How does one go on about starting their own religion in modern times?

I have a system, belief and pantheon, and i certainly believe in them since they have proved to be real and useful to some extent, but in this age of cynicism and "that's all bullshit" types that have always been prevalent throughout human history, it's almost impossible to get other people to follow your own faith.

I can maybe get some friends to bump my beliefs into cult status at the very least, but that and the other methods I've thought of would just come across as any religious scammer you'd find nowadays.

I can't just up and start like the prophets that have gone down in history, because it simply doesn't work that way anymore, and using things like a blog or a site just take away any crediblity further.

I don't want to force anyone into it, but I'd love to share my beliefs with other people and at least make them consider it.

I don't know what's going on. I wish I could make jokes about this, but it's become pretty terrifying. Everyday has been in hyper speed.
