You know OP, if you don't have a spare 25 bucks you should be concentrating on things other than space aliens.

>what should I do/read?

The basic concept of the Absolute is that it is the truest reality. However, there are three general ways of conceiving it. The Absolute might be (1) the first and greatest being, (2) not a being at all but the "ground" of being, or (3) both the ground of being and a being.

In conception (1) the Absolute is the most true and intelligible reality. It can be spoken of and known. For example, Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel's Absolute Spirit is the most true reality. It is thinkable, speakable, and exists in objective world by comprehending everything, including people, states, and world history.

In (2) the Absolute might be conceived of as utterly outside of all other reality and hence unintelligible. It cannot be known or spoken about. Plato's Socrates says that "The Form of the Good" is "beyond being",[10] implying that it is even beyond thought, language, and normal categories of existence. St. John of the Cross says:

He who truly arrives there

cuts free from himself;

all that he knew before

now seems worthless,

and his knowledge so soars

that he is left in unknowing

transcending all knowledge

In (3) the Absolute might be conceived of as transcending duality and distinction. This concept of a fundamental reality that transcends or includes all other reality is usually (but not always) associated with divinity. While this conception initially seems contradictory, it has been highly influential. One way to understand this third conception is to consider the Tao te Ching.

The Tao that can be spoken is not the eternal Tao.

The name that can be named is not the eternal name.("Tao te Ching," 1)

These opening lines distinguish between two Taos. One is the "eternal Tao" (which cannot be named or explained) and the other "Tao" seems to exist in space and time (and can be named and explained). The eternal Tao is beyond existence and cannot be named or fully understood, while the other Tao exists and can be known. The eternal Tao is infinite; the other is finite. The eternal Tao is formless; the other is formed. The eternal Tao is transcendent; the other is immanent. The other "Tao" is an attempt to describe the "eternal Tao" in human terms; but such effort can never express the eternal Tao fully. He continues:

The nameless is the origin of Heaven and Earth

The named is the mother of myriad things

Thus, constantly without desire, one observes its essence

Constantly with desire, one observes its manifestations

These two emerge together but differ in name

The unity is said to be the mystery.
In these lines, he further discusses the difference between the two Taos. The eternal Tao is "nameless" and is the origin of Heaven and Earth; this "origin" can be understood as an underlying metaphysics that cannot be described fully. The "named" Tao, on the other hand, is able to describe specific phenomenons that exist in space and time, hence it is the mother of myriad of things; it also can be treated as the humanly conceived concepts in the effort to describe our physical world. Later, he points out that both the "named" and the "nameless" emerge together from the same eternal Tao. This seemingly self-contradictory unity, of course, is said to be the "mystery" to be understood.

Anyone wanna tell me what's in the link? I ain't clicking shit.

Does anyone else find it disturbing and creepy that we spend 1/3 of our life completely unconscious? Not just individually, but collectively? All of us, completely passed out and unaware of what is even going on. I wonder what really happens in our houses during that time.

So I got a serious question. I know a lot of you fags don't like these types of threads but we will see what happens. The law of attraction says if you want something bad enough it will happen, right. Well let's say I wanted my dream job. Lets saying racing cars. I wanna make money doing it. Is this possible were if I meditated on it and believed I would becoming a driver for a team. Would the universe make it true?

I always hand race cars over to people that dreamed about driving instead of working their way up thru the ranks.

So let's jam on that
Trust in God and keep your powder dry
The good lord helps those who help themselves

Yeah there is a lot of God there
But you can can swap it for what you want

Power of Attraction
Sure do it, but help out

Know what kind of cars you want to race.
Vast difference between Formula 1 and Street.

In the end it rolls around to another one
Fake it till you make it, man

The law of attraction is more of a mindset to find what you want more easily in practice than it's advertised mail order system.

