Claim your place. Clean it thoroughly, cleanse it, rearrange furniture to your taste, play loud music you enjoy, fill it with smells you enjoy, put up protections on the borders of your place, and if all else fails, bang pots and pans in the middle of the night while explicitly telling them to fuck off.

If, and this is a huge if, they have something to tell you or give you, make sure this happens on your own terms. They are guests in your house for as long or as little as you will have them, and make sure to remind them of that. Rude guests get cast out.

The first time was when I was about 7 in my parents house. I was sleeping on the floor because cousins were visiting. Maybe around 1 or 2 am, I heard something and looked up to see it walk from our hallway to the kitchen. It just walked past. Didnt speak or anything. It looked similar to pic related, and was more brownish tan sorts of colors. I grew up thinking I was just a young kid and my eyes had played tricks on me. Until it happened again. I was 17 this time. Same house. Laying on the couch watching tv. Around midnight or 1ish, I got up to turn the tv off and when I turned back for the couch, I saw the same exact thing I saw as a kid. Only this time, I followed it into the kitchen but it had disappeared. I even looked in cabinets and everything. Havent seen it since. But once in awhile I get a feeling that its been following me my whole life for whatever reason.

Yes. I'm a reenactor and have been to events at several battlefields and camped overnight at a lot of them and yes there is crazy shit there.

I visited Gettysburg once with the family. Took a picture outside the wax museum and when we got the pictures developed, we were surrounded by what appeared to be worn out soldiers. Some standing beside us, some sitting down. You could barely see them, but they are there.

Lost the pic in a move and have been trying like hell to find it for 10 years now. I will find that fucking thing one day.

Here's another one. Also ended up living on the seminary campus. Late at nigh lights would turn on and off where there were no people in certain areas of buildings.

Also had a buddy who lived in a house on the ridge that used to quarter woulded soldiers in the attic. We went up there one day and saw holes drilled into the floor to drain blood, as well as etchings from soldiers counting their days with a knife. Later at night when downstairs you could hear screaming from up there, and at times the family piano would play itself. Not a real song, just nonsense.
