I haven't been lurking here for very long, but I think I understand the basics here.

Most people wanna discuss unusual things, and some people just want to find some spooky stories or some shit.

I have a collection of spooky stuff from my family I feel like sharing, so if you wanna read some of the stories here that's cool.

All of it is real, or at least my family told me it was, but I trust them 100% And most of it isn't really hard to believe anyway.

A little bit of background, me and some parts of my family live in Africa, so some of the stories surround the local folklore and things like that.

Ill start off with a little explanation of my dad. My dad was kind of the black sheep in his family, he had 3 other brothers who all out did him in school and everything. He was also a huge delinquent apparently, always causing trouble and drinking at a young age etc. His mom (Grandma Uh Oh we called her, since that was her famous phrase for everything) was so worried about his future she even sent him to a Sangoma (An African which doctor who could supposedly tell the future.)

We had a little bit of history with the paranormal, but my dad was always a straight up guy who didn't believe in that shit. Long story short he ended up becoming the most successful out of his brothers, probably because his life turned around when he went and fought in the Angola wars.

I'm designing a set of Tarot cards for use in fiction, but I'd like to actually design the thing and figure out how it works before I do anything with it. I figured that this was as good a place to post as /lit/, but I might x-post. What I've come up with so far is this.

Minor Arcana Suits
-Copper: Pragmatism, labor, skill in everyday trades. Copper is the metal of practical use, and it's value goes up when it is utilized for practical purposes rather than as a medium of exchange. The suit speaks of actions.
-Gold: Appearances, trade, luxury, and travel. Gold is precious but malleable, desirable but impractical. It shares some overlap with the silver suit as representative of material fortune, but the suit if gold stands for more of a trading position than a long term investment.
-Silver: Birthright, value, permanence. Silver is valuable as a medium of exchange, and while less malleable than gold it can still be shaped while being more resilient. It is more subtle and low key, less a suit of barter and speculation than one of investment and position.
-Iron: The metal holds no value as a medium of trade, but holds much value when shaped into tools of violence. Iron working has been a secret of the ruling class, and a tool for subjugation. The suit of touches on both secrets and power dynamics.

Minor Arcana Face Cards
Instead of the typical scheme of Page, Knight, Queen/Princess, and King/Prince I would like to make the face cards their own entities while keeping them in theme with their respective suits. Something like a culmination of each suit's respective qualities but possessing qualities of their own to a greater degree than the other cards.

Major Arcana
I have no idea what to do here, I'm going to try to hash out the minor arcana first.

I called police then and told them what I had seen. They first did not believe me but because of me insisting so hard decided to send a car. When they arrived Tell those two cops what happened, then policeguys and me drive back to woman's place. The front door was open. Policeguys told other policeguys about the situation, to check the address and call for second car.

Is uploading your mind to a computer and living on the internet forever merely a trap from the archons?

I understand they feed off of fear and anxiety.

When I was 9 years old (1999) I ran away from home. My father was a machinist and worked late nights, and my mother was my teacher. I was homeschooled and only knew these two people. My father was an abusive alcoholic and used to beat me, but never laid a hand on my mother. We lived in an underdeveloped business area in rural Alaska, miles from suburbia.
It wasn't uncommon for business to start, and tank within the same year, so when I left I found an abandoned building and decided to make my home there.
I found a small broken window that lead to the basement of a 4 story building and I broke in.
There were signs that other people had come into this building before me, and me not really knowing how to talk to people had me very frightened. I explored for hours, the 3rd and 4th floor were in bad condition. There were holes in the walls, as if someone had come in and just smashed them. Broken chairs, tables, cabinets, all sorts of things. I found a room with a push lock on the door and decided to make my camp there. This was during a period where we only had sun for about 6 hours a day so without natural light this building was pitch dark, and beyond freezing.
In what I imagine was the middle of the night when I had dozed off I heard glass shattering and the sound of a man screaming as if he was writhing in pain.
It sounded as if he was breaking everything he could get his hands on.
His voice seemed to split where he was screaming and wheezing as if it were two people. This terrified me. Even though I had the door locked and was on a different floor I still worried for my safety. I flicked my lighter on and burned some manilla folders to look around the room. I found a hole in the wall that was just big enough for me to fit in so I dove in and crawled as far back as I could go.
The man screamed for hours and wheezed. It sounded like he was being tortured but he was the only one there.
