Most abandoned places are quiet. very little is inside, but we try to take something so we can remember it. We took floor plans from a powerplant, letters from an abandoned storage unit warehouse, a wheel that attached to a drain, she likes it the most when it's featured in the video we make. So we're in an abandoned mason lodge outside of Pineville in North Carolina. We go at night to add to the spook factor, she likes the tinge of fear when she's exploring. We take our two phones for flashlights and one old cracked phone to record. We entered the side of the building so we aren't seen. It's a torn down building at the end of a torn down city block with two floors. the bottom is filled with broken church pews and old christmas decorations. There's a kitchen area with old jars of mustard and paint cans. next to the side entrance is a cement stair well. I tell my girl that I can fuck her on the stairs(stairs work well for doggy because she's 5'3" and I'm 6'4") but she wants to get fucked up stairs against a broken window. Usually we don't climb stairs because they might break, but the stairs were literally cement so we decided to go up stairs. as we walked up we realized it's also the only way down, but I wasn't going to punk out like a bitch so we kept climbing. At the top there was a hallway that went all the way to the other end of the hall. to the right, there was a busted door that revealed bathroom stalls. My girl walks right in like the white girl in a horror movie she is. I decide to stay put and look around. She walks in there and while I'm peering into the hall way looking for homeless or animals, a figure leans forward from a room at the end of the hallway.

I cover the light on my phone and freak right the fuck out. I whisper shout to my girl "shitttt!!!" My girl immediately runs to me and latches on to my arm. We didn't say or move forever, it seemed forever. Finally she says "What was it?" and that's when my mind finally started to analyze what it was. My mouth blurted out "It was a girl." As I said it, my mind flashed an image of the girl. Short with long hair and a pretty face. At that moment, for no reason, I had a thought that completely changed my life. "I want to fuck that ghost." I never realized it, but all at once it became so clear. Why be scared of a girl ghost!? If she was real she wouldn't be a barbie doll, She must have tits and a puss. What would catch her of guard more than a dude wanting to smash? Then I have my second life changing thought. The ghost might not want to get fucked, but I would still smash. So the next thing I said with a confidence that I've never had in my entire life was: "I'm going to rape that ghost!"

My girlfriend later told me she thought I was obviously joking, but when I grabbed her hand and walked forward, she got really scared, and she says she tried to tell me to stop. I walked into the hallway. I marched forward without hesitation. Never in my life had a movie, or a video game, or any situation so perfectly suspended my disbelief like that moment. My mind fully believed I had found a girl ghost and I was going to rape it. My determination felt like redemption for every moment in those alien or bigfoot specials where I screamed at the television to the eye witness who didn't get close enough to get a clear image, or a still video. I was gonna rape rape rape.

[PART 2] - White River National Forest.

Still I had packed a Glock 20 and a Henry All-Weather rifle in 45-70 for fear of bears and Mountain Lions. I had also brought, for the fun shooting part my Lee- Enfielfd rifle I had been gifted by my dad. I also Remington shotgun stashed on my truck from a previous hunting trip. My friend Barney also had packed a Mossberg shotgun with some slugs. Joe had brought and AR-15 and Lambert just had a bow, and since he was gonna learn how to shoot, we had armed him with a 12 shot .38 special lever rifle I had never heard about that Joe had procured for the occasion.

At this point I should also mention we also women accompanying us. Since their role in this story is minimal, I won't introduce them.

We set up camp around 11:00AM. Barney set-up to prepare a fire and ready us lunch while Joe cleaned up the area. Me, Lambert and the girls went out to check out a stream and just hike a bit. We returned at 1300, ate, bullshitted around, then set out to hike again. This time we brought along our guns and the stuff we were gonna shoot at. We found a suitable spot at around 1515 after much goofing around and started putting down rounds on cups and plates we had bought for the occasion until we got tired of it.

It was about 1745 when we decided to return to camp for cozzy drinking and weed time by the fire.

As we left, Barney lagged a bit behind as he was picking up some brass and shells from the ground. He was maybe about 100 feet behind us when I turned around to call to him. I saw B standing there looking diagonally from the path we took. He looked stupidly confused and at the same time startled, so I turned back to see what was up.

We decided to book it back to camp instead hanging around the area with a bear, as it got dark.

Back at camp we noticed the second of the evening's odd incidents. Two of the girl's belongings had been rummaged through. Personal belonging scarred everywhere, but everything else left intact. Barney volunteered to ask if either of the women where on their periods, because that would explain why an animal would go sticking it's nose in their clothing (one of them was at the end of her cycle.)

[PART 3] - Clever Girl

At around 1900, Joe caught sight of a large figure moving about the edge of the camp. We presumed it was the bear, but given that we had fire, numbers and guns, we stood easy.

At around 1915, Barney had also caught sight of the animal circling the perimeter as light shone on it momentarily.Barney commented it was the weirdest black bear he ever saw. It had a very "bear" like appearance, but it seemed hunched over too much, and there was something off to it's appearance.

At around 1918, I had seen it too. Like Joe said it looked much like a bear, but there where a few off things. For one this animal was huge. Black Bears are big, but this one was almost the size of a Grizzly. Also it was somewhat more muscular, it hunched over a lot and drooped it's head, but it also stood powerfully with it's forelegs straight while it's hind legs where crouched low. The fur seemed thick, and the animal had kind of a short mane, but it also thinned down a lot on it's limbs and lower body.

The facial profile was also kinda different. Bears have a familiar "bearish" face that makes you think they are cute and lovable. This animal looked mean. As if it's sole existance was to kill and eat things. I actually mean it looked mean. It's snout was shorter, yet thicker. Think of a Tibetan Mastiff minus the adorableness. It's ears where round like a bear's, but a bit pointier, looking more like that of a Raccoon. Around it's neck the black fur became reddish, and the thing drooled everywhere. Movement wise, it had that certainty of movement and grace like that of a large hunting dog, not that drooping, loose gaint of a bear.
