This is the physical interpretation of Cain, not Satan. Satan has no physical form
As in the stories, God grew horns out of his head and made him red like the blood he spilled
When witnessed by others they would know who he is
ok. Explain what Satan is.

Ever heard of the Versailles time slip? In 1901, Charlotte Anne Moberly and Eleanor Jourdain, two school principals from Britain claimed to have travelled back in time while visiting the Petit Trianon at Versailles. They encountered Comte de Vaudreuil, Marie Antoinette and architectural features that no longer existed in 1901. And then, just as mysteriously as they stepped back in time, they wound up back in 1901 as if nothing even happened.
That's not the only reported case of time travel. There are accounts of travellers who visited hotels only to find out they no longer existed, pilots flying over places where airfields SHOULD be only to see them missing, people entering stores decades out of time, people appearing or disappearing from rooms, and even churches that seemed to have services long after they were supposedly closed.
The thing is, almost all of these are extremely brief affairs. It is as if they only last a moment. The people who experience them always seem to find their way back to their own time period, which is odd, because one would expect there should be time lost people wandering about here or there. Perhaps equally odd, the people, places and things they interact with always seem to physically exist, and acknowledge them.
Some have speculated it is a natural phenomena, and that it may be the same sort of thing that gives rise to hauntings. Psychic imprints of the past that are so strong they continue to repeat again and again. But then, that doesn't explain how we can interact with them.
Equally baffling, why do we never hear reports of people time travelling into the future? Or is it simply that we don't recognize those reports? After all, would YOU know if you walked into a place that was a decade or two in the future? You'd have no point of reference for the styles and slang, while waking up in say the 70s would certainly stand out. Indeed, perhaps these time slips are a purely mental phenomena, which is still interesting.
Incidentally, if I remember correctly there was at some point a bunch of "lights fighting eachother" in the sky of medieval Germany. I can't remember the name of the incident, but it's been brought up before as "Aliens fighting aliens" and whatnot.
Someone hypothesized that what actually happened was a time slip in which the people saw a WW2 battle in the sky.
Interesting

Indeed, I'm going to have to do some research for myself.
Have you ever accidentally used 100% of your brain before in a pinch to induce a random type of psychic ability like telekinesis?
Saved me from a near miss head on collision when I decided I didn't want to die yet. I tipped the truck to it's sides

How is this myth that humans only use 10% of their brain not dead yet?

Fact: if you search for "how do I beat the saw guy" in Google you get the Statue of Liberty. There won't even be a single saw guy in the result.
I know because once I was under psychic attack and did the search to protect myself. So how much does Google know about magic and the unseen? How do you explain the statue's anti-memetic effect? Is there a relation between the Wheeping Angels and the statue?
Aohw

Ok, here's a real one. I typed this earlier for a coworker. I didn't want to have to try telling the story during a cigarette break. You can fact check the name if you want. Everything is true.
Ok, now I promised you a story about a ghost by a lake.
So, this was a couple of years ago. One of my friends was starting to get interested in the paranormal. He was living in his friend's house which was haunted. Of course it was! It was a house on the historic Fort Riley where many Native Americans were killed and many others died during the big Cholera outbreak. I tell him that I actually know quite a bit about the different theories of ghost, spirits, things that go bump in the night. I have spent my entire life studying the paranormal. So he wants to go ghost hunting. I know of a place on Fort Riley that a friend of mine had some really bad feelings about as we drove around it late one night. She was very "open" and sensitive to this kind of stuff. I hadn't really felt anything other than her own anxiety at the time. I never considered myself "sensitive" until this night.
Now, this lake was hidden away up a very steep hill off into the woods. It's been said, though I never looked into the history, that on the other side of the woods, at the very top of the hill was a Native American ceremonial mound. We stayed clear of that for two reasons. One, there wasn't a very clear path to it ,and two, unless you know what you're doing with Native American culture, stay away from their paranormal stuff. It can be down right dangerous. The main reason we wanted to check out this lake was because of a story from only about 3 years previous. Some guys were working on a construction project on the lake when one noticed something sticking out of the water. It was a car antenna. They could see the car submerged just below the water level. When the car had been dragged out, they discovered that it belonged to a local girl named Echo Wiles that had gone missing 5 years earlier. And she was in the backseat of the car. Apparently she had been a dancer at the local strip bar and had been dating a soldier on post while her husband was deployed to Iraq. When she found out she was pregnant she told her boyfriend. They argued, he choked her until she passed out and threw her in the back of the car. He went inside the bar they were at, had some drinks, came back out and realized she was dead.
(Sorry this is many posts. Fucking paragraphs and character limits...)
Fast forward about 7 or 8 years. We assembled a group of four, my friend and I as well as two other guys we hung out with and headed to the lake. We drove around and parked at one end of the lake and got out to look around. The overly dramatic cowboy of our group made a mention that we were being watched by something. He could feel it. I only felt the anxiety from this statement and rolled my eyes at his William Shatner-esque dramatic flair. My friend was starting to feel pretty scared by this little adventure, at one point grabbing my arm in fear and stopping me in my tracks when he saw a glowing red dot in the distant shadows. Me, being a smoker, instantly recognized it as someone sitting in there truck having a cigarette...or maybe a joint of marijuana. I explained it to him and he relaxed a bit. At this time we were walking underneath the light of the only light in the park. Mr. Cowboy and and our fourth man, let's call him Mr. Quite as he was just along for the ride decided to go up the trail into the dark to try and find something and take some pictures. My friend, who I will now call Mr. Scaredy Cat refused to leave the light, so I hung back with him. I had a cigarette and we talked for a few minutes. Eventually he had calmed down enough that I convinced him to go up the trail with me. As we started up the path and left the circle of light I felt something very sharp. Not physically but psychological.
Haven't been here in awhile so maybe it still gets posted a lot.
Awhile back (two summers?) someone posted a link on here to a guy's webpage, claiming this guy had mathematical proof of god. It was dense stuff, and since I'm not a pure math phd, impossible for me to tell if it was batshit, brilliant or both. Something about discrete sets and the philosophy of observing a system from within that system maybe? idfk
Anyway, anybody know it/can link?

