OFWGKTA
I've been a lover of /x/ for quite some time, from all the good missing person threads to the near shitposting qualities of Mandela Effect/Flat Earth threads. So this is my attempt to finally contribute something to /x/. It's about the book the Devil in White City, half about the serial killer H. H. Holmes and half about the Chicago World's Fair in 1893. I know H. H. Holmes is commonly discussed, but I never found information similar to that I found in the book.
The author and journalist behind it, Larson, wrote it using primary sources and citing dozens of books written on Holmes. He traces Holmes beginnings as a boy, to the creation of his murder castle, and all the way to his death sentence, focusing on nine victims that he murdered along the way.
My post condenses Larson's research into what I believe are the most interesting moments, real quotes, and anecdotes about Holmes chronologically for the most part. I'm sorry that I couldn't translate the information into the usual way /x/ posts are here, but the post went to be very long and I tried to structure it in a way so that it can be skimmed for information and ready easily.

With all due respect, I personally think it's more interesting to read The Devil in the White City on it's own. It's a very well put together true crime book that any serial killer buff should go through.
Any interesting abandoned places or just plain creepy areas around the Hampton Roads areas?
is tribetwelve spooky? is it too late to get into it?
also general internet spooks thread

Hey Anon. Though it does have a decent story (from what I remember), the dude uploads like MAYBE twice a year. The effects are very basic slenderman series-esque, but he does manage to pull it off in a very original, and artistic way while still managing to freak you out a few times. I'd say watch it 'til you get bored. If you don't get bored of it, there you go.
I've been watching since around the time he started and still to this day I check up every couple of months to see if he's back yet

He's great at representing visually the mindfucks the character is going through.
Like, really good.
Another great webseries is Petscop. It's unfortunately frozen right now but it's worth the watch.
Hey guys ive been thinking about this incedent for awhile now and decided here would be a good place to share it.
So it all starts when I was about 12 or 11 and me and my family where going on a massive trip going across America. Most of the ride was really nice with lots of pretty things to look at. Towards Kansas it started to get really boring and we where trying to find a hotel to sleep for the night but the only thing you can see is corn and fields. Its pitch black with the only light coming from the headlights of the car. We where listening to the radio with mostly 80's soft rock playing and then the radio station went silent with a sudden zap. It made us all jump amd we laughed it off then the radio station went back on. It was sounds of a women screaming her head off. We where all spooked, it sounded so real and so blood churing that it would take serious acting to replicate. We left it on for a minute or so and changed it about a half an hour later we where curious if it was still going and to out surprise it was but more grainy than before. The pitch black of the night and corn fields werent making the mood feel any more comfortable while we listen to see if anything changes with the radio station. The women kept screaming and screaming... and then nothing. the sound of a door slamming came in slightly and then a few moments later it went back to regular radio.
Needless to say those sounds still creep me out to this day and I wonder what happened on the other side of that broadcast...
Thank you for reading

How do I prevent from abusing my powers as a healer? Surprised how hard I have to resist just becoming an incubus.
How exactly does one abuse healing powers? Just don't be an asshole, and heal people.
>becoming an incubus
An incubus is a demon, dude. You're not going to become an incubus.
>>19507447
Because healers are basically living opiates.
>you're not going to become a demon
Phew ty for reassuring me that I will never abuse this power I didn't have for 21 years
Reject sacrifice. Don't sacrifice yourself AND don't sacrifice others. You can harmonize your temptations to gain more for yourself by finding ways to gain more for yourself at the simultaneous gain of other people.

>Be me, 4 years old
>wake up early in the morning in my loft bed
>Strange mist/smoke type entity floating in my room level with my bed
>Kind of looks like pic related but less spoopy
>Waves back and forth
>get up and watch it
>Not scared of it, bizarrely comfortable with it
Can't really remember what happened after that, I think it disappeared and I went back to sleep. To this day, I'm not sure if it was real or just a dream but I remember it so vividly.
What is the general consensus on /x/ about the Knights Templar?
Were they truly in league with demons (Either literally, or metaphorically), or was their downfall a screwjob by the church?
Because I've been researching the history of my family in the Old World I recently found out I'm descended from a pardoned templar and it piqued my curiosity. I had already known my family was one of the first colonists in the New World and that the family itself helped construct much of what is now Quebec remaining, but the fact we were literally crusaders in the Outremer a few centuries prior paints everything the family has done here in a different light.
What does /x/ know of the templars immediately following the pardons of the 14th century, and what influence did they have in the New World in the 16th and 17th?
Putting on a trip just in case people have questions, I'll try to answer as many as I can without revealing personal information.
Are you Canadian?
>>19506894
After their "downfall" they ceased to exist. Anyone who was pardoned renounced the Templars and even if they continued in secret, it would have died out within a generation or two.
>>19506894
You have it backwards, the Knights Templars were the good guys, following the will of God, it was the evil Catholic Church that brought about their downfall as soon as they're usefulness had run out.
Whats have been the most creepy/paranormal/disturbing podcast episode you have listen to?
Not paranormal, but creepiest, most disturbing shit ever. Almost an hour, good luck getting through it:

I can't find the part in the Lesser key of solomon where it explains how each demon's Lamen is constructed.
Help would appreciated.
Today, on the day and hour of the moon, I plan to craft multiple silver sigils / laments. I plan to use some kind of silver plating and maybe nitric acid to use in the etching process. I will then consecrate these sigils using goetic methods, and will be used in goetic ritual work in the future. Has anyone had any experience here?
anyone know how do I use this chart?

Are BEKs Real???
>Image not related
No. The whole yt channel was fake.
>>19505943
Would it be illegal to molest a BEK? I mean, technically they're probably not human.
>>19508744
They eat people, they look like children on purpose.
/x/, I'm gonna spitball some stuff here. Tell me what you think:
We must worship the deep sea. Embrace the coming age, when the polar ice caps have melted and filled the oceans, and overflowed the now-coastal cities. Something exists down there, and it commands the very earth beneath us. Also, it is our only true salvation. What surface-level events take place will be of no extinction-tier consequence to us down below. The ocean surface will be a natural shield from almost all things.
Perhaps not our home, but our salvation, our one true chance for survival, lies down below, in the hostile, hellish abyss.
