I haven't read much other than a little bit of Serrano, but I would say its just another word for energy, with an emphasis on masculine/martial virtues and an aim toward legendary world-historical manifestations. I had a book on proto-indo-european religious mentality that I unfortunately lost when my computer died, but the gist of it was all about loving and taking responsibility for your fate, which seems to be the essence of a conqueror mindset.

It's interesting considering the Vril society was mostly female, and all extremely long haired. It's never been made particularly clear why the major practitioners were female, but they viewed the longer hair as providing them a better connection. This falls in line with other legends about long hair, and connections to supernatural energies or powers that provided one sort of benefit, or another, or many, and the concept of that being diminished with shorter hair. This begs questions about the circumstances of the Vril societies' creation. Were girls chose, primarily, n because they were thought easier to control, or were they just the most common in the areas combed for such peoples? Were Males less prone to such connections, or were the manifestations of Vril different based a gender, thus the men assigned differently, with small exception?

There are also the rumors that the girls in question were not simply connected to this power, or energy, but that their morals were already shaped by existing intelligence. People they were beholden to, or some unknown religion, belief system, spirituality, possibly even culture. It has not been made clear. Most information has never been disclosed in full. The girls seemed against the creation of weapons, but not in helping in the research and creation of better air transport. This hardline non-violence, though they didn't seem against self defense, suggests some moral shaping prior to their involvement in the Vril society, and something the Nazi party either wouldn't, or couldn't change about the girls, saying much considering some of the horrors and tortures attributed to the Nazis.

If some of the leaked photographs are indeed authentic, it suggests that they delivered more than mysticism. The transports seemed entirely functional.