For the past week or so my gadgets have been acting very odd and I've been getting these weird feelings. My internet will slow down drastically but show that it's at a normal speed. My computer has been crashing a lot of programs that have previously worked perfectly fine. My phone sometimes acts as if it's bottoms on the outside don't work, I can scroll (if available) but I can not click any buttons on my screen, then it will just go to sleep (despite having the option for timed sleep off). My apple TV has been disconnecting from my TV even though it's still plugged in. My electric toothbrush mysteriously stopped working and it's only 2 months old. My cat as been hunkered down on the floor a lot and has been sticking near me. And sometimes I get the feeling two figures are standing above me when I'm trying to sleep. Is anyone else experiencing weird stuff like me? Am I just paranoid?

Put in headphones to listen to music. Phone screen still black, have not entered passcode or activated screen yet. Static sounds start coming through headphones, then what sounds like a very distorted voice talking.

Heard static before, but not like this... Any other experiences with this? Can "lines cross" without being inside of a phone call?

Not fucking related at all, but it reminds me of when I was on the phone to my gf at the time, and I could hear shit, people were talking, so I told my gf to shut up and listen and then we could both here these other people talking.. Then later they said shut up and listen, and they listened to us. Not paranormal but was funny at the time.

When I was at University my speakers used to start emitting weird noises and talking in a strange language. They used to do this in the middle of the night and would do so even when they weren't connected to anything.

Used to freak me the fuck out.

I later found out that it was portuguese shipping forecasts which were being picked up. Your phone is probably doing the same thing.

Do you believe there are time travellers among us?

no, and i think anyone who does lacks a very basic understanding of causality; even backwards-time causality (future affecting past) doesn't allow for this.

You know, funny story. I was on a bus recently and some drunk old engineer looking type was blabbering on to me about being from a different world or some shit. He lost me at wizards and MK Ultra.

But shit, he didn't look crazy. He looked pretty damn sane and brilliant. So go figure. He was rambling on about shit like how time is all fucked up, and there's a group of "ancient ones" trying to get together to fight some kind of war lol.

Been some crazy shit going on ever since PizzaGate and Trump. Not even joking. Some absolutely weird fucking shit has been happening, and I live in Canada.

I saw some bitch at a festival this month, jesus. Couldn't see her face, but my first instincts when looking at her was "Which timeline is she from". She didn't look like she fit in at all.

Her clothing was like... victorian or elizebethan but very modern. Almost like an asian/European blend, but in such a weird way she literally, just by my reflex, appeared to be a "time traveller" lol. Not even joking.

So, uh, yeah. Who knows. Time is relative right? Quantum science is pretty mind blowing.

Fourteen years ago I was walking down an abandoned trail in Toledo. I won't name it, because it's 3 and 1/2 miles from the subdivision I was living in. I was with my (then) fiancee, and we were really just cruising for a good spot to smoke weed and look at the stars.
At around 1:15 AM, there was a brief sound like a car backfiring. I knew it wasn't gunfire but alyssa was scared shitless, because she thought someone was hunting and we might get killed. I tried to calm her down, because I know what hunting rifle shots sound like, and that it could have been a tree falling or really anything, but she asked to turn back, so we did. It wasn't ten minutes later when we realized we had wandered off the trail and were lost. I wasn't overly concerned; no GPS obviously but I figured we couldn't have wandered that far, so I would just wander in a radius around her while calling to her and seeing if I could find the trail. We both had flashlights so I didn't think it would be a problem.
Eventually, I decided we were good and lost. I called out, "alyssa?" and she did not respond. Now I became very frightened, and instincts took over, I ran towards where I figured she was, and of course, I trip over a branch. When I come to, there's an alien standing in front of a tree. I took a picture but its gone now thanks. For the rest of this post I'll talk about my dog. Scruffy is about 15 lbs wet.
A shih tzu, golden brown, white and black, typical yapper dog. Scruffy likes to play in the yard, and come with me when I go on hiking adventures. I tie a red bandanna around Scruffy sometimes because I feel like that makes her look cuter. She likes to sit on my lap when I write posts on the internet, which is now.