Hey /x/, There is an odd happening at a building where I work, and I was wondering if one of you guys would have some insight or theories as to what's going on.
I posted about this back around Halloween, but the thread got washed away fairly quickly in the torrent of other content on /x/ at the time. I'll just go ahead and say there aren't any spooky skellingtons or anything. I just want to discuss what's been going on and hear what someone who is actually knowledgeable in this sort've stuff might think.
I work as a night-shift custodian on the campus of a medical center. Essentially, I have all night to clean a small medical facility. I've been doing it for 6 years. The pays good and there's no one there to bother you, so you can do your own thing. It's not my first job working alone at night. It's not common for me to feel scared or on edge about a place.
That being said, there is one building that I used to clean that bothered me. It was an office building where people's medical records and billing info was kept. While I was there, I always had this strange feeling that I was being watched by an old woman. Specifically, this image of a wrinkled old crone would come into my mind while I was cleaning, and it would not stop bothering me. It would get bad enough to where I'd have to actually go look around corners to make sure no one was standing there. Eventually, I got put at another building, and I haven't had to go back except a couple times.
>>18615979
But once, when I was on vacation, another guy that works for the company came and found me. He came to tell me that he didn't want to cover for me anymore, and that the entire time that he was at that building he felt like someone was breathing down his neck. A couple months later, I called in sick. A second coworker, who had no prior discussion with the first, came to find me and told me that the entire time he worked there he had a feeling like, "An old woman was watching him". He also said that he had a sense of "wrongness" the entire time he was there.
Since the last time I posted about this, a third coworker has mentioned this feeling. He said that he got in and got out as fast as possible. He said that he kept imagining "The Wicked Witch" was watching him. None of the people that have mentioned this to me have known one another, and after they tell me this, I then reveal to them what I've been told by others and what I have experienced.
I'm quick to tell people that I don't believe in ghosts. I do think there is a perfectly reasonable explanation for what's been going on, I just don't know what it is. Is it possible that a building has some sort of "aura" or gives off a specific type of energy that makes people subliminally believe they're being observed by a specific thing?
>>18615979
Ive seen this before exactly. Its a parasite. You got worms in your head they probably come from That building since theyre in your brain their hive must be in that building. They have mechanism for sensing their hive. Since they reside in your brain some of the cognitive signals must be giving you an odd feeling
>>18616013
That's a pretty lofty claim you've memed there, friend.
I'm being sincere when I say there have been multiple claims of the same thing happening at this location. I was thinking that the explanation would be somewhere along the lines of something subliminally putting the image of an elderly woman in people's minds. Not worms.
>The bunyip is a large mythical creature from Australian Aboriginal mythology, said to lurk in swamps, billabongs, creeks, riverbeds, and waterholes.
I lived right by a rainforest with a ton of creeks as a kid and I got constant nightmares from this creature mate. I'd hear wailing in the forest at night for the 12 years of my life I lived in Australia. Don't go into the rainforests in australia at night

Australia has so much weird shit that it's the one place I'd actually believe any legend I was told. Honestly, so many things that exist there can (and will) harm or kill you. It's nonsensical that they would make up fake things to scare people. The only explanation is that every Australian urban legend is 100% factual.

Allright /x/, help me find something please
About 10-12 years ago I saw a documentary on paranormal events that occurred to a UK family in the 70's-80's.
The family existed of the two parents and two little girls if I recall correctly.
There was some kind of presence that fucked around with the family: weird and unearthly voices, knocking, hearing someone running up and down the stairs while actually looking at empty stairs, dog barking in the middle of the living room (they had no dog)...
Things got so bad they called in two people to investigate, they recorded some things flying around in the room, they captured the voice on tape and even conversations with this voice I think. Eventually they moved, but not for a good few years I think.
There were suggestions the two sisters were responsible and that they made the voice, but it didn't sound like anything a little girl could create.
Also I remember the documentary saying that the investigators communicated with the spirits with the girls in the same room while they had their mouths full of water, to ensure they weren't involved.
That's about everthing I remenber about it, does anyone know what I'm talking about?
Any links to what family it may have been, or by chance the documentary are greatlyappreciated.
I've been trying to find it for years now, but I don't really have any keywords to google and I'm dying to read up on it more, since this the only believable and plausable paranormal event I've ever seen.
