretend you're a genius, like Rick and Morty you can do anything level genius. Alcoholism optional.

So you've got the homemade spaceship and some easy, cheap ways for everyone to have one. Heck you even throw in a zero-point energy generator so anyone can generate as much power as they ever need using a bottle of bleach and a used tea bag. Great, right?

But here's the problem: as soon as you do that, an apocalypse hits the planet that not only wipes out 90% of humanity but every bit of tech we ever had. We're cavemen Morty! Cavemen!

But that's not your fault… is it? Ya son, afraid it is.

Because the galaxy is already occupied. There are lots and lots of intelligent species out there, all with as much technology as they can handle. Any one of them has a bad day they can go around supernovaing suns or bouncing galaxies into each other or popping the bubble that is our universe… but they don't.

And you know why?

Because they carefully arrange things so that they value each other’s right to exist and carefully value health, both physical and mental, so none of them go off the deep end.

And so by extension any up and coming species out there is allowed to do whatever it wants… on its own planet. But outside of that planet? No weapons man. Not cool. Because even if it's only a nuke, tomorrow it's a fusion bomb and after that a black hole maker and then who knows.

So everyone everywhere agrees: until you can figure out how to behave, you're grounded.

Which means that if a species ever starts getting too spaceborne without reeling in the violence, well then, that species needs a “natural” disaster to reset them. You've got to not only take away all their tech, but wipe out their entire culture if they're going to have a shot at evolving into something not so savage. That means bringing a full-on apocalypse so big the survivors aren't even left with the ability to record it.

It sucks but it's better than allowing a war mongering species loose into the galaxy.

Now here's the thing: part of me was thinking “Well ya but I could handle it, I mean it would be cool if I went around up there and stuff I wouldn't hurt anyone…”

You think so? And what would you do the first time an alien threatened to ground you? You telling me your first impulse wouldn't be to “fight for freedom”?

Or what if humanity really is getting too big for it's britches and they decide to reset us again? You going to be cool with it, letting billions die and all technology and history to be wiped out? You're not going to try to stop it, or try to cheat the system and save some tech or history?

Reality is a set of matter diffusing into mass and energy. Light displacement, etc. But it is subjective to the spectator. Since we are biologically program to interpret the data shown to our senses.

It's pretty difficult to answer. I mean it's more of an introspective question. Why would you live? i don't think the reason goes beyond simplicity. I mean the mere act of suicide can destroy any predisposition that we have as human beings to obey a command.

Does life have a begin and end?Or are we immortal? if so where do we go afterwards.
If we are composed of the same atoms as the rest of the universe i do not see a reason for us not to have the same end as anything else that exist within the universe. ex a star collapsin and dust starting to accumulate to form another star. But does life have a begin or an end? What is time without space and vice-versa? Nothing but the mass in the middle of a particular set of events that happen to congregate and occur at some instant. Time is an illusion and that is the reason for it to be relative.

Reality is the interpretation of time and space and also the dimension in which occurs. Because other wise there has to be a super reality that intergrates all the spaces at once.

Sometimes feel like Scully, yeah. But I don't really care for blanket denial of the paranormal. I mostly just like to consider all options, and play devil's advocate if necessary.

I don't know if I have any good examples off the top of my head, but I know a scenario that irks me.

"I'm a demon/monster hunter, AMA."

Monsters are a passion of mine, from cryptids to bogeymen. I would love nothing more than to have evidence that my knowledge could be put to good use. But the stories always turn out to be roleplaying or mental illness, and it always becomes obvious when you actually do start asking them questions.

I don't think most other people take them seriously either.

Yes I am definitely more open to evidence than Scully was on the show, I really would like to believe a lot of what I see but if you look at it from reasonable eyes a lot of what people on this board would think of as definite proof can be easily debunked. Still, there are a lot of things that simply have no scientific explanation, and that's what's really interesting.
